The amount of Te-132 that came out of a particle accelerator to charge a I-132 generator was a few milligrams and was bound to a resin mesh. <br /><br />It&#39;s pretty damn unlikely that it could ever escape into the environment in anything more than a few micrograms, and I doubt anybody still produces any for I-132 generators. The short half-life means nobody had an old stock of any quantity of it on hand to use. <br /><br />Pretty unlikely to be the cause of a detection that persisted for hours.
