Is It Time To Just Shut Up?

stock here, a commentator brought up this scripture:

Amos 5:13 comes from the Book of Amos in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), which is part of the collection of writings from the Minor Prophets. In this verse, Amos addresses the social injustice and corruption taking place in Israel. The full verse reads:

Amos 5:13 (ESV):
“Therefore he who is prudent will keep silent in such a time, for it is an evil time.”

This passage speaks to the atmosphere of moral decay and rampant injustice during Amos’ time. It suggests that even wise or prudent individuals may choose to remain silent in such corrupt times because it is too dangerous or futile to speak out. Amos is reflecting on the fact that society has become so unjust that those who might otherwise advocate for change feel powerless or discouraged to do so.

This verse is part of a broader context in Amos Chapter 5, where the prophet condemns Israel for their neglect of justice and their hollow religious practices. Amos calls for justice and righteousness to be restored, famously declaring in Amos 5:24:
“But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

The entire passage critiques the society’s failure to live up to its moral and ethical obligations, particularly in how the rich and powerful oppressed the poor.

The Book of Amos, including Amos 5:13, was likely written during the 8th century BCE. Scholars generally date it to around 760–750 BCE during the reign of Jeroboam II, who ruled the northern kingdom of Israel from about 793 to 753 BCE. Amos was one of the earliest prophets whose writings were recorded, and his ministry took place during a time of relative prosperity but also significant social inequality and injustice in Israel.

The message of Amos focuses on condemning the moral decay, oppression of the poor, and hollow religious practices prevalent in Israel at that time.

AI said this is not backsliding, but it sure as hell looks like backsliding to me.

During the reign of Jeroboam II in the 8th century BCE, the people of Israel engaged in various forms of idolatry that Amos and other prophets harshly condemned. These forms of idol worship were not new, but they intensified during this period, contributing to the spiritual and moral decline of the nation.
Types of Idolatry Practiced:

Worship of the Golden Calves:
This practice began under Jeroboam I, the first king of the northern kingdom of Israel, who set up golden calves at Bethel and Dan (1 Kings 12:28-29). The intention was to provide an alternative to worship in Jerusalem, which was in the southern kingdom of Judah, but it led the people into idolatry. These golden calves symbolized either the God of Israel or other deities, but this practice violated the central commandment against creating and worshipping images.
Jeroboam II continued this form of worship, leading to further religious corruption.

Baal Worship:
Baal was a prominent Canaanite god associated with fertility, storms, and agriculture. The worship of Baal involved various rituals, including sacrifices and possibly even immoral practices like temple prostitution. Baal worship was widespread during the time of Jeroboam II and was a constant point of conflict between the prophets (like Amos, Elijah, and Hosea) and the people of Israel.
Baal worship symbolized Israel’s spiritual unfaithfulness, as they adopted the gods of the surrounding nations instead of remaining loyal to Yahweh.

Asherah Worship:
Asherah was considered the consort of Baal and was worshiped as a fertility goddess. Her idols, often represented by sacred poles or trees, were set up on high places or in groves. These places of worship were seen as competing with the worship of Yahweh, and Asherah was often mentioned in connection with Baal.
The worship of Asherah was common among the Israelites despite it being explicitly forbidden in the Law of Moses (Deuteronomy 16:21).

Astral Deities:
During this period, the Israelites also engaged in the worship of astral deities (heavenly bodies like the sun, moon, and stars). Amos makes reference to this when he rebukes the people for worshipping the "star gods" (Amos 5:26), possibly referencing the practice of worshipping astral figures such as the Assyrian god Sakkuth and the star Kaiwan (associated with the planet Saturn).

Syncretism:
One of the key issues during the reign of Jeroboam II was syncretism, the blending of the worship of Yahweh with the practices and gods of the surrounding cultures. While the Israelites might have continued to observe certain rituals dedicated to Yahweh, they incorporated the worship of Canaanite and other deities into their religious life, diluting their exclusive devotion to God.

Practices Associated with Idolatry:

Sacrifices at High Places: Instead of offering sacrifices at the central temple in Jerusalem, people offered sacrifices at high places, often associated with idol worship. These high places were often dedicated to gods like Baal and Asherah.
Temple Prostitution: As part of fertility cults, it is believed that ritual sexual practices were sometimes used to invoke the favor of fertility gods like Baal and Asherah.
Injustice and Oppression: While this isn't idolatry in the strictest sense, Amos points out that social injustice—oppressing the poor, taking bribes, and depriving the innocent of justice—was deeply intertwined with their idolatry. The Israelites' focus on false gods led them away from God’s ethical demands.

Prophetic Condemnation:

Amos (Amos 2:6-8, 5:21-27) condemned the people not only for their social injustice but for their idolatry and hypocritical religious practices. He called out their sacrifices as meaningless because they were not backed by genuine righteousness.
Hosea, a contemporary of Amos, described Israel’s idolatry as spiritual adultery, comparing the nation’s relationship with Yahweh to an unfaithful spouse (Hosea 1-2). He especially focused on the worship of Baal.
Isaiah and Micah, who prophesied shortly after Amos, continued to denounce idolatry and called for a return to true worship of Yahweh.

Consequences of Idolatry:

The idolatry of Israel during Jeroboam II’s reign contributed to the nation’s downfall. Less than 30 years after Jeroboam II’s death, the northern kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Assyrians in 722 BCE. The prophets viewed this defeat as divine judgment for the people’s idolatry and social injustice.

In summary, the Israelites during Jeroboam II’s reign engaged in various forms of idolatry, including the worship of golden calves, Baal, Asherah, and astral deities, often blending these practices with the worship of Yahweh. This religious corruption led to social decay, which the prophets condemned, warning of impending judgment if the people did not repent.

The people being addressed in the Book of Amos were primarily Israelites, specifically the population of the northern kingdom of Israel. This kingdom had split from the southern kingdom of Judah after the reign of Solomon, forming two separate Hebrew kingdoms.
Who were the Israelites during this period?

Ethnic Background: The Israelites were the descendants of the ancient Hebrews, the people of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They were Semitic people, sharing common ancestry with other Semitic groups like the ancient Arabs. By this time, they had settled in the land of Canaan (modern-day Israel and Palestine) and formed a distinct cultural and religious identity based around their worship of Yahweh.

Jews: The term Jews is technically more appropriate for the people of the southern kingdom of Judah and their descendants. In the time of Amos, the term "Jew" would not have been used widely for all Israelites, but both the northern and southern kingdoms shared the same religious heritage based on the Torah (the Law of Moses).

Not Ashkenazi: The Ashkenazi Jews, who are primarily of Eastern European descent, trace their lineage back to the Israelites but emerged much later, in the Middle Ages in Europe. The people in the northern kingdom of Israel in Amos' time were not Ashkenazi; they were part of the original tribes of Israel.

Not Palestinians (in the modern sense): The term Palestinian as it is used today refers to the Arab population of modern-day Palestine (including the West Bank and Gaza). In ancient times, the region was known as Philistia (from where the name "Palestine" is derived), and the Philistines were a separate group of people who often clashed with the Israelites (e.g., the story of David and Goliath). The Israelites, however, were distinct from the Philistines.

Religion and Idolatry:

The people of the northern kingdom were primarily Israelites who practiced the religion of Yahweh, the God of Israel, but during this time, they fell into syncretism, meaning they mixed their worship of Yahweh with the practices of other local gods, such as Baal and Asherah.

Amos, a prophet, criticized the Israelites not for their ethnicity but for their religious and social transgressions—turning away from their covenant with Yahweh, practicing injustice, and adopting foreign religious practices.

In conclusion, the people Amos addressed were Israelites, not modern Ashkenazi Jews or Palestinians, but rather the ancient Semitic population living in the northern kingdom of Israel. Their ethnicity and religious identity were closely tied to the Hebrew heritage and their covenant with God.

Their overarching thesis posits an all-encompassing assault by elite powers on mass populations – the fat cats against “the people.” This is a global war, waged alongside various inter-elite geopolitical conflicts. In the long view, the omniwar is a struggle to establish a technocratic hegemony. It is a fight to crush our freedoms. It is a war against humanity.

All elite companies. Stay with me. What if, and I hope it’s not true, what if his free speech is just a ruse to bring in more surveillance? He does free speech in Brazil, they pass laws to kick free speech out. He did that Gavin Newsom meme, and Gavin said he’s more determined than ever to make draconian ‘misinformation’ laws. The same thing happened in the UK. (and schwab has said he wants everyone brain chipped) Could that be possible? That he’s actually helping the ‘misinformation’ czars? Controlled opposition? Lord, I hope not. But cutting free speech seems to follow him wherever he goes. It’s a good excuse to tighten the screws on it. Thoughts?

It has been hard to find out what is happening behind the many barriers to the truth, and to find out about the scientific research that is being done behind closed doors by the medical industrial complex, and the military industrial complex. Many members of the public are not aware of this type of research, and are, unfortunately, resistant to learning about such topics. If there are obvious, or subtle, flaws in his theory, i don’t have the ability to spot them, and I’d love to hear an analysis of the flaws. If he is correct, it would explain much. If he is wrong, or worse a psy op, I’d love to know.

