stock here: I wrote about this a few weeks back, the idea that a personality type (leftism) could be defeated.
from the article
You will never see conservatives trying to defend this kind of thinking. You see leftists defending it all the time. In my view, two recent events make our irreconcilable differences abundantly clear: The pandemic response and the shooting of Charlie Kirk.
During the pandemic we witnessed a clear fracture between conservatives and leftists in how we view freedom. Most leftists applauded the lockdowns, the mandates and the vaccine requirements. It wasn’t that they were afraid of Covid: They reveled in the vicarious power.
They became animals frothing at the mouth for more. They demanded that conservatives be fined, imprisoned, forced to comply with the mandates. Many even wanted our children taken away.
After Charlie Kirk’s assassination by a gay leftist (who confessed to his parents that he committed the attack after they recognized him in suspect photos), millions of other leftists danced, sang and cheered for the murder. They called for more blood, more death. They were in ecstasy.

I wonder what fraction of US Evangelicals still support Zionism. It may be nearly 100% — or it may be declining. My sense is support for Israel on the right is absolutely in decline. As a (non-Evangelical) Christian, I supported Israel my whole life until slowly starting to back away from the idea 20-ish years ago. My suspicion Epstein gave / sold blackmail material on high-ranking US politicians & businessmen to the Mossad, then Trump realized that and refused to reveal more about Epstein to the public really ticks me off. I suspect Israel has far more influence over the US government than any foreign nation should have, and is using it to try to suck the US into a war with Iran (whom I remember taking US hostages in the late 70’s and always disliked until Israel attacked them while Trump distracted them with nuclear negotiations this summer). I suspect the reason nearly all US presidents of my lifetime have unconditionally defended Israel is in large part because of wealthy Jewish mega-donors (how much of their personal wealth came from Israel’s state patronage of them? and how much of that, in turn, came from US taxpayer money given to Israel every year?) and/or Epstein-style blackmail material over those politicians or others close to them controlled by the Mossad.
Bottom line: I’d like to see US support of Israel questioned at all levels and corrected so that the US pursues its own national interest first, not Israel’s. I’d also like Epstein’s true handlers to be revealed. If it was the CIA / Deep State, all such programs to blackmail US politicians & elites should be eliminated and those in the US-DS who created them or managed them fired and prosecuted, potentially for treason. (I’ve heard rumors of other CIA/Mossad “honeypot” operations, and at least one person who began to talk about it turn up dead. I think Epstein got caught only because he was sloppy / less intelligent, and there may well be other such operations still running, though under “better”/more intelligent management.) If it was Israel or Britain’s MI-6, those nations should be punished in some way for spying on and/or blackmailing US elites. The corruption in the US gov _and_ our relations with other “allies”(?) desperately needs to be exposed and cleaned up.
