Alaska Radiation Researcher Admits and Real Research on Fukushima has Been Shut Down by US and Canada Governments.

From "Bo" at enenews. through personal email I have confirmed that she is not a troll, she really has a cat, and she really has way too much snow, LOL! And now she has a real geiger counter! The nuke industry is in trouble! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Norbu & DID..I hope your weekend was good. Since I already wrote to you both over e mail.. instead of spilling an 'OMG thank you!!!!' post here on enenews, I decided to express my thanks to the community by contributing a report of my phone coversation with Dr. D a s h e r from U of Alaska. Not sure if you saw my post last week but I talked to KB ( from WH0I) on the phone last week – and KB instructed me to call this Dr. D a s h e r. So I left him a message on Monday, not expecting at all to get a call back.. but he called back (!) on Friday, and gave me a generous & sincere 30 minutes on the phone. If you are not familiar with Dr. D a s h e r, he is featured here ( note esp. Sickputer's post in the comments there)→ http://enenews.com/scientists-link-unusual-alaska-seal-deaths-fukushima-fallout-skin-lesions-hair-loss-lethargy-pulsed-release-built-radionuclides-set-free-ice-melted-discussion-wildlife-health-implications-due Report comment bo bo February 22, 2015 at 5:50 pm Log in to Reply ..Of course I had many questions for Dr. D a s h e r, but I tried to break down the conversation into simple practical 'yes or no' answers. My main question was: 'will you, Dr. D a s h e r, be interested in doing radiation analysis of the organ samples currently available at the Marin County Marine Mammal Center?' His answer: No. he's not accepting samples. U of Alaska already has their freezer brimming with organ samples from ring seals to Beluga whales, and nobody has measured them yet – no funding. 'That's BS !!! Just go in there and wave a geiger counter!!' You might say.. but.. as Dr. D a s h e r painstakingly explained - in order to measure organs in a scientific manner, one must grind up tissue then dry them up to yield 1/2 kg. Then, that sample is monitored with a scintillator over a period of 2 full days..the average calculated from the charted numbers spanning 2 days – & THAT is the accepted radiation of the sample tissue. He told me ( with sincerity, I thought ) he has even taken time out of his work to do volunteer free hours to measure here and there, but that is not enough to create enough data for scientific research. Report comment bo bo February 22, 2015 at 5:53 pm Log in to Reply ..He also told me.. funding for his research on marine mammals and radiation was cut off completely last year, and currently there is also nobody in this country that is receiving funding to measure radiation of the ocean water either. This is why, even KB has to crowdsource each bucket of water from the general public. I remember codeshutdown pointing out how ridiculous this was: 'when there's 90 MILLION in funding for WH0I last year ( which, apparently was a drastic reduction from 120 million from year prior) , how is it that KB has to ask the general public to test each bucket of water… ???!!' Well..I started to see this picture through my conversation with D a s h e r… that '90million' given to WH0I, for example, is split into different research themes – like 'ocean acidification' ( a corporate funding favorite) or 'deep water mineral research' ( another fave) and the funders make sure it's used for THAT and THAT purpose only, and…( I'm guessing this last part →) they make sure as HELL NO $$$$$ goes to radiation monitoring. Report comment bo bo February 22, 2015 at 5:57 pm Log in to Reply Dr. D a s h e r : ' For example, I know the way Ken manages is sometimes he'll piggyback some of his radiation research on boat trips funded for other purposes… ' Slipping a note here: Here's the most recent fund granted to WH0I.. 'WH0I Scientists Receive $1 Million Grant from MacArthur Foundation for science-based climate change adaptation solutions for coastal communities' http://m.whoi.edu/page.do?pid=53004&tid=3622&cid=200169 Perhaps… there are even penalties for those that measure radiation ? (the supposed drastic cuts this year for WH0I?) Report comment bo bo February 22, 2015 at 5:59 pm Log in to Reply The other question I had was 'why did you measure only cesium in the tissue and not strontium or plutonium?' - Answer: U of Alaska doesn't even have the proper set up for strontium measurements (nor plutonium, which is even harder) He told me a long story how in the 60s there were extensive samples and measurements being taken by the government everywhere, and many places did samples of cesium, strontium, plutonium – there was ample funding and equipment back then, and many research programs were being run simultaneously. Then, little by little that phased out.. until today, for example with Strontium, the only places in U.S. that has capabilities to measure is at Lawrence Livermore or Hanford (he might have mentioned another location Montgomery Alabama). ..However, sadly, none of these federal agencies has shown any interest in cooperating on any fukushima analysis. I sensed Dr. D a s h e r had his personal opinion about this but withheld that & simply gave the conversation a sad tone. Report comment bo bo February 22, 2015 at 6:03 pm Log in to Reply ..I can't describe everything and my fingers are getting a bit tired for today..( ← then shut up, bo! Lol ) but in this very generous 30 min conversation he conveyed a picture of the federal government stonewalling Fukushima radiation analysis through reward&punishment-funding and non-cooperation. It seems like…I think.. once scientists in the 60s measured all the radiation in the atmospheric testing era and figured out DIRECT & UNDENIABLE correlation to adverse effects on human health & environment – and probably ESPECIALLY after TMI – they decided to shut down all research and keep everybody, including themselves in the dark ages. After reading past articles of Dr. D a s h e r's research on marine mamnals, I do believe – (as understated as he was) he may have been one of the scientists that actually were looking into Fukushima.. and even this very moderate position got him in trouble in 2013. Report comment bo bo February 22, 2015 at 6:07 pm Log in to Reply Thank you again, Norbu, DID.. I really hope to put the machine to good use, share the information, and maybe even measure the organ samples myself one day. Love & Peace bo