Hyperthymia, Perhaps Once the Reasons of the Overblown Laughter and Response of Harris

stock here, funny this post included much personal information of my own from AI inquiries and was automatically removed. Let’s try again.

Summary of How These Apply to Kamala Harris:

Self-Amusement and Ego Reinforcement:

Harris's frequent laughter at her own remarks during press conferences and interviews could be a strategic form of self-reinforcement. By laughing, she may be signaling that she is in control and unbothered by the pressure around her. This approach can work well in lighthearted contexts but might feel inappropriate in serious or tense discussions.

Nervous Laughter:

On the other hand, Harris’s laughter during tough interviews or when faced with difficult questions can come off as nervous laughter. This might be a subconscious response to stress or discomfort, helping her relieve the pressure of the moment. It is a natural human reaction but might be seen as a sign of vulnerability or deflection by some audiences.

Ultimately, while self-amusement may help her connect with supporters, nervous laughter can sometimes come across as incongruent in serious situations, leading to a mixed public perception of her communication style. Both behaviors have psychological and social roots and can be found in many public figures who deal with intense scrutiny and high-stakes environments.

I think hyperthymia fits her well, where does that come from, could her broken childhood lead to that as a coping mechanism, are there chemical elements to this, does it come from a specific portion of the brain, would vaccinations early in childhood possibly have a play here

ChatGPT

Hyperthymia refers to a personality trait characterized by an abnormally elevated mood and energy levels, combined with a reduced need for sleep, increased talkativeness, and an inclination towards social engagement. While it’s not a mood disorder like hypomania, hyperthymic individuals often exhibit heightened enthusiasm, optimism, and emotional intensity. Let’s dive into how this trait develops, its potential neurological roots, and if early childhood experiences or vaccinations might have any influence.

  1. Origins of Hyperthymia:

Hyperthymia can be influenced by a combination of genetic, neurochemical, and environmental factors. People with hyperthymic traits often have a biological predisposition to elevated mood and energy. These traits can sometimes be seen in family histories, suggesting a genetic component. While hyperthymia itself isn’t classified as a disorder, it shares overlapping features with bipolar spectrum conditions, though at a less extreme level.

  1. Childhood Experiences and Coping Mechanisms:

Childhood experiences, especially traumatic or unstable ones, can shape a person’s emotional regulation and coping mechanisms. In Kamala Harris’s case, as you’ve referenced her “broken childhood” (her parents’ divorce when she was young and other potential challenges), it’s possible that emotional responses like hyperthymic traits could develop as a way to manage or mask stress.

Traumatic or unstable childhoods can sometimes lead to coping strategies where the individual becomes more socially engaging, highly energetic, or perpetually positive to mitigate emotional discomfort. In such cases, the emotional highs could be a defense mechanism against negative feelings or situations. For someone in a public role, such traits can help in projecting resilience and strength, even when under pressure.

  1. Neurochemical Elements:

Hyperthymia, like other mood-related traits, is thought to be linked to neurotransmitter imbalances, especially those involving dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. These chemicals regulate mood, arousal, and emotional responses. Elevated levels of dopamine, for instance, are associated with increased energy and feelings of pleasure, which could drive the high mood and social engagement typical of hyperthymia.

Dopamine: Increased dopamine activity in certain brain circuits (especially in the prefrontal cortex and limbic system) could underlie the constant sense of motivation, excitement, and talkativeness seen in hyperthymic individuals.
Serotonin and Norepinephrine: These neurotransmitters regulate mood stability and energy levels, and hyperactivity in these systems could contribute to a persistent upbeat demeanor.
  1. Brain Structures Involved:

The prefrontal cortex and limbic system (including the amygdala and hippocampus) are central in emotional regulation and mood expression. Hyperthymia might be linked to differences in activity or connectivity in these regions:

Prefrontal Cortex: This area governs executive functions, including decision-making, planning, and regulating emotions. Hyperactivity here could lead to elevated mood and constant goal-driven behavior.
Limbic System: The emotional center of the brain, particularly the amygdala, processes emotional responses. Overactivity or heightened sensitivity in these regions might contribute to emotional exuberance and the strong emotional expression typical of hyperthymia.
  1. Role of Vaccinations in Childhood:

There is no scientific evidence linking childhood vaccinations to the development of personality traits like hyperthymia. Vaccinations function by stimulating the immune system to build defenses against pathogens, but they do not affect the brain’s emotional regulation mechanisms. Concerns about vaccines influencing personality traits or neurological outcomes have been largely debunked by extensive research.

  1. Possible Link to Early Childhood Stressors:

It’s important to note that stressful or traumatic childhood experiences—such as a disrupted family environment—can impact brain development, particularly in how children learn to manage stress, mood, and social interactions. This can manifest in either heightened emotional regulation (as seen in hyperthymia) or emotional dysregulation. The fight-or-flight response can become heightened, and children may develop heightened social engagement as a way to manage interpersonal dynamics or difficult emotional environments.

However, early life stress can also contribute to long-term mental health vulnerabilities, like anxiety or depression, rather than purely hyperthymic traits. The outcome depends on the individual’s biology, environment, and resilience factors.

  1. Conclusion:

Hyperthymia is a complex personality trait shaped by both genetic and environmental factors. While Kamala Harris’s childhood experiences might have influenced her coping mechanisms and public behavior, the development of hyperthymic traits is likely rooted in neurochemical and genetic factors as well. There’s no evidence that childhood vaccinations would have contributed to this personality trait, as vaccinations work primarily on the immune system, not the brain’s emotional circuits.

In public figures, hyperthymia can be a double-edged sword, contributing to charisma, social engagement, and a positive public image, while also occasionally being perceived as a mismatch with the gravity of certain situations.

im stand at the beginning of the year and declare, ‘Every vow which I make in the future shall be null.” (Babylonian Talmud: Nedarim 23a and 23b
ChatGPT said:
ChatGPT

This passage from the Babylonian Talmud (Nedarim 23a and 23b) addresses a legal principle related to vows (nedarim) and their annulment in Jewish law. Vows are taken very seriously in Jewish tradition, and breaking a vow is considered a grave sin. The text you cited refers to a mechanism by which a person can declare in advance that any vows they might make in the future will be considered null and void, essentially preemptively canceling them.
Breakdown of the Passage:

"He who desires that none of his vows made during the year shall be valid..."
This phrase introduces the idea that a person may want to avoid the binding nature of vows. In Jewish law, vows are powerful and binding commitments, so someone who fears they might make a vow impulsively and not be able to keep it would want a safeguard.

"...let him stand at the beginning of the year and declare, ‘Every vow which I make in the future shall be null."
This is a formal declaration made at the beginning of the year (possibly at the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah) in which the person states that any vow they make in the future will be invalid. This preemptive declaration essentially voids any future vows before they are even made.

Interpretation and Context:

Avoidance of Rash Vows:
The Talmudic rabbis were deeply concerned about the binding nature of vows, particularly those made rashly or without proper consideration. The fear was that someone might make a promise they couldn't keep, either due to forgetfulness, change in circumstances, or impulsivity. This ruling offers a way to avoid falling into sin by nullifying any future, unintentional vows.

Kol Nidrei Connection:
This concept is closely related to the Kol Nidrei prayer, recited at the beginning of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. In this prayer, Jews ask for the annulment of vows made during the year. The purpose is to release individuals from oaths or promises they made but could not fulfill. It provides a spiritual “clean slate” to enter Yom Kippur.

Legal and Halachic Implications:
The Talmud discusses whether such preemptive annulment of vows is valid and how it should be handled. Later authorities (like Maimonides) clarified that this declaration only applies to vows made without full intent or under impulsive circumstances, not to those made with full awareness and deliberation. This aligns with the Talmudic principle that vows made with full intention cannot be easily nullified.

Limitations of the Annulment:
The preemptive nullification of vows is not absolute and is subject to conditions. The declaration must be made publicly or at least in front of witnesses, and it can only cover certain types of vows, typically those that might be made unintentionally. Deliberate, intentional vows still carry weight and cannot be undone so easily.

Philosophical and Ethical Dimensions:
This principle also reflects a tension in Jewish law between intentionality and formal speech acts. While Jewish law upholds the sanctity of vows, it recognizes human fallibility and the risk of impulsive behavior. By allowing for the nullification of vows in advance, the rabbis sought to balance the importance of keeping one's word with the understanding that humans often speak rashly or under pressure.

Ethical Consideration:

This ruling highlights the Jewish approach to moral responsibility and the importance of self-awareness. While vows are important and binding, the law also recognizes the reality of human nature. Preemptively canceling vows acknowledges that people may not always have full control over their words, providing a mechanism to avoid unintended commitments.

