stock here: h/t Flying Cuttlefish. I have been busy, I was aware of this, it was absurd on the first reports of 28 people dead. Now they are saying 159 dead. There were over 4000 people in those towers.
Like Lahaina, thousands are missing, and there is no list of those dead, so nothing can be corroborated. Lei does a good job of throwing out visual notes on her video, analyzing number and demographics. Within minutes, all 7 towers were engulfed. So that is obviously ARSON.
She covers a wide range of topics, many that were not even on my radar, have a visit.
She compares it to other widely known tower fires. Grundfeld, a single 24 story tower, had a 24% death rate. They are claiming 159 deaths out of 4000 or so. So say 6%. That does make no sense.
Hong Kong Hung Fu Court Fire â Lei Real Talk Episode Summary
Goldfish Sound-Bite Summary
In this episode, Lei revisits the November 26 Hong Kong fire at the Hung Fu Court estate, where seven 31âstory residential towers burned almost simultaneously. While authorities report 159 dead and 31 missing, she argues this is physically, statistically, and historically impossible. Using Hong Kong census data, she estimates about 2,600 people were inside the seven towers when the blaze erupted, and compares this event to other major highârise fires that typically show mortality rates around 25â30%, not the 6% implied by the official toll.
She notes the rapid spread of the fire, failed alarms, sealed windows, and leaked firefighter accounts of many bodies on each floor, plus thousands of missingâperson posts, extra aid supplies being discarded, and the lack of an official victim list. Lei concludes that the real death toll is likely in the fourâfigure range and that Chinese authorities are repeating a familiar pattern of minimizing casualties for political reasons, while some analysts even frame the disaster as part of a larger, superstitious âritualâ by the regime.
One-Page Summary
Leiâs livestream focuses on the massive residential fire at Hong Kongâs Hung Fu Court on November 26, where seven of eight 31âstory towers caught fire in a levelâfive disaster. Authorities claim 159 deaths and 31 people missing, but Lei argues that this figure is not simply suspicious, it is mathematically impossible.
Using the Hong Kong governmentâs 2021 census, she notes that Hung Fu Court housed about 4,643 residents, roughly 580 per tower. Seven towers burned, so about 4,060 residents lived in the affected buildings. Given the time of the fireâ2:51 p.m. on a Wednesdayâand the unusually high proportion of elderly residents, she estimates that about 58% of residents were home. After adding workers, caregivers, delivery people, and visitors, she calculates roughly 2,600 people were inside when the fire erupted.
She then looks at historic highârise fires: Londonâs Grenfell Tower (about 24% mortality), a 1995 Taipei highârise fire (31%), and a 2017 Brazilian apartment fire (33%). In extreme events, she says, mortality can range from 25â50%. Applying these rates to the estimated 2,600 people trapped in Hung Fu Court yields an expected death toll of 650â1,300 or more, not 159. Given Hung Fu Courtâs flammable external foam, scaffolding nets that acted as fuel, total failure of fire alarms in eight towers, sealed windows, and rapid âchimney effectâ spread, she argues the true number should be at the high end of that range.
Lei bolsters this argument with circumstantial evidence: photos showing extreme destruction, reports of Hong Kongâs official âcare teamâ discarding large amounts of donated supplies they claimed were ânot needed,â and the fact that only about 2,000 of an estimated 5,000 displaced residents used government shelters. She points to thousands of missingâperson posts online versus authoritiesâ much smaller official missing count, and notes that, unusually, the government has not released a public list of the deceasedâsomething that is standard in comparable disasters abroad.
Citing alleged firefighter leaks that there were five to ten bodies on many floors, Lei suggests real fatalities could reach 1,600â2,000. She frames this as part of a broader Chinese Communist Party pattern of underâreporting casualties in disasters, referencing the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and the 2021 Zhengzhou flood, where citizen investigations argued that real deaths far exceeded official numbers.
In the latter part of the stream, Lei discusses more speculative, metaphysical interpretations. A Chinese numerologist and fengâshui (âfunrayâ) masters describe the seven burning towers as âseven incense pillarsâ in a sacrificial ritual to prolong the regimeâs life. She notes parallels to a Hong Kong film depicting seven of eight buildings burning, and ancient prophecies about a âwhite birdâ marking the end of a dynasty. She then ties in the recent death of a famous white crested ibis named Pingping at Beijing Zoo, whose name, color, and symbolism Chinese netizens link to Xi Jinping and see as an ominous sign.
Lei closes by answering audience questions on Daoism and fengâshui, Hong Kongâs âsnakeâshapedâ urban layouts, Taiwanese defense politics, and CCP elite power struggles, while also briefly promoting her gift guide and eyeâcare patches. The core message of the episode is that the Hung Fu Court fire is almost certainly far more deadly than the official narrative admits and that both political calculation and deep superstition shape how Chinaâs rulers respond to such tragedies.
Full Transcript (Cleaned and Slightly Condensed)
Hello everyone. Hi. Welcome to Lays Real Talk. Welcome to Lay’s Saturday Night Live. I talked about Hong Kong’s fire last Saturday. So, it’s been a week. Someone asked me about whether the fire was arson, and I said I didn’t have enough information to tell you what it was about.
And it took me a week to believe what I’m going to tell you today. Imagine this. It’s a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Then suddenly seven 31âstory towers erupt into flames almost simultaneously. Residents have less than 5 minutes to escape. The smoke climbs like a black tornado and the fire spreads faster than anything we’ve seen in Hong Kong’s history. But what comes next is even more chilling: an official death toll that defies physics, thousands of missingâpeople posts neglected, and a government refusing to publish a victim list, while a population asks one forbidden question: where are the missing thousands?
The fire erupted on the afternoon of November 26 and, according to the authorities, at least 159 people were killed and 31 people are still missing. The moment people heard that seven buildings caught fire at the same time, suspicion exploded. That kind of synchronized blaze is almost unheard of, so some people claim this is arson with ill intention. Lei says she will explain that theory later.
