And on that note, I am not sure that “it is impossible to properly produce large amounts of food without Round Up”. I have learned that when you start with excellent soil, made from decomposed materials, that plants grow strong. Strong enough so that very little bacterial, fungal, and even insect attacks occur. And I am not convinced that this cannot occur on a larger level. It can and it should and it must. We are now at a level of 4 or 5% organic food production. Monsanto internal documents reveal that at a level of 12% to 16% organic production that the Glyphosate Industry will have it’s dangers fully exposed (by obvious comparison of results and health) and it’s financials going forward will be forever diminished.
So far, I have not seen any obvious attempts to downplay, discredit, “prove” that organic farming and it’s excessive amounts of land needed are a threat to humanity (I am making that up). But expect it to happen.

Apparently some lightning bolts do pulsate with multiple flashes. This is a great video showing some spectacular lightning. As our magnetic field (shield) decreases expect more lightning. Consider protecting your flammables. Like Cuba, ouch. I did not see any lightning in all the Cuba videos that I could unearth.
stock here: Taking an hour “off” this morning, and reviewing some Neural Biology and the Cuban Refinery Explosion. I found one video that showed the initial conflagration, it did not look like it was in a storm and I saw no sign of lightning. There were only 5 views on this video. Obviously, this is security camera footage, not a handheld. Therefore there is more footage. And therefore, if the footage showed lightning hitting, then that would certainly be exciting and it would be included in the clip.
Therefore — NO LIGHTNING
I found the plant on Google Earth, no street view available. Point of interest, what camera is actually doing the filming that does exist? I did not see any lightning rods, perhaps like Hawaii, lighting is extremely rare and those standard precautions used elsewhere were considered not needed. The filling structures on the sides of the tanks are much higher than the tank, and certainly higher than the “base of the tank” where they reported that lightning had struck.
I shall attempt later to use lightning.org to view the exact time and place and see if they register lighting in the area. Noted also that the White House and the Vatican received lightning strikes all about the same time.
This link should show the relevant time, 8PM Aug 5 as reported by a resident for the first explosion. Lightning.org uses Universal Time, UTC, so we have to add 5 hours to get UTC 1 AM August 6th.
There was a lightning storm that rolled through the general area earlier that day, but there was absolutely no lightning around 1AM UTC. The closest was a single sporadic bolt around Midnight UTC but that was far inland.
Then this article from CNN stating “Lightning” but then look closely at actual quote….an electric discharge at the base of the tank. Hmmm….lightning usually hits higher up structures like the top of the tank or vapor dispersion tower.
The article below states, this, but no word of lightning bolt. Video footage shared online shows a huge explosion at the facility, with a fireball rocketing into the sky.

Shaun King’s social justice PAC is going to the dogs. Literally.
Grassroots Law PAC, which the progressive grifter founded to elect soft-on-crime local officials, paid roughly $40,000 since December to the California-based Potrero Performance Dogs, according to campaign finance disclosures. The payments are labeled for “contractor services,” making their purpose difficult to discern. But days after a $30,650 payment in February, King welcomed a “new member of the King family”: an award-winning mastiff bred by Potrero named Marz.
King, who has been hounded for years by allegations of fraud, has not been accused of any wrongdoing in relation to Grassroots Law. But the payments for a dog raises questions about whether the former Bernie Sanders surrogate is using PAC contributions the way donors intended.
“This luxury dog expense may not be illegal for a PAC, but it shows little respect for King’s donors,” said Scott Walter, the president of Capital Research Center, which investigates left-wing groups. An heiress of the Hormel meatpacking empire is the PAC’s largest donor. Facebook cofounder Dustin Moskovitz and his wife donated millions of dollars to Real Justice PAC, which King launched in 2018 and works closely with Grassroots Law.
Grassroots Law PAC, which aims to “elect candidates who are committed to reducing mass incarceration and police violence,” has spent nearly as much on King’s pet as it has on political candidates. The PAC has contributed around $56,000 to political candidates since 2021. It paid $10,000 to Potrero in December and another $30,650 on Feb. 16.
King has come under fire over the years amid repeated failures at his various social justice endeavors. The mother of Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old Ohio boy killed by police, said King “robbed” her by holding unauthorized fundraisers in her son’s name. A former King ally, DeRay Mckesson, has publicly accused him of fraud. Real Justice PAC was ordered in December to pay $30,000 to the city of Philadelphia for campaign finance violations in the race to elect District Attorney Larry Krasner (D.).
King has denied allegations of fraud, chalking his failed projects up to poor management or false claims from his enemies. He released an audit in 2019 that said he received a $4,166 monthly salary from Real Justice PAC and “no compensation at all” from Action PAC, the predecessor to Grassroots Law PAC. He said he was “literally the only person” on Action PAC’s staff who does not get paid.
“I have not received a salary or a stipend of any kind for the entire year,” he claimed. “I do it all for free.”