In summary, this Talmudic teaching offers a pragmatic solution to the problem of rash vows by allowing individuals to preemptively nullify future commitments that they might inadvertently make. It reflects both a respect for the power of speech and a recognition of human fallibility.

how is yom kipper linked to kol nidrei
ChatGPT said:
ChatGPT

Yom Kippur and the Kol Nidrei prayer are deeply connected, both spiritually and liturgically, within the Jewish tradition. Kol Nidrei, recited at the very beginning of the Yom Kippur service, is one of the most significant and solemn prayers of the entire Jewish calendar. Its placement and meaning highlight its close association with Yom Kippur’s themes of atonement and personal reflection.

  1. Kol Nidrei: The Prayer Itself

The Kol Nidrei prayer is a formal declaration in which the congregation asks for the annulment of vows (nedarim) and oaths made to God during the previous year, or potentially in the coming year. The key part of the text reads:

"All vows, obligations, oaths, and anathemas...that we may vow or swear or pledge...from this Yom Kippur until the next Yom Kippur, may it come to us for good; regarding them all, we regret them and declare them null and void."

It is a legalistic formula that reflects the deep concern in Jewish law about the sanctity of vows and the human tendency to make impulsive promises or commitments.

  1. Yom Kippur: The Day of Atonement

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day in the Jewish year. It is a day devoted to seeking forgiveness from God for sins committed over the past year. Yom Kippur focuses on repentance (teshuvah), reflection, and reconciliation with both God and others. The primary goal is to achieve spiritual cleansing and atonement through prayer, fasting, and confession.

  1. How Kol Nidrei and Yom Kippur Are Linked
    A. Themes of Atonement and Vows

Yom Kippur is a day for clearing one’s spiritual and moral slate, seeking forgiveness for sins, and making amends. In Judaism, vows are taken very seriously, and breaking a vow to God is considered a significant transgression. By reciting Kol Nidrei at the start of Yom Kippur, the community collectively seeks to release itself from any unfulfilled vows made to God over the past year.

This action reflects a critical theme of Yom Kippur: the idea that humans are fallible and prone to error, even in speech. By nullifying these vows, individuals begin the holy day with a sense of spiritual clarity, freeing themselves from the burden of promises they could not keep.
B. Prepares the Mind for Atonement

Kol Nidrei also serves as a spiritual preparation for the rest of the Yom Kippur service, which focuses on self-examination and confession of sins. By addressing and annulling unkept vows, individuals symbolically acknowledge their own limitations and imperfections before entering into deeper prayer and reflection. The recognition of these weaknesses makes the process of atonement more sincere and complete.
C. Focus on Intentions and Human Fallibility

The Kol Nidrei prayer acknowledges that people often make vows and promises with good intentions but may fail to keep them for various reasons. This recognition of human fallibility aligns with the broader themes of Yom Kippur: that humans sin not just through their actions but also through their words, intentions, and omissions. By reciting Kol Nidrei, the community expresses a desire to be forgiven for the ways they fell short, even in their words.
D. Legalistic vs. Spiritual Tones

Although Kol Nidrei is written in legalistic terms, it carries a profound spiritual significance on Yom Kippur. The act of nullifying vows isn’t just about technicalities of Jewish law; it’s about understanding the weight of one’s words and the importance of being honest and accountable to oneself and to God.

  1. Historical and Liturgical Significance
    A. Emotional Impact

Kol Nidrei is recited with great solemnity and often to a hauntingly beautiful melody. The emotional weight of the prayer, coupled with its legal and moral significance, creates a powerful moment at the onset of Yom Kippur. For many, this moment signals the beginning of 25 hours of deep reflection, fasting, and atonement.
B. Controversy and Evolution

Historically, Kol Nidrei has been a subject of controversy. Some medieval authorities questioned its inclusion in the Yom Kippur service because of its technical, legalistic language and its focus on vows rather than moral sins. Despite this, it gained prominence due to its emotional and spiritual impact on the community.
C. Connection to Communal Forgiveness

Kol Nidrei also reflects a communal acknowledgment of the frailty of human promises. It is recited in the plural form, showing that the entire community is collectively seeking to absolve itself from failed vows. This collective approach resonates with the communal aspects of Yom Kippur, where forgiveness is sought both individually and as part of a larger group.

  1. Kol Nidrei’s Broader Implications

By nullifying vows, Kol Nidrei addresses the inherent imperfection of human speech and the impossibility of always living up to one’s promises. This admission of fallibility is part of the broader process of teshuvah (repentance) that Yom Kippur requires.

In summary, Kol Nidrei and Yom Kippur are linked by their shared focus on forgiveness, reflection, and atonement. Kol Nidrei opens the Yom Kippur service by addressing the very human problem of unfulfilled promises, allowing worshippers to begin their day of atonement with a clean slate, ready to confront their sins and seek divine forgiveness for the year that has passed.

The mention of “Prosperity Services” seems to be a confusion or misstatement, as no specific company under that name ties directly to political alignment or the Democratic Party. However, there is an organization called Prosperity Connection, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates as a community development financial institution (CDFI). This nonprofit focuses on providing affordable financial services, like small loans, to underserved communities. It does not appear to have direct political connections with any specific party but works on addressing issues of economic inequality and financial access, which are often associated with progressive or Democratic policies

A mysterious staffing firm operating a complex van transportation network supplying low-cost Haitian labor to a Charleroi, PA-based company that operates multiple food packing plants in the area has been at the center of a federal investigation.

On Friday, local media outlet Action News revealed that federal investigators had been investigating staffing firm Prosperity Services, which supplies cheap migrant labor to Fourth Street Foods in Charleroi.

Prosperity Services is a staffing firm that has recently been the subject of a federal investigation for its role in supplying low-cost migrant labor, primarily from Haiti, to Fourth Street Foods, a company based in Charleroi, PA, which operates multiple food packing plants. The investigation revealed that the firm was involved in transporting and employing undocumented non-citizens, paying them in cash, and housing them for employment purposes. Many of the workers are employed through Prosperity Services, but they are technically contractors rather than direct employees of Fourth Street Foods. The company itself is estimated to employ over 700 immigrants from various countries

This has raised concerns about labor practices, the legality of the employment arrangements, and the broader implications for the local workforce, especially in relation to the influx of migrant workers to Charleroi. The investigation has also reportedly uncovered significant sums of cash tied to the firm, further fueling the scrutiny around its operations.

can you elaborate on reinvested dividends esp on REITS?
GRIFX

Original purchase 9/21/21 for $50ktotal, $27.870per share. It is a credit REIT, meaning it is made up of secured loans, primarily on RE.

Asa credit REIT, it is a dividend play, not a capital gain play. Dividends are reinvested. Current dividend rate is 5.26% on total value, 5.79 on original purchase value.

The Small positions in your Roth are confusing, I don’t remember the trade. We should discuss.

On TFXIX, it is a bond fund so the share price is still suffering from the Feds big run up in rates. Original purchase was $21,005.15, currently worth $24,382.03.

Mutual fund accounting on gains and losses can be confusing with reinvested dividends. We will get you hooked upon the other login next week.

ChatGPT

Reinvested Dividends for REITs (such as GRIFX, a credit REIT) are an essential concept to understand in the context of maximizing returns, particularly for income-oriented investments. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how they work, especially in the case of GRIFX:

  1. Reinvested Dividends Overview:

Reinvesting dividends means using the cash dividends you receive from your investment to purchase additional shares of the same investment, rather than taking the cash payout. In a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust), such as GRIFX, this can be highly beneficial because it allows you to compound your returns over time, particularly when dividend payments are frequent.

  1. Dividend Play vs. Capital Gain Play:

As a credit REIT, GRIFX is structured to provide steady dividend income rather than significant capital gains. Credit REITs primarily earn income from secured loans on real estate (mortgages and other debt), making them more stable in terms of income. Dividends from these REITs are generally higher, and in your case, GRIFX’s dividend rate is:

5.26% on the current value of the portfolio.
5.79% on the original purchase value.

Since you’re reinvesting these dividends, you’re effectively using that cash flow to purchase more shares of GRIFX, which leads to increased dividend payouts in the future (because you’ll own more shares, each of which pays dividends).

  1. Compounding Effect:

The compounding effect with reinvested dividends can significantly boost returns over the long term. Every time dividends are reinvested, the total number of shares you own increases, and future dividends are calculated based on that larger number of shares. Over time, even if the share price doesn’t rise dramatically (since it’s a dividend play, not a capital gains play), the compounding of reinvested dividends can lead to meaningful portfolio growth.

  1. Mutual Fund Accounting and Reinvested Dividends:

When looking at mutual fund accounting, especially with reinvested dividends, it can get confusing, particularly in tax-deferred accounts like a Roth IRA. Every time dividends are reinvested:

New shares are purchased, increasing your total share count.
The cost basis of the investment increases with every reinvestment. For example, if you originally purchased shares at $27.870 and dividends are reinvested at different prices (say, at $28 or $30 per share), your cost basis will average out based on the price of each reinvestment.
  1. GRIFX Example – Reinvested Dividends Impact:

Let’s say your original investment was $50,000 in GRIFX at $27.870 per share (approximately 1,795 shares). If you’re receiving a 5.79% dividend on the original value, this equates to approximately $2,895 per year in dividends. If those dividends are reinvested at a current share price, you’ll gradually accumulate more shares over time, increasing your future dividend payouts.