The fire itself was tragic, but the way the Hong Kong government handled it was, in her view, even more tragic. She shows images of memorial messages posted by students at Hong Kong Baptist University calling on the government to address public concerns. The school quickly covered the wall with boards, and when the student union reposted the messages on December 4th, the school made them stop again. Lei asks: what exactly is the government trying to hide? Many believe it is the real number of deaths.
Officially, the government claims 159 dead and 31 missing, but many people, including Lei, do not believe this number. From a physical or statistical perspective, she argues the figure is not just suspiciousâit is impossible. She calls it a number invented to cover up corruption, systemic failure, or something possibly more sinister. Postâdisaster photos show charred bodies, melted structures, and devastation, which explains why so many question the official toll.
Because of the doubts, Hong Kong residents conducted independent analyses. One estimate puts the real death toll as high as 1,300, and Lei believes even that may be conservative. Some suggest 2,000 people are unaccounted for and that real casualties are ten times the official figure. She promises to walk viewers through the reasoning so they can judge for themselves.
Lei recaps the event: a rare, extreme disaster spanning seven 31âstory residential towers, classified as a levelâfive fire (the highest level). The buildings were wrapped in flammable windowâsealing foam covered by soâcalled safety nets that actually fed the flames. Crucially, every fire alarm in the eight towers failed, creating a âchimney effectâ as flames shot upward. Residents on upper floors had almost no chance to escape.
A Hong Kong resident used 2021 census data to calculate the affected population. Hung Fu Court housed 4,643 residents, averaging about 580 per tower. Seven of eight towers burned, so roughly 4,060 residents lived in the affected buildings. To estimate casualties, one must know how many people were on site at the time and what mortality rates highârise fires historically produce.
The fire started at 2:51 p.m. on a Wednesday. The population was older than average: elderly residents comprised about 40% of the total and Lei estimates that over 90% of them would be home at that hour. Children under 18 represented 10% of the population, with about 60% home since many had already returned from school. Working residents were about 30% of the population, with perhaps 20% home (remote workers). The remaining 20% were homemakers and adult students; she estimates that 50â55% were home. Weighing these groups together, she gets an overall âatâhomeâ rate of about 58%, higher than normal due to the large elderly population.
Doing the math, she estimates around 2,366 residents were physically in the buildings when the fire began. Adding approximately 250 renovation workers, caregivers, nannies, delivery workers, social workers, and visitors, she arrives at roughly 2,600 people on site when the fire erupted.
Because the estate was under longâterm construction, windows were sealed and fire alarms in all eight towers failed. Many residents did not know a fire had started. The fire did not begin from a single point; it ignited on multiple floors and in multiple buildings nearly simultaneously. Some observers claim that after firefighters arrived at the first burning building, fires suddenly broke out in the other towers, including those further away, in directions that did not match how windâdriven spread would normally work. This leads some to suspect arson, or at least multiple separate ignition points.
Within minutes, all seven buildings were engulfed. Vertical escape routes filled with thick smoke, and Lei says residents above the 15th floor had almost zero chance of survival. Now she tests the official number. If 2,616 people (using her rounded figure) were inside the towers and 158 died (using one of the official tallies mentioned), the implied mortality rate is about 6%. She compares this to wellâknown highârise fires: Londonâs Grenfell Tower in 2017 had about 300 residents exposed and 72 deaths, a mortality rate of 24%. Grenfell was one 24âstory tower. Hung Fu Court was seven 31âstory towers, with worse building materials, faster spread, failed alarms, sealed windows, and scaffolding nets acting as fuel. Lei argues there is âno way in the universeâ that Hong Kongâs mortality rate is only 6%; it should be higher than Grenfellâs.
She adds more examples: a 1995 fire at a 13âstory building in Taipei with a 31% mortality rate, and a 2017 apartment fire in Brazil (ValparaĂso/Varaso) with a 33% rate. Across history, she says, extreme highârise fires cluster around a median mortality rate of 30%, with a conservative low bound of 25% and an upper bound of 50%. Applying these to the Hung Fu Court estimate of 2,600 people trapped, a 30% rate would mean 784 deaths. A 50% rate would mean about 1,300 deaths. Given Hung Fu Courtâs conditions, she believes the real number is closer to the high end, and even that may be optimistic, because it assumes half the trapped residents survived a daysâlong inferno.
She then points to corroborating signs that many more people were lost. In a Hong Kong Facebook group, people reported that the governmentâs official âcare teamâ threw away large volumes of donated supplies, claiming âno one needed themâ and that the items were âgarbage.â Lei finds this implausible, arguing that donors do not send trash and that the more likely explanation is that there were not enough survivors left to use the supplies. If the preâfire population of the eight towers was around 5,000 (counting nannies, caregivers, and others beyond the 4,643 census figure), but only about 2,000 people used government shelters, then roughly 3,000 people are âmissingâ in the sense of not being in shelters or clearly relocated. In cramped Hong Kong, she doubts thousands could all simply move in with relatives or check into hotels on their own dime.
Hong Kongâs major newspaper Ta Kung Pao (she pronounces it âTaongoâ) reportedly wrote that residents of the eight towers held 7,600 life insurance policies, implying an occupancy higher than official population figures. Lei infers that if the base population is larger, her earlier estimate of 2,600 people on site is actually low, meaning casualty estimates should be even higher.
She notes that thousands of missingâperson posts appeared online after the fire, with families looking for loved ones. She asks how authorities could narrow the official missing number to 31 when so many people were searching for relatives and friends. She wonders whether all these families have truly been reunited. Most damning, she argues, is that more than a week later the government still had not published a list of the deceasedâcontrary to international norms. She contrasts this with the 2021 Miami condo collapse, where U.S. authorities released detailed victim and survivor lists by floor and unit.