Macarthur's Warning from 1964, Kennedy's Warning from 1963, And Orwell from 1944

I usually like a 60 second sound bite type of post.   This one is much longer.   Start with Matrix and Neo taking the Red Pill.  End with George Orwell signing a letter as "Geo".   Now you know why we are here, at this juncture.   Now we have defined the cause and the problem.

Please drop your own comments here

If you haven't taken the  Red Pill, you are part of the matrix.   And if part of the Matrix, you will be able to understand how the following writing are relevant to current events.   We are perhaps at a tipping point, perhaps at a slow decline to the end whimpering of the human race.

stock 2015: If you look around the group there are Sheeple, Shepherds, and Wolves.  Like the "mark" at a poker game, if you cannot see the Sheeple clearly, then you are the Sheeple.   Wake up, take the Red Pill, and be the Shepherd if you can.

Let's start with Kennedy's Warning

From back when a Big Mac was the "BIG MAC"

Reminiscences by Douglas MacArthur, (McGraw-Hill Book Company, New York, NY, 1964), First Edition, Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 64-22955, pp. 414-418:

Great changes have taken place in our military establishment, some good, some not so good. Materially the improvement has been spectacular, psychologically yet to be proven. The men in the ranks are largely citizen soldiers, sailors or airmen—men from the farm, the city, from school, from the college campus—men not dedicated to the profession of arms; men not primarily skilled in the art of war; men most amazingly like the men you know and see and meet each day of your life.
If hostilities come these men will know the endless tramp of marching feet, the incessant whine of sniper bullets, the ceaseless rustle of sputtering machine guns, the sinister wail of air combat, the deafening blast of crashing bombs, the stealthy stroke of hidden torpedoes, the amphibious lurch over perilous waves, the dark majesty of fighting ships, the mad din of battle and all the tense and ghastly horror and savage destruction of a stricken area of war.
These men will suffer hunger and thirst, broiling suns and frozen reaches, but they must go on and on and on when everything within them seems to stop and die. They will grow old in youth burned out in searing minutes, even though life owes them many tranquil years. In these troubled times of confused and bewildered international sophistication, let no man misunderstand why they must do that which they must do. These men will fight, and, perchance die, for one reason only—for their country—for America. No complex philosophies of world intrigue and conspiracy dominate their thoughts. No exploitation or extravagance of propaganda dims their sensibilities. Just the simple fact, their country called.
But now strange voices are heard across the land, decrying this old and proven concept of patriotism. Seductive murmurs are arising that it is now outmoded by some more comprehensive and all-embracing philosophy, that we are provincial and immature or reactionary and stupid when we idealize our own country; that there is a higher destiny for us under another and more general flag [the United Nations]; that no longer when we send our sons and daughters to the battlefields must we see them through all the way to victory; that we can call upon them to fight and even to die in some halfhearted and indecisive war; that we can plunge them recklessly into war and then suddenly decide that it is a wrong war or in a wrong place or in a wrong time, or even that we can call it not a war at all by using some more euphemistic and gentler name [humanitarianism]; that we can treat them as expendable, although they are our own flesh and blood; that we, the strongest military nation in the world, have suddenly become dependent on others for our security and even our welfare.
Listen not to these voices, be they from the one political party or from the other. Be they from the high and the mighty or the lowly and forgotten. Heed them not. Visit upon them a righteous scorn, born of the past sacrifices of your fighting sons and daughters. Repudiate them in the market place, on platforms, from the pulpit. The highest encomium [praise] you can still receive is to be called a patriot, if it means you love your country above all else and will place your life, if need be, at the service of your Flag.
Great changes, even more comprehensive than in the military field, have taken place in industry. In its massive and almost limitless potential, the rugged determination of its leaders, the skill and energy of its workers, here has been welded an industrial supremacy such as the world has never before known. It comprises not only a power in being but a reserve power capable of being quickly mounted to meet and overcome any eventuality that might arise. This not only ensures a continuity of human progress but imposes an almost impassable barrier against any who would threaten the security of the American continent. It has thus become a leavening influence in a world where war and the threat and fear of war would otherwise so distort the minds of men as to threaten the progress of the human race.
It represents a condition of preparedness born of American enterprise and vision, nurtured upon American energy and incentive, and depending for its ultimate strength upon American will and determination. It is the result and fruition of the capitalistic system—a system embracing every segment of American society—the owners of industry, the workers in industry, the public served by industry. This free enterprise based upon the right to work and the right to possess the fruits of that work has created an economic freedom which is the basis of all other freedoms.