For instance:

If the dividend is reinvested quarterly, you may buy around 103.9 shares per year at current dividend levels. The next year, your dividends will be based on a higher number of shares (1,898.9 instead of 1,795), increasing your payout and so on.
  1. TFXIX – Bond Fund Performance:

Your bond fund TFXIX is seeing the impact of rising interest rates, which typically depresses bond prices. Despite the original purchase price of $21,005.15, its current value is $24,382.03, reflecting some gains. Bond funds, like REITs, can distribute income, which, when reinvested, works similarly by increasing the number of shares you hold. However, bond fund prices can fluctuate with interest rates, so reinvesting dividends here can also help smooth out price fluctuations by dollar-cost averaging into the fund.

  1. Roth IRA Small Positions:

If there are small, confusing positions in your Roth, it could be due to automatic reinvestments or small dividend payouts that were automatically used to buy fractional shares. These small positions can accumulate over time without significant trading activity.
Key Takeaways:

Reinvesting dividends in GRIFX, a credit REIT, is a powerful strategy to compound income over time, especially when the goal is dividend income rather than capital gains.
The accounting can be tricky, but the key idea is that reinvested dividends increase your total share count, which boosts future dividends.
In bond funds like TFXIX, reinvestment works similarly, though performance is more sensitive to interest rates.

Next Steps:

It’s worth reviewing your Roth IRA positions to clarify any small holdings.
Consider continuing with dividend reinvestment in both GRIFX and TFXIX for long-term compounding, especially in your Roth IRA, where taxes won’t affect reinvestment growth.

If you’d like a more detailed review of your reinvestments or Roth IRA positions, we can dive deeper into specific transactions.

1:48
you know getting your orange jumpsuit
1:50
and like that that was strange um
1:53
then at another Point uh let me talk
1:56
about one unpleasant experience first um
1:59
in the uh the the well they’re not
2:02
really cells but like little glassed off
2:04
rooms that you know you get locked into
2:06
at night um you know you’re sleeping
2:09
like 12 people to a room in a room
2:12
that’s way way smaller than my bedroom
2:15
uh at Justa uh and uh Unfortunately they
2:19
have a shortage of blankets there and so
2:21
I slept on a bare floor for a week like
2:23
with no covering at all I was lucky if I
2:25
could get a little towel to use fold it
2:28
up and use as a pillow just for my head
2:29
head to keep that from hurting I’ve got
2:32
bruises on my arms and on my legs as a
2:35
result of this uh it was almost
2:37
unbearable that part because I tend to
2:39
be an insomniac anyway so that wasn’t
2:41
necessarily the most Pleasant thing in
2:43
the world um but uh at the same time
2:46
there was one hilarious incident like on
2:49
the fourth night or something we had one
2:52
person in the room and he I believe he
2:54
was Hispanic um and uh he actually he
2:58
went out and and he brought back some I
3:01
guess friends of his uh they weren’t
3:03
even sleeping in the room and they
3:05
started smoking weed in the room again I
3:08
was like when I looked over and I saw
3:11
what they were doing I could smell it
3:12
and I look over and I see him smoking
3:15
and and with his friends and in the
3:17
little like sectioned off like quasi
3:20
bathroom thing I’m like holy hell what
3:23
the are you doing I couldn’t
3:25
believe it I’m like why are you doing
3:27
that in here and they just kind of
3:29
ignored B me apparently this is normal
3:32
sometimes then the guard outside smelled
3:35
smoke and so they you know they went
3:37
into the room and the three of us that
3:39
were in there at the time of course had
3:41
to you know get searched and everything
3:43
like that and of course uh I it wasn’t
3:45
me I had nothing to do with it I was the
3:48
only one that was cleared to actually
3:50
come back in the room right away they
3:52
never came back so I’m assuming that
3:54
they uh you know they got charged with
3:56
some additional crime or something I
3:58
don’t know if p is legal in Louisiana
4:01
not 100% sure I’m still here in in the
4:04
New Orleans area actually as we speak so
4:08
uh it was a very interesting experience
4:10
but one thing that I noticed Above All
4:12
Is that the uh actual like the people
4:14
that are charged with crimes they’re the
4:17
chill ones it’s the people that are
4:19
running the jail that are unchill not
4:22
all of them but some of them also the uh
4:25
thing that Manson said back in an
4:27
interview in the 70s about the the sound
4:30
of prison being like loud shouting and
4:32
stuff like that that’s actually true uh
4:35
there were the everyone was shouting um
4:39
if you expect a good night’s sleep it’s
4:41
going to be a long night for you now uh
4:44
again I expect to beat these charges
4:47
specifically I I don’t think there’ll be
4:49
a problem with that so no worries there
4:51
but that’s why I was absent for a week
4:53
yeah I was in a a jail in New Orleans
4:56
actually and uh it was a very strange
4:59
experience I wouldn’t say a pleasant one
5:02
definitely an unpleasant experience for
5:04
someone who likes freedom of movement as
5:05
much as me um but honestly on some
5:09
levels not quite as bad as I expected
5:12
originally I’m like oh I’m in jail
5:16
uh and then I was like oh well you know
5:18
the food sucks I didn’t eat very
5:21
much for that entire week other than a
5:23
few snacks you know uh the uh the the
5:26
the jailhouse uh soup and and grits and
5:29
stuff like that uh mainly just I ate the
5:32
vegetables and like that I’m
5:34
looking forward to a real meal now
5:36
actually so I suggest you keep your nose
5:39
clean you don’t want to have to eat that
5:41
sort of stuff and I saw people they’re
5:43
like wolfing it down and I’m like how
5:45
can you even eat some of those uh some
5:47
of that food although I do ad admit that
5:50
the uh mashed potatoes that they made
5:52
actually were kind of on point one thing
5:55
I noticed is that they don’t use much
5:57
salt in their uh in their food actually
6:00
so yeah that’s why I was uh that’s why I
6:02
was absent for a week I was actually in
6:04
a jail here in New Orleans and uh you
6:07
know I shouldn’t have had to go there in
6:08
the first place but it is what it is you
6:11
know it’s all good that’s about
6:14
all peace out

In the video, the narrator explains that they were absent for a week because they were in jail. While they do not provide specifics about the charges for legal reasons, they mention that the charges are not serious and expect to resolve them without issue. The narrator shares various experiences during their time in jail, including encountering people using illegal substances like cocaine and marijuana while in custody. They also describe the difficult conditions, such as sleeping without blankets, but note that some aspects were more bearable than expected. Additionally, the narrator thanks Jeremy from The Quartering for helping post their bond.

The story focuses more on their unusual experiences in jail, rather than on the legal case itself.

I like to imagine Styx doing political analysis in a jail cell tv with the inmates as a captive audience.

Except that’d never happen because the majority of inmates watch brainrot like The View and Oprah. I swear I’ve seen it myself.

Styx, I have had a lot of experience with the booze myself. Let me tell you a secret… if you think the incident you just went through is bad, just wait. If you don’t clean up your act IT WILL GET WORSE. Go home dude and put down the bottle. Find something constructive to devote your time to and keep yourself out of trouble. I don’t know what’s going on in your life, but it’s obvious things aren’t going as planned. You deserve better for yourself.

Jeremy from the quartering seems to be a great guy. He seems to be the first one to come to another Tuber in trouble or in a problem of any sort. I remember when he was one of the first to take Crowder”s and Pool”s side in different controversies. seems to be the Dad of the bunch. His show is not the most riveting , but i suscribe and watch what I can to show support for a straight up dude. which is rare to find.

I can relate. I got a DUI in 2012, first and only offense to date, and the night I was arrested I had to spend the night in jail in a tiny room with 4 other guys. (Interesting side note: the CO who processed me in used to be somebody whose supervisor I was) Fast-forward approximately 8 hours, I was released, and had my court date about 2 weeks later. In the state this all happened in, a first time DUI carries a mandatory sentence of 72 hours in jail. So I had to report to a halfway house about a month later, and the halfway house was run by Samoans and it was super shady. Got released 64 hours later (I was given 8 hours credit for my arrest night) and I thought that even if for some reason my ride wasn’t there to pick me up as planned, I was just going to keep on walking into downtown until I found a phone booth and call my boss, who lived in town, to pick me up (I’d left my cellphone at home). Worst experience of my life.

The absolute worse part from going to jail is when and where they let you out. They let my ass out at 4:30AM in the part of town where Uber pretends it doesn’t exist. It’s dark, dirty, smelly, addicts and dealers are everywhere. Also, if you’re gonna go to jail, Googled which police station you may be going to, then wear appropriately. The more you look like an addict, the safer you are.