Lei cites anonymous firefighter accounts claiming there were at least five to ten bodies on each floor of some buildings. If even five people died on each of 31 floors in seven buildings, that would imply around 1,600 deaths; if ten per floor, more than 3,000 deaths. She concludes that, combining statistical analysis, eyewitness claims, missingâperson posts, shelter counts, and insurance data, roughly 2,000 people may have died and that the official figure of 158 is âphysically, statistically, historically, and logically impossible.â
She then situates the fire within a larger pattern of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) disaster coverâups. She mentions the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, where the government reported around 70,000 deaths but citizen investigators believed the real number approached 300,000, including tens of thousands of students killed in substandard schools. Writer Tan Zuoren, who documented victims and criticized âtofuâdregsâ construction, was jailed. She also recalls the 2021 Zhengzhou flood, in which an urban tunnel filled quickly with thousands of vehicles; official figures reported under 4,000 dead and missing combined, but some estimated 20,000â30,000 fatalities. Lei argues that in China, death tolls are political, not factual, and sees the Hong Kong fire as fitting that pattern.
The final third of the talk shifts into metaphysical and symbolic territory. Lei discusses a numerologist in London, Miss Zhang Ying, who uses Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star astrology) to analyze the event and concludes it was not an accident but a ritualâseven âincense pillarsâ offered to extend the life or power of a political regime. The seven burning towers are likened to seven giant sticks of incense. She notes that British psychic Craig Hamilton-Parker had earlier predicted a politically motivated multiâbuilding fire in Hong Kong. A fengâshui (funray) master also spoke of geomantic structures involving ânine dragonsâ and âseven incense pillarsâ and warned of a âgreat golden dragon formation.â
She points out an eerie coincidence: the Hong Kong film âCity on Fire,â starring Andy Lau, depicted seven of eight buildings burning simultaneously, mirroring Hung Fu Courtâs seven of eight towers. The movie was released around the time scaffolding went up at the estate, and although the scene is brief, some viewers find the parallel unsettling. According to Miss Zhang, firefighters initially arrived when only one tower was burning, but as they focused on it, six more towers quickly caught fire. Each was separated by at least ten meters, too far for sparks to leap across under normal conditions. Videos allegedly show fires starting on the sides of buildings farthest from the original blaze, fueling the arson theory.
Lei asks why exactly seven buildings burned and not eight. She quotes Daoist incenseâoffering rules that emphasize odd numbers; seven is said to be the maximum incense number in the âhuman realm,â representing a plea to reverse life, death, and destiny. In this reading, the seven towers became seven sacrificial pillars meant to extend the regimeâs longevity. She also relays Zhangâs claim that the official who arranged the ritual betrayed his superiorâsupposedly Xi Jinpingâby siphoning off the âbenefitâ of the ritual for himself while leaving Xi to bear its karmic consequences. Zhang suggests that Xiâs own chief of staff may be involved.
Lei ties this to a broader âfunrayâ analysis of Hong Kong as a dangerous place physically, politically, and spiritually, with snakeâshaped urban designs that she believes drain good energy from Hong Kong and redirect it north toward Beijing. She says only the CCPâapproved Hong Kong government can approve such designs.
She then introduces another powerful symbol: the death of a white crested ibis named Pingping at Beijing Zoo on December 1. The zoo posted a long, emotional obituary for the bird, which died at almost 40 years old. Chinese netizens immediately drew parallels to Xi Jinping, seeing the obituary as an omen. Lei lists six connections: the birdâs name Pingping echoes Xiâs given name; it came from Shaanxi, Xiâs ancestral province; it is a white bird, and Xiâs surname in traditional form incorporates the characters for âwhiteâ and âfeather,â leading some to joke that he is a âwhite feather birdâ; the ibis has a red crown and red feet, symbolizing the red regime; Pingping lived roughly the equivalent of 120â150 human years, reminiscent of Xiâs earlier comment to Putin about wanting to live to 150; and the birdâs keeper is surnamed Mao, the same as Mao Zedong, whom Xi emulates. Netizens therefore read âPingpingâsâ death under âMaoâsâ care as a sign foreshadowing Xiâs downfall.
Because Xiâs name and likeness are heavily censored online, Chinese citizens use such coded symbols and euphemisms to discuss him. Lei says that while speech can be censored, fate and omens cannot. She notes that many people celebrated the passing of the white bird not out of hatred for the animal but because of what it represents. She also cites an ancient prophetic text (often called âTui Bei Tu,â though she pronounces it differently) that describes five birds crossing mountain peaks, four black and one white, with the white bird dying after striking the mountain. Many now associate this âfifth white birdâ with Xi Jinping, Chinaâs fifth CCP leader, and see the Hong Kong fire plus Pingpingâs death as signs pointing toward a regime in trouble.
In the closing Q&A, Lei fields questions about Daoism. She argues that genuine Daoist cultivation is solitary and not meant to form an organized religion like Buddhism. She distinguishes higherâlevel spiritual practice from lowerâlevel Daoist âtechniquesâ such as fengâshui, fortuneâtelling, and ritual magic, which she views as worldly and sometimes evil because they can channel harmful energies. She also briefly answers questions about Taiwan politics, Xiâfaction corruption cases, her newsletter plans, duck recipes, and her Christmas gift guideâespecially herbal eye patches for eye strain and early cataracts.
The stream ends with Lei reiterating that the casualties in Hong Kong are likely far higher than admitted, that the city has become dangerous on multiple levels, and that omensâfrom fire to birdsâare fueling widespread speculation about the CCPâs and Xi Jinpingâs future.

Republicans always promised to replace Obamacare. Rand Paulâs new plan actually couldânot by spending more money, but by unleashing buying power.
Hereâs the real play:
Let Americans buy insurance the way they buy Costco memberships. Huge pooled groups = lower prices.
