stock here: saw comments at Civil Beat (Hawaii), and 80% are outraged that NOAA was cutting reports, and GRANTS to ridiculous amounts of weather stations on Hawaii…these are 67 new ones, not existing ones. The article itself complained about the NOAA services being cut….funny thing is, NOAA has not updated the data since 2019!!!!!!

NOAA’s budget has gone up almost 30% since 2019….but they can’t update a spreadsheet to track only the Billion dollar plus events. hmmmm
The data is Costs of Natural Disasters (CPI corrected, but they don’t show the baseline data, and don’t show the CPI factor they use and how, well that is just piss poor for transparency!!!!)
The other data is Deaths.
Neither of this NOAA data has been updated since 2019…..what have they been doing under the Big Guy