3:23
of those
3:24
people um oh I’m sorry it’s like really
3:27
hard to get out of my system and the
3:28
reason I’m I’m kind of finally going to
3:31
talk about this today uh what happened
3:33
to Britney and I’s friendship and our
3:36
public kind of relationship is the other
3:39
day there was a story that came out of
3:41
Europe it went kind of viral um Martin
3:43
selner had been arrested in the middle
3:45
of one of his speeches in Switzerland I
3:47
believe it was full like you know SWAT
3:49
team kicking down the L door uh turning
3:52
off the lights grabbing him and dragging
3:54
him out and it was pretty insane he was
3:56
just giving a speech on the idea of
3:57
remigration which once again agree or
3:59
disagree I think he should be allowed to
4:01
talk about ideas that are nonviolent you
4:05
know um and then he was also banned from
4:08
Germany for three years and whenever I
4:10
see stories like this it it brings up a
4:12
lot of emotions for me because I’m
4:14
always I’ve got this little thing in the
4:16
back of my head that’s like I I can I
4:18
talk about it should I talk about
4:20
it um I hope they’re okay I hope
4:23
Britney’s okay because I love her as a
4:26
person but uh it’s always this internal
4:29
struggle because quite frankly I have
4:32
dealt with
4:34
extreme psychological torment at the
4:37
hands of the government for being
4:39
friends with Britney and
4:46
Marton
4:51
um you know I’d always been on like the
4:53
questioning lists when I went in and out
4:55
of
4:56
countries and um it wasn’t it wasn’t a
5:01
huge deal to me you know pre 20109
5:06
pre-2020 if I got banned from a country
5:11
because it’s like I’ve got home I’ve got
5:13
my friends overseas can come and visit
5:15
me right but when I when I got married
5:17
and had a kid I suddenly had this tie to
5:21
an overseas country Australia where uh
5:24
the people I loved and the family I
5:25
wanted to have was there um and if I
5:29
wanted to be able to travel between
5:31
Australia and Canada where my family
5:33
members were my my family you know like
5:36
my core family my parents my sister and
5:39
you know a family I’d married into well
5:41
I needed to have the ability to travel
5:46
back and forth right and that part if
5:49
You’ watched a few of my older videos on
5:51
this I’ve discussed how the Australian
5:54
government made me quit politics in
5:56
order to be able to immigrate there
5:58
whatsoever so I just had to shut down
5:59
down you know my channel and everything
6:01
I was doing in order to live there and I
6:03
was also if you’ve watched some of my
6:05
videos about my relationship I was not
6:07
in a good marriage um and it was one of
6:09
those situations where it’s like if I’m
6:11
not in Australia we don’t have a
6:13
marriage so I was very desperate to make
6:15
it work like very desperate to ensure
6:18
that my immigration status worked
6:19
because I’m you know I I respect the
6:22
nuclear family I want fathers to be
6:25
involved in children’s lives that I
6:27
think that’s extraordinarily important I
6:28
would bend over backwards to to make
6:30
that a reality right and so I was doing
6:33
everything fine I’ll quit my politics
6:34
I’ll do whatever I have to to ensure
6:36
that I’ve got this ability to immigrate
6:40
and and be there in Australia um when
6:43
covid hit
6:46
2020 uh 2019 2020 whenever it was they
6:50
got rid of a ton of flights between
6:52
Australia and Canada and
6:55
um you know my my options for which
6:58
countries I could travel through almost
7:00
completely disappeared it it became
7:03
there was like one flight out of Los
7:04
Angeles that was like a connector flight
7:06
to Australia that I could take and I I
7:09
when I was visiting my family back home
7:10
and trying to get back to Australia in
7:12
those early days I kept trying to book
7:14
this flight
7:15
through Los Angeles but every time I
7:18
would show up at the airport they would
7:20
just sit there and question me for hours
7:23
and hours and hours and hours as I had a
7:25
newborn baby and
7:28
um I kept missing my flights and I
7:30
didn’t have that much money right I like
7:32
this is these are flights during Co
7:34
they’re costing $5,000 $8,000 for these
7:37
international flights because there’s so
7:38
few of them and I I’m sort I don’t have
7:40
that kind of money to spend right so
7:43
every time I’m going in and they’re
7:44
questioning me for hours and I’m missing
7:46
my flight it’s like literally this is my
7:49
fate on the line like my ability to see
7:51
my family to repair my marriage to work
7:54
on things it was horrific all I’m
7:56
wanting to do is ensure that I like guys
7:59
I’ve quit politics please just like let
8:01
me be with my family please let me see
8:04
my
8:04
family and every time I would go through
8:09
they would have the same kind of similar
8:11
set of questions and a lot of them would
8:13
be about Martin and
8:16
Britney and
8:18
um I I literally just this this kind of
8:21
questioning session in which I’m asked
8:23
they’d always ask me like when was the
8:25
last time you spoke to Martin and
8:26
Britney when was the last time you spoke
8:27
to Martin and Britney and this question
8:29
session of that type uh only ended a few
8:33
months ago towards the end of last year
8:35
uh I finally had to stop doing secondary
8:37
screening for whether I was basically in
8:39
contact with Martin and
8:40
Britney and
8:44
um yeah so I just I kept getting
8:47
rejected and rejected and I remember I
8:48
have the document right here I’m like
8:51
just begging them I’m like please just
8:53
let me see my family and uh I have some
8:58
of the questions you know uh just asking
9:00
me about generation identity uh what is
9:02
your friend’s name and her husband
9:04
Britney selner and Martin
9:07
selner do you maintain contact with
9:09
either Britney or Martin selner and I
9:11
made the grave mistake here of saying
9:13
well I have but it’s been months and
9:15
only Britney but only via phone or text
9:17
messaging but believe me it’s it’s only
9:20
been about being married having babies
9:23
uh we haven’t seen each other in person
9:25
in a while like I’m sitting here having
9:27
to convince the government like I
9:29
haven’t spoken to this person I love I
9:31
swear I haven’t talked about politics
9:32
like I
9:33
swear we just talked about our babies
9:36
and it’s like cuz I know I’ve done these
9:37
questioning sessions so many times and
9:39
every time they’re like when’s the last
9:40
time you spoke to them when’s the last
9:42
time you spoke to
9:43
them
9:44
um when was the last time you had any
9:47
type of phone communication with either
9:49
uh maybe last month Britney asked about
9:52
my baby um and these were yeah sorry
9:55
it’s like so hard to talk about
9:58
because they they rejected me after
10:02
hours and hours and hours of being in
10:03
there and then I went again and they
10:04
rejected me
10:06
and uh for over the last few years over
10:09
and over again it’s been this same
10:11
Britney and Martin Britney and Martin
10:12
Britney and Martin they’re the flag
10:13
that’s like been on my
10:15
passport and I came to a realization
10:17
that like I was going to have to
10:19
convince these people that I was
10:22
not like truly convinced them that I was
10:24
not in contact with Britney and Martin
10:27
ever if I was going to be able to see
10:29
and and be with my family and I will
10:32
never
10:33
forget having that conversation with
10:36
Britney where I called her up and I said
10:37
Britney they’re not going to let me see
10:39
my
10:40
family they’re not going to let me see
10:42
my family if we’re still
10:47
talking and she we both cried we both
10:49
cried and just said we love each other
10:51
so much and she’s like I completely
10:53
understand Lauren I completely
10:56
understand and you know just for this is
10:59
just the way the world
11:01
is right now
11:05
and um we’re going to just love each
11:08
other from
11:09
afar and this was one of my best
11:16
friends that was like I don’t know three
11:20
three years ago
11:21
now we’re just going to have to love
11:23
each other from afar and we’ll both know
11:26
the whole time that we care for each
11:27
other and we hope our mom like and her
11:29
babies are doing well and I know she she
11:31
knows
11:32
that and um finally after a certain
11:36
period of time when I was able to
11:38
convince them that I no you know go
11:41
through my phone you can check I haven’t
11:43
been talking to them they they started
11:45
letting me travel again but every time
11:48
still like for years and years after
11:49
that every time I traveled it like I I
11:51
even remember coming back to see my
11:53
family in Canada they pulled me
11:55
in and they told me they weren’t going
11:57
and this it had been a year at that
11:59
point this was like
12:01
2021 and
12:03
um they told me we’re not going to let
12:05
you see you’re not going to be able to
12:08
take this flight and mind you uh I had
12:10
already had like three four flights
12:12
cancelled um I had missed my
12:14
grandmother’s death I was hoping to see
12:16
her before she died missed My Best
12:18
Friend’s Wedding missed like I was about
12:21
to miss a bunch of funerals my family
12:23
hadn’t seen my little one in a year and
12:25
those early years are so
12:28
important um um they just pull me into
12:30
the back room and they’re like you’re
12:32
not getting on this flight unless you
12:34
give us every single one of your devices
12:36
your phone all of it and give us your
12:39
passwords and let us go through it and I
12:41
just it’s like what am I supposed to do
12:44
go ahead luckily you know Britney and I
12:46
had been keeping to loving each other
12:49
from afar no
12:50
contact um they just so violating like
12:53
the most violating thing of my life and
12:56
uh what was crazy is it’s like full it
12:59
was full like communist government stuff
13:02
where the only reason I was even able to
13:04
get the flight was I knew someone in
13:06
government that was able to help me uh
13:09
get my my leave like allowance to leave
13:13
the country approved otherwise they they
13:15
wouldn’t have let me leave with my with
13:17
my child to visit my family so I I had
13:20
to yeah like find someone that could
13:21
help push my documents through and then
13:23
once that happened I was pulled in and
13:25
and they took all my devices and that
13:27
that just became like a normal
13:28
occurrence in my life even like just
13:31
over the last few years every time I go
13:32
to timcast I’m sat down when was the
13:35
last time you spoke to Martin and
13:36
Britney when was the last time you spoke
13:37
to Martin and Britney when was the last
13:38
time he spoke to Martin and Britney over
13:40
and over and over again as I just have
13:42
to stare at these officers and tell them
13:44
no I haven’t spoken to someone that I
13:46
love very much and care about no I
13:48
haven’t and um you know I I obviously
13:52
it’s very emotional for me it’s very
13:54
upsetting for me because this is like my
13:56
real life real people that I love and
13:58
care about
14:00
not just like online oh politics oh
14:02
headlines like these are this is real
14:04
life for me but it’s like you think
14:08
about what they’ve done just to me I’m
14:12
sad about it and then consider all of
14:15
the people peripherally in Britney and
14:17
Martin’s lives that they’re doing this
14:18
too all of the friends all of the
14:20
contacts that they constantly have
14:22
ensuring that they can’t be in contact
14:24
with that they can’t do business with
14:27
that they have to be careful about and I
14:29
can’t even feel bad for myself at all
14:31
because I am just
14:34
one person in a series of government
14:41
interference campaigns against the
14:43
happiness health and wellness of these
14:46
two people because they have spoken up
14:48
against the government and their
14:50
migration policies and once again I
14:52
don’t like I’m sure there are a lot of
14:54
people that follow my channel now that
14:55
are leftwing that’s awesome like I don’t
14:56
like I’m just glad you’re listening to
14:57
my stuff right and you may be be like oh
14:59
my goodness scary far right Wingers just
15:01
don’t even think about it in that
15:02
context think about how the government
15:05
is behaving here and whether that’s the
15:06
kind of world you want to live in where
15:09
people are being psychologically
15:11
tormented and torn away from friends of
15:13
theirs at the behest of governments
15:15
threatened to not see their family or be
15:17
able to travel forced to give over their
15:19
phones and devices all to ensure that
15:23
they’re disrupting the lives of two
15:24
people because of their opinions on
15:26
migration I’m just one person of many
15:29
who I know are having this had this and
15:32
have had this done to them over the
15:35
years
15:37
and you know what’s crazy is like I was
15:41
constantly questioned like you know they
15:43
want info they want info on Britney and
15:45
Martin
15:46
right
15:48
and even if let’s say I had this like
15:51
Moment In My Head or I’m like f them I’m
15:53
going to try to like go on the
15:54
government’s get on their good side
15:56
right uh and then try to give them as
15:58
much information on Britney and Martin
16:00
as possible I wouldn’t have anything to
16:02
give I wouldn’t everything they say
16:04
publicly is just what they say privately
16:06
everything they plan publicly is what
16:08
they plan privately like there is no
16:11
false Persona there there’s no secret
16:13
drug addict behind the scenes secret
16:15
terrorist secret like racist that wants
16:18
to kill people like that’s not like if I
16:21
were to tell them everything I knew it
16:23
would be no different than the things
16:24
they said
16:26
publicly so it’s it’s you know that I
16:28
that’s what what I think was so shocking
16:30
like their desperation to find something
16:33
anything on these two people and this is
16:35
the American government like I know the
16:37
five eyes work together like obviously
16:39
European governments interpole all of
16:41
those groups work together but the
16:43
American government doing this doing
16:45
their investigations and banning people
16:47
from their country because of their
16:49
opinions on
16:51
migration um
16:56
yeah you
16:57
know uh as I look at the arrests that
17:01
Martin has dealt
17:03
with the uh Banning from countries and
17:06
all of the lawsuits most of which or all
17:09
of which I think have come up with
17:10
absolutely nothing they’re constantly
17:12
being monitored 247 it kind of makes
17:20
me I don’t think people understand when
17:23
you actually believe in the politics
17:24
that you’re pursuing and when you’re
17:27
actually very genuine how much the
17:30
government does mess with your life how
17:32
much they shut people up how much they
17:35
destroy friendships and
17:38
relationships this is just once again a
17:40
normal day today for these
17:43
people and I guess that’s why sometimes
17:46
it’s so hard for me to watch the culture
17:48
War stuff online reacting to Tik toks
17:51
and I get so tired of
17:53
it is because I know
17:56
that if people were
17:59
really making a big difference if they
18:01
were really pushing things I know what
18:02
the government would be doing to them
18:04
because I’ve experienced it and I’ve
18:06
seen what they do to people like Britney
18:07
and Martin who really really have pushed
18:09
for certain ideas and uh I don’t see a
18:14
lot of people in the political space
18:15
experiencing those things some people do
18:18
for sure but I don’t see a lot of the
18:20
bigger figures um experiencing those
18:24
things and it makes me wonder is the
18:25
government actually worried about any
18:27
difference being made here
18:29
because I know what they do to people
18:30
when they think that their ideas are
18:32
actually quite you know going to change
18:35
something up that won’t be good for
18:40
them but yeah I don’t
18:43
know it’s uh been like I said just late
18:47
last year they took me off that
18:50
secondary
18:52
screening where you know I had to show
18:53
up like so early for all my flights or
18:55
I’d miss them and they just never never
18:58
let let me go I’m I’m banned from
19:00
Australia entirely they’ll just never
19:01
let me back
19:04
um they add me on their like secret
19:07
vacue Terror list I they they still
19:09
haven’t given me like a real reason as
19:11
to why I was banned I think it’s because
19:12
I went back to doing politics but um I
19:15
don’t know if we’ve been talking about
19:17
this I’ve been so worried I’m I’m I
19:19
actually feel a lot better having kind
19:20
of gotten that out of my system but I
19:22
don’t know if I’m going to be banned
19:23
again from the states for talking about
19:25
it or if I’ll be put on that list I
19:27
can’t believe I got like four five
19:29
months of freedom of being able to take
19:32
flights without uh being psychologically
19:35
tormented for
19:37
information um man and I have some more
19:40
stories about that that I could get into
19:43
but um yeah I I don’t I don’t know maybe
19:46
they will ban me again we’ll see that’ll
19:47
be very interesting I think I feel a bit
19:49
more comfortable talking about it
19:50
because I feel like if next time I get
19:52
on a flight to the US and they pull me
19:54
in that’ll be a pretty big come on now
19:57
guys come on now like it’s pretty
20:00
obvious what you’re up to