Let everyone use a Health Savings Accountâeven to pay premiums. That turns health money into a tax-free weapon.
But hereâs the part nobody sees:
Letting Amazon, Costco, and Walmart form giant health groups effectively creates a corporate-run national health system overnight.
And universal HSAs could collapse traditional insurance as people shift to cash-based, price-transparent medicine.
It looks like reform. It might actually be the quiet revolution of U.S. healthcare power.
—————————————–
For years, Republicans said they would repeal and replace Obamacare. Nobody believed them anymoreâuntil an old idea resurfaced with a new twist.
Rand Paulâs âHealth Marketplace and Savings Accounts for All Actâ sounds boring on the surface. Itâs not. Underneath the legislative language is a structural shift big enough to reroute the entire healthcare economy.
Washington thinks this is just about lowering premiums. Thatâs the distraction. The real story is about who ends up controlling healthcare in America.
THE PROBLEM THEY ADMIT IN PUBLIC
Obamacare subsidies exploded:
$57B a year â $125B a year
And rising fast, with no price negotiation
Federal debt climbing past $38 trillion
Everyone knows this is unsustainable. But the political class has only one tool: throw more money at insurers and pretend thatâs âhelping families.â
Itâs a blank check with no price discipline. And yesâwhen you feed the insurance industry taxpayer cash without limits, they eat without limits.
THE PUBLIC SOLUTION: GROUP BUYING AND UNIVERSAL HSAs
Sen. Paul says:
Let groups (Costco, Amazon, Samâs Club, chambers of commerce, churches) negotiate insurance for millionsâacross state lines.
Let every American have an HSA and use it to pay premiums.
On paper, this is market reform. In practice, itâs far bigger.
This doesnât just lower premiums. It shifts power.
1. CostcoCare, AmazonCare, and WalmartCare Become Americaâs Quiet New Health System
If giant corporations can legally pool millions of members and negotiate their own insurance plans, something massive happens:
The center of American healthcare power moves away from Washington and into the hands of five or six megacorporations.
Think about it:
Amazon already owns One Medical
Walmart is building clinics
Costco is dipping into telehealth
CVS and Walgreens are half-pharmacy, half-hospital already
Once they negotiate insurance for millions, they donât just bargain for lower ratesâthey dictate them.
This is a corporate version of a national health system⊠created without ever calling it one.
Politicians call it âmarket forces.â It might actually be the largest consolidation of health authority in U.S. history.
2. Universal HSAs Could Quietly Collapse Traditional Insurance
Letting HSAs pay premiums is the quiet nuclear bomb in the bill.
Once people can:
stash money tax-free,
pay premiums tax-free,
pay deductibles tax-free,
pay providers directlyâŠ
âŠsuddenly, the insurance companies lose their grip on the payment system.
Why?
Because a tax-free spending account changes patient behavior:
People shop differently
Providers compete differently
Hospitals lose pricing opacity
Insurance becomes catastrophic-only
Itâs not deregulationâitâs evaporation of the old model.
Traditional insurance becomes a dinosaur overnight.
All because Congress tweaks the tax code.
𧚠THE CONSPIRACY ELEMENT: FOLLOW THE POWER SHIFT
Hereâs the big question elites never want to answer:
Who benefits when the government loosens control but corporations tighten theirs?
If Amazon runs your doctorâs office⊠If Costco negotiates your premiums⊠If Walmart controls your primary care⊠If CVS owns your pharmacy + urgent careâŠ
Is that market freedom, or is that just a different flavor of centralization?
Hereâs the conspiracy twist:
Washington insiders know that federal healthcare programs are fiscally doomed. They need a lifeboat. Corporate-led care is the only structure big enough to absorb the collapse if subsidies shrink or debt pressures hit.
This isnât âRepeal and Replace.â This is Prepare and Transfer.
Transfer control from government â corporations. Transfer payment structure from insurance â HSAs. Transfer power from public policy â private networks.
The public thinks itâs about premiums. The elites think itâs about stability of the system when the debt bomb eventually hits.
đŻ BOTTOM LINE
Rand Paulâs plan isnât just a reform. Itâs a pivot point.
It could lower premiums.
It could empower consumers.
It could expand HSAs.
It could weaken federal subsidies.
But beneath the surface, two massive shifts unfold:
Corporate America quietly becomes the new health authority.
Traditional insurance begins its long, slow collapse.
This is not repeal. This is not replace. This is a controlled demolition of the old modelâand a migration to a new one.
Whether that future is better or worse depends on who you trust more:
stock here: been meaning to write this for a while. But it deserves a good write-up that I won’t give to A-Eye, nor have time myself. So I will sound bite it here:
Way more than 10 children were killed by the mRNA Injections. But at least they are admitting that children were killed, even though they no nearly no risk from the COVID Flu.
Yes, there is real âbounce-backâ after stopping Ozempic/Wegovy, and there are non-trivial complication risks. These drugs generally work well while you stay on them, but theyâre not a one-and-done fix.
1. âBounce-backâ / weight regain data
Both Ozempic and Wegovy are semaglutide. Wegovy is just a higher dose, approved for obesity.
Key trial: STEP-1 extension (Wegovy 2.4 mg in people without diabetes)
On the drug for 68 weeks â average 17.3% body-weight loss. PubMed+1
Drug was then stopped and people were followed for another year (to week 120).
During that off-drug year they regained ~11.6 percentage points of that weight loss.
Net result: after 2 years total they were only about 5.6% below their original weight. PubMed+1
Blood pressure, lipids, HbA1c, etc. also drifted back toward baseline.
So roughly two-thirds of the lost weight comes back within a year of stopping.
Other data:
A big real-world study of >40,000 GLP-1 users found that weight regain after stopping was common, and even a 1% regain was associated with a higher chance of restarting the drug (people felt the rebound). JAMA Network
A recent âBounce-Back Effectâ study in people with HIV using low-dose semaglutide also saw substantial regain after cessation, reinforcing that this pattern isnât unique to one trial. PubMed+1
Big picture: for most people these behave like blood-pressure meds: they work while you take them. If you stop, biology (appetite hormones, energy expenditure) pushes you back toward your prior weight.
