stock here: I visited Kilauea yesterday, weather was mixed: sun, clouds, fog, rain, but it was a great day. Really got the lay of the land with boots on ground, and a bunch of photos and videos. Around 4 PM things cleared and for session 17, the volcano put on a strong display of fountaining to 250 feet. It’ will take me a few days to bounce back into work and planning, and get the photos processed and put online.

And now we have Kilauea turning into “old faithful”, what a strange but awesome development. For the last 8 weeks it erupts every Monday night or early Tuesday.

It will be a race between Alaska and Hawaii for which rumbling volcano will blow its stack first!
