A-Eye says 7 instances of gaps of 3 years or more in 8 Mag and up quakes. In 100 years. We are now at 3 year, 8 months.

And there are 4 of those instances in 100 years. So yeah, this is unusual, but not unheard of.

The second longest gap from 1842 days, so if we go that long from the last 8 on August 12, 2021, that would take us to August 28 2026