2. Complications & side-effects
Very common (especially at higher obesity doses)
From trials and the FDA label:
GI issues â nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain.
In one Wegovy trial, 62% on semaglutide vs 42% on placebo had GI side-effects; about 2â3% had to stop the drug because of them. novoMEDLINK+1
Increased heart rate â average resting HR bump of a few beats per minute. AAFP
These are usually âmild to moderateâ but can be miserable and can lead to dehydration.
Serious but uncommon risks
From FDA labels, reviews, and safety alerts:
Acute pancreatitis â rare but documented; listed as a warning on both Ozempic and Wegovy. FDA Access Data+2Ozempic+2
Gallbladder disease â cholelithiasis/cholecystitis risk is clearly increased (gallbladder problems in up to ~5% of semaglutide patients vs 1â3% with placebo). NCBI+1
Kidney injury â usually secondary to severe vomiting/dehydration. Ozempic+1
Diabetic retinopathy worsening in people with pre-existing retinopathy when glucose improves very fast. Ozempic+1
Thyroid C-cell tumors (rodent data) â caused tumors in rats/mice; human risk is unclear, but there is a boxed warning and itâs contraindicated in people with personal/family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. FDA Access Data+1
Mental-health signal â regulators (e.g., Australiaâs TGA) have issued class warnings about suicidal ideation reports with GLP-1 drugs, including Ozempic and Wegovy, though a direct causal link isnât proven yet. News.com.au
Newer case reports/series suggest rare events like non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, acute kidney injury, etc., under investigation. PMC
3. How to interpret all this
Effectiveness is real but maintenance requires staying on the drug or having a very strong long-term lifestyle plan; âbounce-backâ is the rule, not the exception, when you stop.
Most side-effects are GI and reversible, but there are real, albeit uncommon, serious risks that you want a clinician to stratify (pancreas, gallbladder, thyroid, eyes, kidneys, mental health).
Long-term (>4â5 year) safety for obesity doses is still being accumulated; we have good medium-term data but not âlifetimeâ data yet.
stock here: LOL I deleted it. Of my 2025 10 point plan for a Better Lifestyle, number 9 is Control Spam and Distractions. Expand that out to…don’t stick around in Dopamine Traps.

đ„ The Temu Challenge â If You Canât Delete It, Youâre Not in Control
Hereâs the part nobody says out loud:
Temu is not a shopping app. Itâs a psychological operation wearing a discount sticker.
China didnât pour billions into a storefront â they built a behavioral engine designed to capture the Western attention span, hollow it out, and keep you scrolling like a lab animal waiting for the next pellet.
Every color is optimized. Every pop-up is timed. Every âdealâ is a dopamine micro-dose. Every notification is a tug on your reward circuitry.
This is not retail. This is neural conditioning at scale.
And the creepiest part? You feel it.
Try deleting it. Seriously â try. Your thumb will hesitate. Your brain will make excuses. âI might need it later.â âI want to check one thing.â âThis is dumb, why am I deleting it?â
Thatâs not you talking.
Thatâs what addiction sounds like.
Temu is a casino built to live in your pocket â a brightly colored Trojan horse siphoning your attention, your data, your impulse control, and your time.
So hereâs the gauntlet:
Delete the app. If you canât⊠If you feel that little pull in your gutâŠ
Then congratulations. Youâve just proven the point.
stock here: From a Midwestern Doctor, affects all of us, but is another clear sign of child abuse by the “system”. They know full well what they are doing.
Something very strange is happening to kids â and honestly, to all of us.
Modern screens arenât just âentertaining.â Theyâre engineered to hijack the brainâs dopamine system the same way casinos and slot machines do. Bright colors, rapid cuts, sing-song voices, instant rewards â every few seconds. Itâs not a show anymore; itâs a neurological IV drip.
Youâve seen the result: kids melting down the moment you turn it off, zoning out, losing patience, losing spark, losing interest in anything that isnât flashing and screaming for attention. That isnât misbehavior â thatâs withdrawal. A childâs nervous system literally crashing from dopamine overstimulation.
And hereâs the part no one wants to say out loud: the exact same trap is being used on adults. Doomscrolling, TikTok loops, notifications, outrage cycles â all designed to spike dopamine in tiny bursts until normal life feels dull, slow, and empty. The more they feed you, the more you need, and the less you feel.
This is the real crisis: weâre raising a generation whose brains expect life to move at algorithm speed. And the tragedy is that real life â eye contact, curiosity, nature, imagination â simply canât compete with a digital slot machine.
Pull the device away and it looks like chaos. Give it a few days, and something amazing happens: kids calm down, attention returns, creativity restarts, and the human nervous system reboots.
Because beneath all the noise, your brain still remembers how to be alive. You just have to break the dopamine trap long enough to feel it again.

Expanded Explanation â The Dopamine Trap, Addictive Programming, and the Nervous System
Modern childhood is the canary in the coal mine.
Parents are noticing something primal: children today are different â more irritable, less resilient, quicker to explode emotionally, more vacant-eyed, harder to settle, and harder to pull back into real life after screen exposure.
And beneath all of it sits a single, overarching mechanism:
THE DOPAMINE TRAP
This phrase does not just mean âscreens release dopamine.â It means:
A system is intentionally engineered to repeatedly spike dopamine in unnatural, unsustainable bursts, then crash it â conditioning the brain into a cycle of craving, emptiness, and dependency.
Dopamine itself is not pleasure; it is anticipation, craving, and the drive to chase the next stimulus. When that circuitry is hijacked early in life, it reshapes the nervous system in profound ways.
Letâs break this down.
