The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk has been undergoing advancements to incorporate remote flying capabilities, enabling both optionally piloted and fully autonomous operations.
Development of Remote Flying Modes:

Optionally Piloted Black Hawk (OPBH): In March 2014, Sikorsky successfully demonstrated an optionally piloted version of the Black Hawk. Utilizing their Matrix technology, the helicopter performed autonomous hover and flight operations controlled by a portable ground station. This initiative aimed to enhance autonomous cargo delivery and operational flexibility for the U.S. Army.

Skyryse Collaboration: In January 2025, the U.S. Army partnered with aerospace company Skyryse to integrate the SkyOS flight operating system into Black Hawk helicopters. This collaboration seeks to simplify flight operations, reduce pilot training time, and enable optionally piloted capabilities, thereby enhancing safety and operational efficiency.

Implications of Remote Flying Capabilities:

Enhanced Mission Flexibility: Remote flying modes allow Black Hawks to undertake missions in high-risk areas without endangering crew members, including autonomous cargo resupply and medical evacuation.

Pilot Workload Reduction: Advanced automation can handle routine flight tasks, enabling pilots to focus on complex mission objectives.

Operational Safety: Automation aims to minimize human error, potentially reducing accident rates and enhancing overall mission success.

These developments reflect a broader trend in military aviation toward integrating autonomous systems to improve versatility and safety in various operational scenarios.

I think it is Trump Derangement Syndrome. I had a solar tech working for me like 3 years ago, or 4. He was a total libtard, and believed and spouted everything from MSM, like COVID is RAGING, when COVID was solidly on the way out. But he also did single hand trans-ocean crossings in his sailboat. So amazingly, these people can actually perform complex and even dangerous tasks.