But this very success has created its own perils and harassments, both from without and from within. For from one end of the world to the other there is a titanic struggle to seize control of industry and of the economics. Whether this be in the masquerade of Communism or Socialism or Fascism the purpose is the same—to destroy a primary element of Freedom and preempt it for the State.
The capitalistic system has hence become the great target, although it has never failed to provide the resource for an ever increasing standard for human life, has never failed to maximize the fruits of human energy and creative enterprise, has never failed to provide the sinews for victory in war. It has built this nation far beyond the wildest dreams of its architects; it has through the scientific means of communication closed the international geographic gap to permit rapid and effective trade and commerce among the people of the world, has elevated the laborer, the farmer and the tradesmen to their rightful station of dignity and relative prosperity, and has established the pattern for modern industrialization and scientific development.
The first prominent component of capitalism was Karl Marx who shunned the use of violence and sought the voluntary acceptance of the principle of communal ownership of the sources and means of production. The innate common sense of the human race, however, rejected this principle and the element of force was injected by the Bolshevik after the close of the first World War. Then was combined the theory of Karl Marx with the principle of Nihilism [anarchy; revolutionary insurgency] under which the control of public policy was sought through terrorism and violence. This combination known as Communism has had many successes. The minority, the Communist Party, in many sectors of the globe has been able to establish its rule over the majority. Only where the concept of human liberty was most deeply rooted and greatly advanced were such minority pressures decisively thrown back.
Such was the case in this nation where our economy, built upon the principle of private capitalism, became recognized as the great barrier to the universal enforcement of the theories of modern Communism. There followed repeated and diversified efforts to reduce and destroy it. Resort was had to the control of private profit by the Marxism-inspired device of confiscatory taxation and the levies upon privately accumulated resources.
It began in this country with the Federal Income Tax Law of 1914 which gave unlimited access to the people's wealth, and the power for the first time to levy taxes not for revenue only but for social purposes. [The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels, 1848, Chapter II, Proletarians and Communists, plank #2: "A heavy progressive or graduated income tax."] Since then the sphere of government has increased with a kind of explosive force.
Karl Marx, while planning the destruction of all constitutional government, said: "The surest way to overturn the social order is to debauch the currency." And the Russian dictator, Lenin, that implacable foe of the free enterprise system, predicted as early as 1920 that the United States would eventually spend itself into bankruptcy.
Karl Marx referred, of course, to the process of inflation, induced by extreme taxation; the process of "planned economy" [known today as social engineering]; the process of controlling economic conditions and thereby controlling the lives of individuals—a control of fiscal, monetary and general economic forces which produce higher prices and a gradual devitalizing of the purchasing power of money. The continuing rise in the cost of living is due to our drift deeper and deeper into inflation [the hidden tax] until today our whole economic, social and political system is infected by an inflationary mentality. "Taxation with its offspring inflation," said Lenin, in support of the basic thesis of Karl Marx, "is the vital weapon to displace the system of free enterprise."—the system on which our nation was founded—the system which has made us the most prosperous people of all history—the system which enabled us to produce over half of the world's goods with less than one-seventeenth of the world's area and population—the system which gave our people more liberty, privileges and opportunities than any other nation ever gave its people in the long history of the world. To destroy it is the sure road to Socialism. And by Socialism is meant the forcing of a centrally controlled economic life upon all persons in the nation under an authoritarian monopoly that is politically managed. Actually, there has been through the direction of our own public policy an incessant encroachment on the capitalistic system. Most officials of our government over the past years will deny, and justifiably, any intent to establish in this nation the basis for the emergence of a Socialistic, much less a Communistic State, but the course of fiscal policy has done just that. The fact is unmistakable and clear that if the capitalistic system—free enterprise—is to be preserved to the future generations of our people, the course of government must be oriented to foster and preserve adequate incentive to encourage the thrift, the industry and the adventure which brought our nation to its present pre-eminence among all of the other nations of the earth and which alone can carry it forward in peace and security and progress.