1. What Dopamine Is Actually For
In a natural environment:
A bird finds berries â dopamine rises.
A child solves a puzzle â dopamine rises.
You take a meaningful step toward a goal â dopamine rises.
Dopamineâs true purpose is to reinforce behaviors that support survival, bonding, learning, and exploration.
It is slow, steady, and tied to real-world effort and reward cycles, not constant stimulation.
2. The Modern Dopamine Problem: Hyper-Stimulation Without Earned Reward
Childrenâs programming today â especially YouTube-native shows like Cocomelon, Ms. Rachel clones, TikTok micro-animations, etc. â is not simply âfasterâ or âmore colorful.â It is designed with:
Rapid scene changes (1â2 seconds)
Unnatural vocal patterns
Bright, high-contrast colors
Music loops engineered for reward prediction
Emotional exaggeration
Instant gratification at every micro-moment
This pushes dopamine pathways into overdrive.
The result?
Dopamine spikes become artificially large and artificially frequent â far beyond what normal life can offer.
The nervous system begins expecting this intensity.
Then real life â slow, subtle, relational, textured, sometimes boring â feels intolerable.
This is the true dopamine trap.
3. What the Dopamine Trap Does to the Nervous System
â Shortened attention span
The brain adapts to rapid scene changes, making ordinary pacing feel unbearable.
â Emotional dysregulation
Tantrums are withdrawal symptoms, not misbehavior.
â Loss of âsparkâ
Children who once explored the world now sit still, slack-jawed, waiting for their next digital hit.
â Irritability and mood swings
Exactly what sugar withdrawal looks like â but happening ten times a day.
â Delayed social development
Screens provide predictable, exaggerated emotional cues; real humans do not.
Many pediatric occupational therapists report that modern toddlers now resemble children with sensory-processing disorders from 20 years ago.
This is not a coincidence. It is dopamine-driven nervous system dysregulation.
4. Why Many Parents Are Returning to âOld Showsâ
Parents who switch from modern childrenâs content to:
Mr. Rogers
Sesame Street (the early era)
Blueâs Clues (slow original version)
80sâ90s cartoons
Nature documentaries
Simple animation styles
report dramatically calmer behavior.
Why?
Older shows were paced for human neurology, not for addiction.
They had:
Long takes
Soft voices
Predictable rhythms
Human-to-human communication
Limited emotional intensity
No algorithmic optimization for engagement metrics
No dopamine spikes per second
These programs support a childâs developing nervous system rather than overwhelm it.
5. The Broader Point: Children Are the First to Break
When A Midwestern Doctor writes:
âThe dopamine trap society uses to control us and make us feel dead inside.â
He is pointing to something larger:
Childrenâs programming is only the most blatant example. Adults are caught in the same trap through:
Social media
Doomscrolling
Porn
Gambling apps
Online outrage
Constant novelty
Hyper-fast news cycles
Addictive short-form videos
All of these train dopamine pathways to expect rapid, exaggerated stimulation.
This destroys:
patience
curiosity
resilience
creativity
joy
ability to feel subtle pleasures
capacity for deep work or deep relationships
When dopamine receptors wear down from overstimulation, people feel:
flat
anesthetized
chronically dissatisfied
restless yet tired
disconnected from life
This is the âdead insideâ feeling he is referring to.
6. Why Children Expose the Problem So Clearly
Adults can mask their dysregulation with caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, workaholism, or dissociation.
Children cannot.
Their tantrums, meltdowns, and emotional instability are honest neurological feedback about how toxic the dopamine environment has become.
Children reveal the truth adults hide.
This is why seeing children lose their spark feels tragic: it forces us to confront how much of our own spark has been stolen.
7. The Predatory Aspect
It is not accidental.
Modern platforms use:
Behavioral psychology
A/B testing
AI-optimized thumbnails
Hyper-stimulating audio/visual patterns
Reward loops perfected through massive data
Instant novelty
Infinite scroll
Micro-dopamine triggers every few seconds
Kidsâ shows on YouTube are not designed by educators. They are designed by engagement teams, UX psychologists, and algorithm feedback loops.
The product is not entertainment.
The product is addiction.
And the consumer is your child’s brain chemistry.
8. Reconnecting the Nervous System to Real Life
Parents who remove hyper-stimulating screens sometimes report:
a 2â5 day tantrum period (dopamine withdrawal)
followed by sudden calm
increased eye contact
willingness to explore
imaginative play returning
improved sleep
fewer meltdowns
curiosity replacing irritability
Essentially:
The nervous system wakes back up once it is no longer drowning in dopamine spikes.
This applies to adults as well â often profoundly.
stock here: he claims their goal is to have everyone so stressed and depressed, that they will accept a one world government. LOL and then he goes on to write an article that should get people stressed and depressed. Here it is, and a link.
The end of the world we used to know and love gets closer every day. And everything bad that is happening is happening deliberately. Nothing bad is happening by accident. And there are no coincidences. We are at war with our governments. They donât care, of course, because the aim is to create unhappiness so that the worldâs people will accept a new world government with relief.
Just look at what is happening.
In what used to be called developed, civilised countries, health care is deteriorating to the point where endless thousands are dying for the lack of very simple basic medical care.
The medical establishment is controlled and owned by the drug industry.
General practice is a sick farce â run for the benefit of overpaid, underworked doctors, most of whom donât give a fig about their patients.
Hospitals are as dangerous today as they were in the Middle Ages. Patients who go into hospital are more likely to be killed by the staff than their illness, and most doctors now do more harm than good. Elderly patients who are admitted to hospital are lucky if they leave.
Health care was definitely better in the 1970s than it is now. And arguably better in the 1950s.
Iâd happily debate this claim live on national television with any establishment doctor.
But members of medical trade unions seem to me determined to stamp out health care by putting their own financial interests above the interests of patients. There is also an extraordinary myth that cutting down on treatment will in some bizarre way alleviate imaginary global warming.