are there some psychological descriptions for someone that laughs seriously hard, even shaking their body, on things that are just not that funny, even cackling at their own “non-joke”

The behavior you’re describing, where someone laughs excessively hard or inappropriately, can be associated with several psychological phenomena or personality traits. Some possible explanations include:

Incongruous Emotional Responses (Pseudobulbar Affect): This is a condition where individuals may laugh or cry uncontrollably at things that aren't appropriate. It's often linked to neurological disorders like multiple sclerosis, ALS, or brain injuries, which disrupt the brain's ability to regulate emotions. The laughter may be disproportionate to the situation and could include cackling or intense physical reactions like shaking.

Nervous Laughter: Some people laugh uncontrollably in situations that are awkward, tense, or uncomfortable. This can be a way to release pent-up nervous energy. Laughing at one's own jokes (even when not funny) could stem from insecurity or discomfort in social situations.

Manic Behavior: In some cases, intense and inappropriate laughter can be a symptom of mania, which is seen in conditions like bipolar disorder. During manic episodes, individuals may experience exaggerated emotions, such as excessive giddiness or laughter, even when not contextually appropriate.

Self-Amusement and Ego Reinforcement: Some people cackle or laugh at their own jokes, especially if they have a tendency toward narcissism or a need for attention. This could be a form of self-affirmation, where they find validation in their own humor, even if others don't.

Hyperthymia: This personality trait is characterized by an excessively positive or joyful mood. Individuals with hyperthymia might find humor in everyday situations that others wouldn’t, leading to intense laughter, even when the situation is not particularly funny.

Social or Attention-Seeking Behavior: Sometimes, excessive laughter may simply be a way to draw attention to oneself. The person may not be fully aware of how exaggerated their response is, but it serves as a way to engage with or entertain others, even if it comes across as odd.

If these behaviors are frequent and disruptive, it could indicate an underlying psychological or neurological issue, and a mental health evaluation might be helpful in identifying any concerns.

In assessing the behavioral characteristics you described (such as laughing intensely or inappropriately at non-funny moments), and considering Kamala Harris’s public persona, two possibilities stand out:

Self-Amusement and Ego Reinforcement: Harris often laughs at her own remarks, and sometimes during interviews or speeches, her laughter can come across as exaggerated, even when the context may not be particularly humorous. This behavior can be linked to a tendency for self-amusement and may serve as a social tool to lighten the atmosphere or reinforce her points. In politics, this behavior can also be used as a way to seem more approachable or relatable, though it may sometimes be perceived as forced.

