The sailors were exposed to many carcinogens, including buring oil from the Chiba oil refinery. The radiation doses to sailors involved in Operation Tomadachi was shown to be benign if that. Furthermore, a nuclear powered ship would well have the best radiation monitoring devices to detect radiation and each sailor is required to wear a Thermoluminescent Dosimeter (TLD) that would record their dose if any. Antinukes continue to make hay over this because they want to play on people's emotions that the USG doesnt care about its sailors. Far from the truth. That's an interesting theory. I have an alternate theory, though, based on the findings of the ship that ran into the fishing boat. It was reported that the ship was on autopilot when it collided with the boat. Were the others also on auto pilot? If they were, were these accidents caused by hackers?