CHANGE
I realize full well that the restless spirit of the times seeks change. But change should not be made for the sake of change alone. It should be sought only to adapt time tested principles which have been proven in the crucible of human experience to the new requirements of an expanding society. To do otherwise is not true liberalism. The Constitution is not to be treated as an instrument of political expediency. Every move that is made to circumvent its spirit, every move that is made to over-centralize political power, every move that is made to curtail individual liberty is reaction in its most extreme form. For the framers of the Constitution were the most liberal thinkers of all the ages and the Charter they produced out of the liberal revolution of their time has never been and is not now surpassed in liberal thought.
The object and practice of liberty lies in the limitation of governmental power. Through the ages the constantly expanding grasp of government has been liberty's greatest threat. Daniel Webster once said on the floor of the Senate:
"Our security is our watchfulness of executive power. It was the Constitution of this department, which as infinitely the most difficult part in the great work of creating our present government; to give the executive department such power as should make it useful, and yet not such as should render it dangerous; to make it efficient, independent and strong, and yet to prevent it from sweeping away everything by its union of military and civil authority, by the influence of patronage, and office, and force. . . . I do not wish to impair the power of the President as it stands written down in the Constitution. But, I will not blindly confide, where all experience admonished me to be jealous; I will not trust executive power, vested in the hands of a single magistrate, to keep the vigils of liberty."
He spoke those words 129 years ago; but they could as well have been spoken but yesterday.
There are many who have lost faith in this early American ideal and believe in a form of socialistic, totalitarian rule, a sort of big brother deity to run our lives for us. They no longer believe that free men can successfully manage their own affairs. Their thesis is that a handful of men, centered in government, largely bureaucratic not elected, can utilize the proceeds of our toil and labor to greater advantage than those who create it. Nowhere in the history of the human race is there justification for this reckless faith in political power. It is the oldest, most reactionary of all forms of social organization. It was tried out in ancient Babylon, ancient Greece and ancient Rome; in Mussolini's Italy, in Hitler's Germany, and in all communist countries. Wherever and whenever it has been attempted, it has failed utterly to provide economic security, and has generally ended in national disaster. It embraces an essential idiocy, that individuals who, as private citizens, are not to manage the disposition of their own earnings, become in public office supermen who can manage the affairs of the world.
The fundamental and ultimate issue at stake is liberty, itself—liberty verses the creeping socialization in every domestic field. Freedom to live under the minimum of restraint! A least common denominator of mediocrity against the proven progress of pioneering individualism! The free enterprise system or the cult of conformity! The result will determine the future of civilization. It will be felt on every human life. It will be etched in blazing rainbow colors on the very arch of the sky.