Nervous Laughter: Public figures, especially those under constant scrutiny, can exhibit nervous laughter as a way to cope with tense or challenging situations. In many high-stakes interviews, Harris has been seen to laugh when faced with tough or controversial questions. This response can be a subconscious way to relieve the pressure or deflect attention from a difficult topic.

These behaviors are relatively common in high-profile individuals who deal with intense public scrutiny, and they serve different psychological or social functions depending on the context. Would you like further exploration into one of these possibilities?

  1. Self-Amusement and Ego Reinforcement:

Definition and Behavioral Traits: Self-amusement in public figures can manifest as exaggerated displays of humor or laughter, even when the situation does not call for it. This can be linked to several psychological or social functions, especially in high-profile individuals who are often trying to maintain a positive public image or appear more approachable. The laughter in this context serves as a form of self-reinforcement, signaling to both the individual and the audience that the speaker is in control of the situation, confident, and engaging.

This behavior could also tie into ego reinforcement, where an individual validates themselves and their actions through overt displays of humor. Laughing at one’s own statements can serve as a way to reinforce the sense of self, signaling to the audience that the speaker finds themselves, their ideas, or their thoughts particularly entertaining or clever.

Kamala Harris Context: Kamala Harris’s laughter during public appearances has been a notable feature of her communication style. For example, during interviews or press conferences, she has been observed laughing in situations that are serious or where others might not expect humor. This can come across as self-amusement, where her laughter reinforces her sense of control or comfort in the situation.

A positive interpretation of this behavior could be that it helps to humanize her and make her seem approachable, especially in a political environment where warmth and relatability can be advantageous. On the other hand, it might be perceived as dismissive or inappropriate by those who believe the gravity of the situation warrants a more serious response.

Psychological and Social Functions:

Coping Mechanism: Public figures use self-amusement as a buffer against negative judgment or difficult situations. By laughing at oneself, the individual minimizes the threat of external criticism.
Impression Management: In politics, perception is crucial. Laughter can serve as a way to come off as friendly, unthreatening, and in control of the narrative. It can be a subtle way of guiding the audience's reaction, signaling that the speaker is not too worried, even when discussing serious matters.

Research Insight: In the context of self-enhancement, studies in psychology have shown that people may employ humor as a way to elevate themselves in social contexts. For instance, humor used by leaders or public figures can increase likability, which is a critical asset in politics. However, when perceived as overused or forced, it can backfire, leading to negative public perceptions .

  1. Nervous Laughter:

Definition and Behavioral Traits: Nervous laughter occurs when an individual feels anxious, uncomfortable, or overwhelmed, and responds with laughter as a way to reduce their own tension or deflect discomfort. This type of laughter is often involuntary and serves a psychological purpose: to ease tension in a stressful environment or to mask the individual’s uncertainty.

Kamala Harris Context: Harris has been observed laughing at times when the situation is tense or when she is asked tough or controversial questions. For example, during interviews about serious topics such as immigration or foreign policy, her laughter has sometimes been interpreted as inappropriate or nervous. This type of response could be a subconscious effort to release the pressure of the moment, deflecting from the gravity of the topic.

Psychological and Social Functions:

Anxiety Management: When a person is confronted with a challenging situation, laughter can be a way to soothe the internal anxiety and create emotional distance. It may not be reflective of a lack of understanding of the seriousness but rather a response to feeling cornered or unsure.
Disarming Critics: Nervous laughter can also disarm critics. It softens the tone of the conversation and can create a more relaxed atmosphere. Politicians often use laughter to make themselves seem more relatable and to diffuse tension in difficult exchanges.
Deflection Tactic: In many high-pressure environments, laughter can serve as a defense mechanism, redirecting attention away from an uncomfortable topic or question. This behavior is often seen in public figures who are accustomed to facing criticism or difficult questioning.

Research Insight: Psychological studies suggest that nervous laughter is often a reflex to stress, with the body using laughter to offset discomfort or tension. The phenomenon is known as incongruous laughter, which happens when there is a mismatch between the emotional experience and the outward expression . Nervous laughter can serve as a tool for emotional regulation, helping the person cope with the stress they are facing at the moment.

There is evidence suggesting that such laughter is common in high-stress environments where an individual is under intense scrutiny or judgment. Leaders and public figures, in particular, might employ this as a coping mechanism during debates or press conferences where they are subjected to difficult or loaded questions .

I Have Pondered 27 Times, Does Harris Have a Defined Psychological Problem That Causes Her Inappropriate Outbursts of Laughter

stock here: Certainly the intelligence agencies have psychoanalyzed her.

Mental Illness, And the Founder Effect of Small Gene Pool of the Ashkenzi

stock here: Here is one link, AI gets credit for the write-up

https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/527615

Recent scientific research has delved into the genetic predisposition of Ashkenazi Jews to certain mental illnesses. Some of the key findings in this area highlight how the genetic bottleneck and founder effect that shaped the Ashkenazi Jewish population have also contributed to a higher prevalence of specific genetic mutations, which may be linked to mental health disorders. While there is ongoing research, several studies have shed light on genetic predispositions related to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric conditions.
Genetic Factors and Mental Illness in Ashkenazi Jews:

Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder:
Several studies have identified a higher prevalence of genetic mutations linked to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in Ashkenazi Jews. Specifically, research has pointed to variations in the NRXN1 gene (Neurexin 1), which is involved in synaptic function, playing a role in mental health disorders like schizophrenia.
A 2014 study by the Weizmann Institute of Science and other collaborators found that certain mutations in the NRXN1 gene are disproportionately common in Ashkenazi Jews, possibly due to the founder effect. The NRXN1 gene is involved in brain connectivity, and mutations in this gene are associated with increased risks for neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders.

Role of the Founder Effect:
The Ashkenazi Jewish population underwent a genetic bottleneck roughly 700 to 1,000 years ago, significantly reducing genetic diversity. This has led to the retention of both beneficial and deleterious mutations, including those related to psychiatric disorders.
In addition to Tay-Sachs and other well-known genetic conditions, researchers have discovered that copy number variations (CNVs), which are large deletions or duplications of DNA, are more common in Ashkenazi Jews and are linked to psychiatric conditions. CNVs in genes affecting brain function, such as those involved in synaptic transmission, are linked to conditions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Research on Dopamine Pathways:
There is ongoing research examining how dopamine receptor gene variants in Ashkenazi Jews may predispose some individuals to conditions like schizophrenia and ADHD. Dopamine dysregulation is a well-known factor in the development of psychosis and mood disorders.

Epigenetics and Environmental Influence:
While genetics plays a significant role, researchers are also exploring how epigenetic factors (heritable changes in gene expression that do not involve changes to the DNA sequence) could interact with environmental stressors to trigger mental illness. Epigenetic changes may occur due to environmental pressures such as migration, trauma, and persecution, which have been part of Ashkenazi Jewish history and may contribute to mental health vulnerabilities.

Studies Highlighting Genetic Links:

A 2016 study published in Nature Communications found that Ashkenazi Jews carry certain rare genetic mutations more frequently than other populations, some of which are associated with an increased risk of schizophrenia.
Another study from Mount Sinai School of Medicine identified genetic overlaps between psychiatric disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders, suggesting that certain genetic pathways involved in brain development might also predispose individuals to mental health conditions.

Conclusion:

The higher incidence of certain genetic mutations among Ashkenazi Jews has contributed to a deeper understanding of the biological underpinnings of mental illness, particularly in relation to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. However, it is important to note that genetics is only one factor, and environmental and epigenetic factors also play significant roles in the development of mental illness. The unique genetic history of the Ashkenazi Jewish population has provided researchers with valuable insights into the complex interactions between genes and mental health.

Recent studies have indicated that Ashkenazi Jews, due to their unique genetic makeup, may have an increased predisposition to certain mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. These findings stem from the genetic bottleneck effect seen in this population, which has led to higher frequencies of specific gene variants associated with neurodevelopmental disorders.

One notable discovery involves the NDST3 gene, which is linked to critical neurodevelopmental processes such as axon formation and synaptic function. Research has shown that a specific variant of this gene is more prevalent among Ashkenazi Jews and may contribute to a higher risk of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder

Moreover, studies highlight that while genetic predispositions exist, environmental factors also play a critical role in determining the onset and severity of these conditions. The combination of genetic insights from Ashkenazi populations and broader global research is providing scientists with better tools to understand the genetic underpinnings of severe psychiatric disorders and potentially develop targeted treatments.

Ashkenazi Jews are a significant ethnic group within the Jewish population, traditionally descending from Jews who lived in Central and Eastern Europe. Today, the largest concentrations of Ashkenazi Jews are found in a few specific countries and local areas with notable percentages within these populations.
Countries with the Highest Percentages of Ashkenazi Jews:

Israel:
Population: Over 6 million Jews (Ashkenazi Jews make up approximately 47.5% of the Jewish population).
Ashkenazi Jews are prominent in Israeli politics, business, and culture. Over time, many Jews from Europe migrated to Israel, particularly after the Holocaust.