But no one debates important issues any more.
Education is a disaster too. Teachers donât teach students how to think. They spread lies and propaganda and expect their students to accept and regurgitate the garbage without question. Indeed, students â even those at university â refuse to think or to question the lies they are told. Anyone who questions the official line will be banned, censored into silence or demonised.
Economies are being deliberately destroyed by policies which seem insane. The naĂŻve blame it on incompetence. But no one could possibly be as incompetent as Britainâs communist government. They are deliberately destroying the economy, wrecking businesses, creating unemployment, destroying savings. They want you broke. Remember: you will own nothing and be happy.
Good, decent food is as difficult to find as honest journalists. Most of the stuff on sale is so full of chemicals and dangerous additives that it isnât fit for human consumption. And yet prices continue to soar. Farmers are under siege.
Energy prices are rocketing too. And when energy prices go up then the price of everything goes up. Government policies in Europe are designed to push energy prices ever higher. The absurd Net Zero policies so beloved by the utterly insane and deluded global warming cultists will result in more and more people having to choose between eating or keeping warm. Politicians in Europe are desperate for a war against Russia and determined, yet again, to prevent peace in Ukraine. The purpose? To push up oil prices still higher and to help depopulate Europe. And, of course, politicians such as Starmer and Macron, whose future is firmly behind them, know that only a good, old-fashioned war can revive their fallen careers. (Naturally, the politicians pushing for war wonât be doing any of the fighting themselves.) Blocking the sun means that winters are going to be colder than ever. Global cooling will be a deliberately man made problem that will kill millions.
Our freedom to say or write what we want went years ago. But things are getting constantly worse. Weâre months away from military rule in many former civilised countries. Anyone disagreeing with their government is likely to be thrown into jail merely for expressing an opinion. Most of the internet is closed to those who dare to share forbidden truths.
Travel is becoming steadily more difficult. Cash is outlawed by more and more companies. We are being pushed into a dark corner of hell where we will, as they promised us, own nothing and be happy.
When youâre depressed enough, and have given up all hope, they will invite you into one of their euthanasia pods. Youâll be signed up for doctor-assisted suicide. Do you really think it is a coincidence that doctor assisted suicide is being legalised all around the world? Yet again there has been no real debate about this.
Over twenty years ago I wrote a series of books about what was happening to our world and warning about the future I could see coming.
The series of books began with `Rogue Nationâ (about how bullies had taken over America and were taking control of everything and everyone) and `England Our Englandâ (about how a bunch of maniacs had created the European Union out of the wreckage of the Nazi party and were bent on continuing World War II and destroying England) and continued with `Why Everything is going to Get Worseâ, `The Truth They Wonât Tell youâ and, in 2006, `Living in a Fascist Countryâ. Oh, and OFPIS, the only book of mine with an onomatopoeic title. Since no mainstream publisher would print such dangerously anti-establishment rhetoric, I had to publish all these books myself. No one would review them, of course. No one would interview me about them though I was still one of the worldâs best-selling professional authors. I was silenced and demonised.
And day by day Iâve seen everything I warned about come to fruition.
The world we now live in is the exact same world that I feared.
England is doomed to enter the worst depression in its history. Everyone with skills or money has either left or is leaving. House prices are doomed to collapse by a fifth â putting many with mortgages `under waterâ. Hundreds of thousands of companies will close in the next twelve months. Unemployment will rise by millions. England may be first to go under but the rest of the world will follow shortly thereafter. The worst depression in history is coming fast. And itâs a manufactured depression.
England is now more of a racist country than ever before with white natives the victims. In most major cities they are an ethnic minority. And all the time more illegal immigrants come pouring in. How many of them love our culture or our history? The Government spends huge amounts of money on immigrants (legal or not) and gives them priority access to health services. Meanwhile, pensioners who have worked and paid taxes all their lives are doomed to choose between heating or eating â with older pensioners in particular receiving the smallest pension paid by any government in the G8. (For reasons no one has explained, older pensioners receive a very much smaller pension than new pensioners and are expected to survive on what the average Gen Zer spends on coffee and nibbles.) And if they need health care the elderly might as well just ring the undertaker â the result will be the same.
`Does it matter?â asked a politician when told that the indigenous population in London is now a minority. Well, yes, it does matter. Itâs good to welcome newcomers but the flood of immigrants threatens our culture and our history. England has been the worldâs most overcrowded country for years and it shows. The infrastructure has stopped creaking and has collapsed. Too many of the self-invited carpetbagger guests despise the natives of the country they have invaded, hate their flag and sneer at their history. However much the Far Left (desperate to obey the fascist conspirators and destroy our world) might like to pretend it is, opposition to immigration isnât a question of race or skin colour. (As everyone who has studied the circle of political thought knows well, there is no difference between fascism and communism. The Far Left eagerly supports the drive towards Net Zero, the New World Order and the Great Reset â though for different reasons to those which drive the conspirators.)
Opposition to mass uncontrolled immigration is a question of overcrowding, inadequate infrastructure, insufficient housing, broken health care, creaking transport facilities. There is reasonable anger at immigrants being given priority over residents who have worked and paid tax for decades.
And history and culture do matter. Teaching is altered to satisfy the invaders rather than the natives. Culture and history are suppressed lest they cause offence to guests.
And itâs a question of money, too. When millions of immigrants pour into a country they cost money. And there are only finite resources. Those who support unlimited immigration are not the ones who will pay the financial cost for most of them are without work themselves. They pay no taxes but they demand the right to rule the world and use fake moral standards to impose their politically inspired ambitions on everyone else.
It is dangerous to say such things in a country where freedom is now just a word in the dictionary.
Nations have leaders who spend most of their time travelling around the world â hoping to look like the statesmen they can never be. Politicians care only about themselves; they break laws with impunity; with the carelessness of policemen. Our politicians are ignorant, bigoted, innumerate, greedy, self-serving and uncaring. They donât even bother to hide the contempt they feel for their employers â the electorate.
