Hello everyone. I live very close to this region (20 minutes away by car), but I’m not in the danger zone myself. If desired, I’d be happy to provide a few more detailed pieces of information:
1. Brienz is not the only place at risk. It is certainly directly affected, but as the graphic at 0:58 shows, the slope continues downward below Brienz.
2. Further down is another village called Surava. This Surava can be seen at 1:12. Coincidentally, on the right side of the road, you can also see the old Grisons-style house belonging to a friend of mine who restores and deals in antique furniture. He too has to keep a packed suitcase ready and leave the house immediately in case of an alarm.
3.The mentioned railway line of the Rhaetian Railway (the Bernina and Glacier Express are special tourist services run by this railway) is partly visible at 1:11. Right in the middle of the image, you can see four power poles of the train line. Directly above them, you can see the ridge of the mountain with the rockfalls.
Q: Are the Swiss alps affected by all this solar activity lately??
