Exodus: Movement of Ja People. See passover backgrounded at bottom

Why would there be plates piled up….to simulate the “Passover” celebration?

I did a gamma correction to bring out more details

The name “Passover” comes from the Hebrew word “Pesach” (פֶּסַח), which means “to pass over” or “to spare.” The origin of this name is directly tied to the biblical story found in Exodus 12.
🔹 Origin of the Name – Biblical Context:
In the Exodus narrative, God sent ten plagues upon Egypt to persuade Pharaoh to release the enslaved Israelites. The tenth and final plague was the death of every firstborn in Egypt.
However, God instructed the Israelites to:
Slaughter a lamb without blemish.
Mark their doorposts with the lamb’s blood.
Stay inside their homes during the night.
That night, when the destroying angel passed through Egypt to carry out the plague, he would “pass over” the houses marked with blood—sparing the firstborn inside.
Exodus 12:13:
"And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you..."
🔹 Key Themes Embedded in the Name:
Divine mercy: God's judgment "passes over" the faithful.
Protection and deliverance: The name captures the act of being spared from destruction.
Beginning of freedom: It marks the start of the Israelites' journey out of slavery in Egypt.
