Regular disturbances in the oort cloud could send rocks tumbling into the inner solar system. Increased dust loading in the upper atmosphere is slowing the earth's orbit causing the earth to heat up. Foolish surface dwellers won't know what hit them.

I believe the "climate changes" and "Earth changes" weare experiencing right now, with increased earthquakes and volcanos, have to do with the increased pull of the galactic center as we pass through the center of mass of the galaxy. Think on that for a bit. ;)