And from George Orwell, the Author of "1984"

To Noel Willmett
18 May 1944
10a Mortimer Crescent NW 6
Dear Mr Willmett,
Many thanks for your letter. You ask whether totalitarianism, leader-worship etc. are really on the up-grade and instance the fact that they are not apparently growing in this country and the USA.
I must say I believe, or fear, that taking the world as a whole these things are on the increase. Hitler, no doubt, will soon disappear, but only at the expense of strengthening (a) Stalin, (b) the Anglo-American millionaires and (c) all sorts of petty fuhrers° of the type of de Gaulle. All the national movements everywhere, even those that originate in resistance to German domination, seem to take non-democratic forms, to group themselves round some superhuman fuhrer (Hitler, Stalin, Salazar, Franco, Gandhi, De Valera are all varying examples) and to adopt the theory that the end justifies the means. Everywhere the world movement seems to be in the direction of centralised economies which can be made to ‘work’ in an economic sense but which are not democratically organised and which tend to establish a caste system. With this go the horrors of emotional nationalism and a tendency to disbelieve in the existence of objective truth because all the facts have to fit in with the words and prophecies of some infallible fuhrer. Already history has in a sense ceased to exist, ie. there is no such thing as a history of our own times which could be universally accepted, and the exact sciences are endangered as soon as military necessity ceases to keep people up to the mark. Hitler can say that the Jews started the war, and if he survives that will become official history. He can’t say that two and two are five, because for the purposes of, say, ballistics they have to make four. But if the sort of world that I am afraid of arrives, a world of two or three great superstates which are unable to conquer one another, two and two could become five if the fuhrer wished it.1 That, so far as I can see, is the direction in which we are actually moving, though, of course, the process is reversible.
Two and two could become five if the fuhrer wished it.
As to the comparative immunity of Britain and the USA. Whatever the pacifists etc. may say, we have not gone totalitarian yet and this is a very hopeful symptom. I believe very deeply, as I explained in my book The Lion and the Unicorn, in the English people and in their capacity to centralise their economy without destroying freedom in doing so. But one must remember that Britain and the USA haven’t been really tried, they haven’t known defeat or severe suffering, and there are some bad symptoms to balance the good ones. To begin with there is the general indifference to the decay of democracy. Do you realise, for instance, that no one in England under 26 now has a vote and that so far as one can see the great mass of people of that age don’t give a damn for this? Secondly there is the fact that the intellectuals are more totalitarian in outlook than the common people. On the whole the English intelligentsia have opposed Hitler, but only at the price of accepting Stalin. Most of them are perfectly ready for dictatorial methods, secret police, systematic falsification of history2 etc. so long as they feel that it is on ‘our’ side. Indeed the statement that we haven’t a Fascist movement in England largely means that the young, at this moment, look for their fuhrer elsewhere. One can’t be sure that that won’t change, nor can one be sure that the common people won’t think ten years hence as the intellectuals do now. I hope 3 they won’t, I even trust they won’t, but if so it will be at the cost of a struggle. If one simply proclaims that all is for the best and doesn’t point to the sinister symptoms, one is merely helping to bring totalitarianism nearer.
You also ask, if I think the world tendency is towards Fascism, why do I support the war. It is a choice of evils—I fancy nearly every war is that. I know enough of British imperialism not to like it, but I would support it against Nazism or Japanese imperialism, as the lesser evil. Similarly I would support the USSR against Germany because I think the USSR cannot altogether escape its past and retains enough of the original ideas of the Revolution to make it a more hopeful phenomenon than Nazi Germany. I think, and have thought ever since the war began, in 1936 or thereabouts, that our cause is the better, but we have to keep on making it the better, which involves constant criticism.
Yours sincerely,
Geo. Orwell

Mutataions.....the Truth Will Come Out, But Now the Mutations are Being Blamed on "Being Teenager"

http://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/teen-dads-pass-mutations-their-kids-n307891

No time to report in depth on this now, but the bottom line in that in the last 4 years, a lot of radiation has been placed on the world, and those with replicating cells will be the hardest hit.

Now human mutation rates are up to 2%, that is not a good thing.

And the Media that Be refuse to talk about radiation and heavy metals.

