So knowing how much more intense
Japanese capitalism is, the burden and burnout of the Salaryman compared to
my American spoiled brat society, I come back to my possibly selfish gladness that I don’t have kids. I have
little help to offer. At least in this case of Wajima, we’re not seeing the laser or DEW molten car parts, right? Looking at
the keeled-over multi story buildings, I
wonder at the building code. Are they running Natural Gas utilities? All electric? Something is burning.
As much as I loved the beach, I know
that the oceans are leaving their beds, and I want to be in the right place.