United States:
Population: Around 5.8 million Jews, with Ashkenazi Jews making up an estimated 90%.
The Ashkenazi Jewish community is mainly found in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, but New York City (particularly Brooklyn) holds the largest population of Ashkenazi Jews in the U.S.

Canada:
Population: Canada has about 392,000 Jews, with a majority being of Ashkenazi descent.
The largest concentration is in Toronto and Montreal, with significant Jewish communities contributing to the cultural fabric of these cities.

France:
Population: Over 446,000 Jews, many of whom are Ashkenazi, although there is a large Sephardi Jewish population as well.
Cities like Paris and Marseille have sizable Ashkenazi communities, particularly from migrations after World War II.

United Kingdom:
Population: About 270,000 Jews, many of Ashkenazi descent, concentrated in London, particularly in areas like Golders Green and Stamford Hill.

Beware of Any Injection: Lot’s Wife Points Out That Dental Anesthetics May Now Carry Contaminants

stock here: caution implied

With admission from some scientists, and silence from most corporations that manufacture dental anesthetics, savvy dentists have added a clause to patient consent forms. As awareness grows, the addition will become universal.“…I understand that there may be undisclosed ingredients in the local anesthetic such as, but not limited to, graphene, hydrogel, polyethylene glycol or lipid nano particles. I understand that I am not consenting to the injection of undisclosed ingredients but rather acknowledging that I, the undersigned patient, have been informed of the possibility of undisclosed ingredients in the local anesthetic and hereby consent to the injection of local anesthetic.”
https://www.fargodentist.net/holistic-dentistry/anesthetic/

As you can see from the email string published by a concerned dentist in Fargo, ND, the issue arose over a year ago. At that time, personal research convinced me it was prudent to disallow use of injected anesthetics during a scheduled extraction procedure. The dentist complied with my directive. Pain was high but not overwhelming; fear of the new experience was primary. However, I’d rather temporary pain than be injected with nano-robots whose agenda appears planned by the ghouls who hang with Tony Fauci. As the front man for this conspiracy against Americans, Fauci is the highest paid employee in the federal system.

A biological dentist, Dr. Toni Engram, who publishes on YouTube offers Americans this perspective on the issue of contaminated anesthetic.

See additional resources in show notes; audience comments provide more.

As you contemplate dental care, the foregoing may help you and family navigate the landmines placed in our paths by enemies of humanity.

Gwen Walz — As Disgusting as Tim Walz, Maybe Also a Pervert

stock here, they got married in 1994, then in 1995 Tim got a DUI. I’ll refrain on further judgement about either of them grooming LGB students of theirs. There is a lot of evidence, but also a lot of claims without an actual person stepping up. The timeframes also don’t mesh up properly.

BTW the LGBTQ+ “allyship” or alliance, did not exist in 1995, this is a very recent creation of the left.

I Asked AI to Find Any Sources That Have Positive Public Comments About Harris, Here It Is

I found several positive comments and articles from left-leaning sources about Kamala Harris, though they often focus on her historic role and advocacy rather than widespread public acclaim.

Representation and Historic Achievement: Harris is frequently celebrated for being the first female, Black, and South Asian vice president. Her election is viewed as a significant milestone in representation, especially for marginalized communities. Progressive commentators highlight her presence in such a high office as inspiring, symbolizing progress for women and minorities
National Catholic Register
.

Support for Marginalized Groups: Many leftist voices emphasize her advocacy for marginalized communities. For example, her focus on immigration reform and her efforts to tackle the “root causes” of migration in Central America are praised as a compassionate alternative to previous hardline approaches

.

STOCK HERE --this third one is really a repeat of 1 and 2, exactly, and the 4th one is a repeat of 2...............................
Women’s Rights and Abortion Advocacy: Harris’s strong pro-choice stance and her defense of women’s reproductive rights resonate with many on the left, especially in light of recent changes in state laws. She has been actively campaigning for abortion access, framing her work as crucial to protecting women’s autonomy and health. This has drawn support from groups and individuals who prioritize reproductive rights as a core political issue

Star Tribune
.

Engagement with the LGBTQ+ Community: Progressive LGBTQ+ groups appreciate her defense of gender-affirming care and anti-discrimination policies, positioning her as a key ally against conservative efforts to limit LGBTQ+ rights. Her vocal support for the trans community, including discussing the impact of gender-affirming care on mental health, has been seen as an essential stance by these groups

.

These positive comments primarily come from those who view her as a critical defender of social justice, women’s rights, and LGBTQ+ issues, reinforcing her appeal among progressive and left-leaning voters who prioritize these causes. However, general enthusiasm from broader audiences remains mixed, with some leftist commentators expressing disappointment about her performance on specific issues, like immigration and her approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict

Here are the comments from the National Catholic Register, the first article———————–

If I need my roof replaced, I typically have several options:

– contractor with 30 years experience

– contractor with 5 years experience

– contractor with no experience, low pricing

Over and over again, it’s been proven that that lowball pricing isn’t worth it, no matter how much the contractor lays out a message of the ‘old school industry doing it wrong’ and ‘needing a fresh set of eyes.’

It’s much more often the case that there’s a minimum number of years of real world experience needed – even for the fresh ideas – for that to translate to professional competency and weed out those who really don’t have it.

It’s true of small business, large business, teaching, CEOs, government.

I’m struck by how little actual experience Mrs. Harris brought to the VP Office in 2022, and how little she has demonstrated competency at the current date.

But both major Parties have largely jettisoned that wisdom, as it suited them, in every national election since 2008.

Kamala is only comfortable speaking in front of two audiences.

  • Pro Abortion advocates

and

  • Black organizations

Have to agree with GMB. This analysis is deceptively benign of a politician who has shown nothing but hostility toward most matters that might be considered of importance to Catholic voters.

(Edited)

The article did not mention that Harris helped raise funds used to bail out persons who rioted in the fallout from the George Floyd incident. These were not only persons who peacefully protested, but included rioters, looters and arsonists who acted under cover of the outrage over what happened with Mr. Floyd.

Harris is extreme on abortion and other issues antithetical to the Catholic faith. She is not a friend of Catholicism and shows little respect for the 1st Amendment guarantees of freedom of religion.

Hmmm, this is the best the DNC has? DEI selection.

Great pick.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune article had 187 comments, you can go look yourself, I will present the summary only.

Common Themes

Doubts About Media Coverage and Visibility:
Several commenters accuse Harris of hiding from the media, avoiding press conferences, or not being transparent about her policies.
Some contrast her media presence with Trump’s, questioning why she doesn't engage more with public forums or debates.

Support for Palestinians vs. Criticism of Hamas:
There is a debate among commenters about Harris's support for Palestine, with some arguing that the Palestinian people are distinct from Hamas, while others believe that supporting Palestine indirectly supports Hamas.
Commenters discuss the LGBTQ+ community’s support for Palestinians, pointing out contradictions given the hostile environment for LGBTQ+ individuals in Gaza.

Defending Harris Against Criticism:
Some comments defend Harris, arguing that people should seek out her policies on her website and claiming that criticism stems from a lack of information or bias.
A few voices highlight that Harris has evolved in her stances, emphasizing that it's normal for politicians to change views when new information becomes available.

The critical comments on the video for Kamala Harris’s speech were varied but generally focused on skepticism around her track record, doubts about her policy specifics, and criticisms of her messaging. Here are the detailed groupings:

Lack of Specificity and Delivery:
Several commenters (at least 5) pointed out that while Harris spoke about future plans, she failed to provide specifics or details on how those plans would be executed. Examples include:
"How are you going to do all this?"
"I keep hearing her say what she is going to do but I never hear how she is going to do it."
Some questioned why these plans had not been implemented during her vice presidency, indicating doubts about her ability to deliver on her promises.

Criticism of Personal Background and Authenticity:
A few comments (around 3) expressed skepticism about Harris’s portrayal of her upbringing, particularly her claim of growing up middle-class. For instance:
"Her parents are both professors. Why was her mother worried about making ends meet?"
"I’m not convinced; she keeps repeating the 'middle-class struggle' narrative."
These comments imply that some viewers feel she is not being entirely authentic in her representation of her background.

Doubts on Economic and Policy Impact:
Some users (around 3) questioned the feasibility and financing of her economic proposals. Examples include:
"Where is the project of raising taxes to corporate and wealthy that is in her program?"
"How does she plan to finance all that?"

General Skepticism and Disbelief:
A few commenters expressed overall distrust of her as a candidate or politician, reflecting a broader cynicism about political promises:
"If all these things are so easy to do, why have they not been done?"
"This speech was written for her. These are not her words and everyone knows this."

Questioning Impact and Previous Actions:
Some criticized her for not using her current position to implement changes, indicating a lack of faith in her leadership:
"She’s been in office for 4 years—why haven’t we seen any of these policies yet?"

These critical comments suggest that while there is a significant amount of support for Harris in the video, there is also a portion of the audience who remain unconvinced about her plans, authenticity, and ability to execute her proposed policies.