None of this is the fault of the insane megalomaniacs who we know as the Bilderbergers. A few obscenely corrupt and stupid people canât run the world by themselves.
None of this is the fault of the maniacs at the World Economic Forum. Theyâre just a bunch of greedy, selfish idiots with grand ideas and a belief that they know they best. They canât make us do what they want us to do.
And none of it is the fault of the various billionaires who strut around the world as though they own it. A hundred mad billionaires cannot force us to obey their whims and fancies.
It isnât even the fault of the Far Left â a minority of cultish illiterates who build their determination on prejudice and bigotry.
What is happening to us is the fault of the compliant, silent majority who say and do nothing but who simply comply and do what they are told because it is easier and often more convenient.
Itâs never popular to say this.
When I made this same point in the Spring of 2020 I was attacked viciously. `Youâll upset people,â I was told.
But if I did upset people I didnât upset enough of them and I didnât upset them enough.
There are still too many defeatist cowards and trolls around who hide behind silly names and say things like: `Nothing will happen. Thereâs no point in fighting it. Get real.â Itâs like advising rape victims to lie back and enjoy it.
They never do anything, these pathetic people, but they are quick to moan and whinge and sneer from their hiding places. Most of them never read anything more challenging than the label on a sauce bottle, and the one thing they have in common is that if you bite back they become hysterical and rush off to tell teacher.
We are losing control of our world as a result of the fact that the silent majority simply do what they are told and never dare to even contemplate thinking for themselves.
We can never win an old-fashioned physical revolution against the evil people who are desperate to push us through net zero, into the new world order and the great reset by choosing to fight in the streets. We cannot win the war we should be fighting by throwing stones or going out into the streets. Demonstrations are a waste of time and energy.
The people who are really destroying us are the people who happily pay for a coffee with their smart phone because it is more convenient than carrying cash. (If you must have a smart phone try leaving it at home when you go out. Use an old 2 or 3 G phone for emergencies. Do you really need any more selfies or pictures of food youâve eaten?) The people who are destroying us are the people who have smart electricity meters fitted to their homes because theyâre told itâs a good idea. The people who are destroying us are the people who put out their weekly recycling because they believe the lies they are told and who stupidly believe that washing out yoghurt cartons with the worldâs most valuable resource â water â will help protect the environment when those same yoghurt cartons are put onto a boat and taken half way round the world to be burnt or buried. (I have never been convinced by the absurd, time wasting recycling nonsense. Itâs nothing more than a training programme designed to encourage compliance with the State.)
The people who are destroying us are the people who happily open their doors to the television licensing desperados. (You donât have to open the door just because someone has rung the bell.) The people who are destroying us are the ones who roll up their sleeves so that they can be vaccinated with toxic and useless drugs â helping to damage the health of those around them, and helping the government to waste money and resources. The people who are destroying us are the ones who say `we canât do anything so there is no point in rocking the boatâ. The people who are destroying us are the ones who never speak up, never protest and never say Why?â The people who are destroying us are the ones who accept the garbage theyâre told without questioning it. The people who are destroying us are the ones who dare not share truths with their neighbours, friends and relatives lest they be sneered at and described as conspiracy theorists.
The people who are destroying us by not saying or doing anything and by complying with every new rule and regulation and authorised suggestion are like frogs in boiling water. The water gets hotter, minute by minute, and by the time they are prepared to jump out of the pan it will be too damned late.
You donât have to face men with guns to be a revolutionary. You donât have to go to prison. Donât break the law (you canât beat the men and women with guns) but simply learn to stand up for what makes sense.
If you agree with me that we are fighting for our lives, please share this article as widely as you can.
I will stress this part though. Kirk was murdered by his Israeli security team. He should have re-thought that as he started to become realistic on Israel.
The details of exactly where the shot came from are interesting, but no longer important to spend a bunch of time on, we know what happened. We don’t really know what part Erika may have played, and maybe she didn’t find out until it was done.
stock here: Noted former military members still operate ALSO under military law. Important distinction.
The left is quickly forcing us to take sides and take decisive actions. It will not end well for many. It will not end how they think it will. We can only take so much before citizens will take matters into their own hands. The justice department needs to act faster and more aggressively. To hell with the liberal justices who try to enact injunctions. We have the law to direct us, not judges who like to interpret the law how they feel politically.
Note the hatred, blame shifting attempt in the comments. Are these real, or are they coming from Kenya to divide us? They also want “gun control”. I checked five accounts, they were all USA based, most of them for several years or more, just one from April this year.
Purportedly the suspect, could be AI. Why is he naked, or 90% so?
In X you go to their profile, and then the 3 dots, and “about this account”
They werenât needed in D.C. You volunteered to send them anyway.
I am NOT a gun owner, but I am requesting for others to consider gun control laws. My heart breaks watching innocent people get hurt or killed. So today I ask gun owners to lay down SOME of their weapons and let the government take them away. We must end the violence!
Not a good look for our Governor. He always wants to be first when reporting info regarding tragedies in our state. Learned this from his buddy in the WH.
There is no way the general public should be hearing anything before the families are officially notified! There is a process that has been in place for notification of family for years.
It is crucial that you have accurate, thrice verified information before you post that someone has died. Come on, Governor Morrisey, you know this already. Itâs more important to be accurate than to be among the first to post online. Love and light to the Guardsmen.
Prayers they are alive and survive this horrific cowardice act. There is a lot of blood on the hands of many Democrat and media correspondents. The rhetoric they continue to spew about ICE and National Guard being against the American people and comparing them to Nazis are all responsible and need to be held accountable. Enough is enough.
Truly heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and the entire West Virginia National Guard community. Their courage and sacrifice will not be forgotten. Rest in peace.