Cancer Stats from 2011 STILL not Posted by the CDC

Everything is computerized, everything is linked.    Sheesh even hackers are stealing medical information.

But the CDC still has not released cancer stats in the USA from 2011.

Last spring they had promised the 2011 National cancer stats would be out by fall of 2014.     I checked with them in Mid Feb 2015 and they have not released it and they are not sure when they will release it.

the breakdowns by State, which will be really important in showing the impacts of Fukushima on real cancer rates in the States that got dosed the worst, will be even further delayed.

Here is a report from 2010.    You can see quite readily, that they are focusing on "deaths from cancer".   Not cases, but deaths.    And by deaths, they mean that if someone got cancer, but they were able to be kept alive for 5 years, then it no longer counts as a cancer death even if they die in year 6.

They also focus on "co-morbidity" meaning that is something else kills you, then the death is not attributed to cancer.     They have some non-intuitive terms, and I need to study them more, but really kind of waiting on the 2011 data to put my effort into this big time.     And of course, disease and cancers are not always instantaneous.

If anyone wants to dig more into this report, and provide a summary or clarification on how to interpret, please just email me or post into a comment, and I will append in March after my 2015 Solar Blast which I embark on tomorrow.

Ginna Is Lying Through It's Teeth by 1125%, $43 extra per customer per month to Cover It's $245M Fine for Fraud and Rate Fixing

Ginna Nuclear Plant was Convicted in 2012 for Fraud and Price Fixing

They were fined $245M

Now they say that they have lost hundreds of millions over the last few years.    And they want to stick it to the rate payers.    They want to keep this 45 year old plant open for 4 more years, charging rate payers up to $17,500,000 more per MONTH!

This is covers their fines for Fraud, and make up for lost profits.   Disgusting these pigs.

Fraud Info
http://nukeprofessional.blogspot.com/2012/04/fraud-by-constellation-energy-245m-fine.html

The latest calculations from the de-liar, the Nukepro, shows that their written submission could see them charging customers up to $43.75 extra per month, and keep in mind, these people have been convicted of fraud and rate rixing.    So why would they not charge near maximum amount?

Ginna states in the article linked here near the bottom, that the cost will be $3.89 per customer per month!     But it could be $43.75, only 1125% more than their minimizations.

The start of the propaganda in Nov 2014

http://www.rochesterhomepage.net/story/d/story/the-future-of-ginna-nuclear-power-plant-uncertain/48117/YHLnyTmFt0StlE4Xth_4VA

Succinctly, you either pay us more or we drop you in the dark:
"One thing that consumers want more than anything else is reliability.  they want to know the lights are going to be on when they flip they throw the switch.  And if that involves a mixture of some power that costs more than others in the mix, people understand that it's worth it, because the lights go on and stay on," said Mike Power
As for a solution, Power says there won't be one anytime soon.  Talks between all parties involved will likely go on behind closed doors for years.   Meanwhile, Ginna continues to produce power but lose money.
I see....don't worry, the cost will only be a little and it will be a long time from now.    But remember, we warned you.
----------------------------

Their new "rate case"

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2015/02/13/plan-ginna-plant/23346995/
Exelon / Ginna states that saving the plant will "protect critical tax revenue"  for the region.    hmmmmm, can that even pass the straight face test?     The tax revenue  is being paid by Ginna  after it collects the money from the rate payers.      Wouldn't it just be better if the rate payers just kept that money without it shuffling around and being chewed up in government inefficiency?

I see, so people are worried that these extra charges could stick around forever.    But wait, their is a "seperate plan"......

The "transmission and distribution upgrades" in the Exelon statement refers to a separate plan that RG&E has proposed to limit the duration of surcharge payment.
Right but Exelon s plan can be approved without the other plan to limit duration ever being approved.....and the subsidies can go on forever....

Exelon could choose to keep the plant in operation after that if market conditions warranted.
Nukepro calculates that Exelon will be authorized to charge Ginna customers 6.3 cent per kWH more than they are charging now.    See the spreadsheet below.

Here they calculate that the rate payers would be extorted for $75M to $100M a year from these convicted fraudsters.