The former actress gets candid in her new memoir, “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” where she details her toxic relationship with her mother and her tumultuous time on Nickelodeon.
According to the New York Times, McCurdy, 30, wrote in her memoir about embarrassing moments on the children’s television network when she was asked to be “photographed in a bikini during a wardrobe fitting and being encouraged to drink alcohol by an intimidating figure she simply calls the Creator.”
She pointed out that when her mother was present, she never interjected or instructed her daughter that this “was the price of showbiz success.”
“Everyone wants what you have,” she allegedly told her daughter.

In McCurdy’s memoir, which will be published on Aug. 9, she recounted auditioning for acting roles at the age of 6 and being “shepherded” into the work by her controlling mother. She also noted that she suffered from obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders and anxiety. McCurdy believed she owed her loyalty to her mother, who controlled every aspect of her life.
After McCurdy starred in “iCarly,” Nickelodeon promised her a spin-off series of her own, but walked back on their offer and made Ariana Grande a co-lead on “Sam & Cat.”

Jennette says she felt undermined by the network as they discouraged her from exploring other career opportunities outside the show. However, those rules did not seem to apply to Grande.
“What finally undid me was when Ariana came whistle-toning in with excitement because she had spent the previous evening playing charades at Tom Hanks’s house. That was the moment I broke,” McCurdy wrote.
“Sam & Cat” only aired for one season during 2013-2014, and after the show’s cancellation, Nickelodeon offered the former actress $300,000 to keep her experiences at the network private, McCurdy said. She refused the offer.
Despite “iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove saying that she and McCurdy quickly became friends on the show together, she was not completely aware of the challenges her friend faced in her life.
“When you’re young, you’re so in your own head,” Cosgrove told the New York Times. “You can’t imagine that people around you are having much harder struggles.”

The flip side of the statistical coin: “Causation necessarily implies correlation.” As I did in the arena of “motor vehicle risk analysis”, wherein “accident causation” proved NOT an oxymoron, one can apply Propensity Score Analysis to good advantage with existing datasets underpinning studies “criticized” or “labelled” CORRELATIONAL. Transforming a pig’s ear to a silk purse has never seemed simpler, in my opinion! If this comment board supports even more verbiage than the preceding, I provide an abstract of a study (2004) I presented to the Society for Risk Analysis.
Motor vehicle collisions are complex events involving multiple factors related to drivers, driving environments, and vehicles, a truism often belied by statistical estimations of risks of real-world crashes and their consequences. Many published studies feature logistic regression analyses of police-reported (observational) data on crashes and appear prone to biases due to omitted relevant variables and failure to deal effectively with confounding. In most cases, however, analysts ask seemingly simple, cause-and-effect questions. For instance, did this change in design, or would this change in condition, mitigate the target problem? The goal is neither to model the complexity of “the problem”, nor to assess the importance of a certain risk factor relative to other factors. Other risk factors, however influential or relevant, can be considered nuisance factors. In such cases, propensity score analysis (PSA) may well be the method of choice. The purpose of this paper is to foster a greater appreciation of the utility of PSA for motor vehicle risk analysis. Two applications of PSA are (1) assessing the effect of occupant loading on the risk of rollover of 15-passenger vans; and (2) evaluating the effect of retroreflective tape on heavy trailers for the risk of side or rear impact by other vehicles during hours of darkness. Results of PSA indicated lesser effects of putative causes (higher numbers of passengers, presence of retroreflective tape) than claimed in published studies to date. In both instances, differences in the magnitude of effects were due mostly to the influence of omitted and confounding variables. Applying PSA, analysts still have to do thorough exploratory data analyses. For the preliminary assessment of simple cause-and-effect relationships, however, analysts can concern themselves much less about the structure and complexity of motor vehicle crashes and their outcomes.