Exelon, Bragging that it's Plant Ran Continuously During the New England Winter Storm, Except They Don't Have Any Plants There

Here is the arrogant tweet from Exelon

And one response, only one?   Don't y'all tweet?

Economics of Nuclear Shows It Is Completely Impossible In The Modern World, Yet Wallstreets Hit Men Still Push It

Just like the lies from Pandora's Promise (effectively an infomercial which pretending on the onset to be a documentary presenting a balanced view, even a bit negative on nuclear) the Motley Fool using a similar tactic in this article:

http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/02/14/did-obama-just-waste-907-million-trying-to-save-nu.aspx#commentsBoxAnchor

From the article
PRISM is a fast neutron reactor, which means it's capable of being fueled with used nuclear fuel and can generate up to 100x more power from plutonium than traditional reactors. General Electric is hoping the capability helps it to deploy the advanced reactor at existing nuclear sites (to dispose of nuclear waste stored onsite) and plutonium storage facilities (to safely dispose of plutonium stockpiles). Investors may see the first PRISM -- or SMR, for that matter -- deployed in the United Kingdom sometime in the 2020s to consume the nation's relatively large plutonium stockpiles and create enough energy to fuel the country for 100 years.
Not a single mention of the incredible danger of nuclear just through normal operations and through disasters.    There have been over 100 serious accidents with nuclear, but yet they  tell us....just wait the next brand new technology will be safe.

Oh sheesh, just what we need....frisky nuetrons.

A comment left at the site, please add your own.
A single nuclear plant can kill a country.   And there is no solution for the waste.    And trying to burn plutonium with its extra zealous neutrons can result in an explosion like Fukushima 3 and 4, both were using MOX, Plutonium enriched fuel.

Quick reality check here.    Kewaunee was shut down on economics, that plant was purchased for $200M in 2004.  Kewaunee was selling into a retail environment in Wisconsin of 14 cents per kWH.

Vogtle in Georgia, under construction, will cost $16,000 M.     80 times more than Kewaunee.   Yet it will have to compete is a rate environment of 8 cents per KWH.

Does this even need any more consideration?

And the nuclear promotion NEI is complaining to Wall Street, check out some of their disgusting bleats.

http://safeenergy.org/2015/02/13/neis-pitiful-plea-to-wall-street/
But Fertel wasn’t done. He blamed the problem on, who else, us anti-nuclear groups. As Northey reports, “‘I think there are anti-nuclear groups–and I look at them the same way as I look at companies, they’re a business,” Fertel said. “Some of them are very idealistic, but fundamentally they’re trying to raise funds.'”
Yes, that’s why we’re anti-nuclear, because we just want to raise a lot of money from all those incredibly wealthy anti-nukers out there to pay for our south Pacific vacations and the new Teslas in our driveways. We wish. It’s true we have to raise funds to survive and do our work. But as anyone who has taken even a cursory look at our, or any other anti-nuclear group’s finances, knows–we ain’t in it for the money.

Climate Gate, and a Marxist Scissors Strategy, A brilliant Post from UK News Site

Comment by Dean Jackson

The caption reads, "The fiddling with temperature data is the biggest science scandal ever"

In fact, fiddling with the data is just the tip of the iceberg, the real scandal is that both sides to this debate intentionally avoid the already established science on the subject, which informs one that those who critique the established narrative for global warming are actually in bed with their supposed opponents. Marxists call this tactic the "scissors strategy", in which the blades represent the two falsely opposed sides that converge on the confused victims [neutralizing true opposition].*

My research into IR absorption/heat retention of Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen and Nitrogen...

"Due to their symmetry, homonuclear diatomic molecules like N2 and O2 do not exhibit a static electric dipole moment, such as H2O, nor is there the possibility to induce vibrationally a dipole moment, as in the case of CO2. Thus, there are no strong infrared absorption bands due to dipole transitions as in the case of the major greenhouse gases. However, as discovered by Crawford et al. [1949], collision-induced absorption leads to weak absorption features of N2 and O2 in the infrared [e.g., Hartmann et al., 2008].

...

6. Conclusions

[21] This work challenges a common perception on the negligible role of O2 and N2 as natural greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere compared to species like CH4 or N2O. It is in fact the large abundance of oxygen and nitrogen which compensates for their only weak interaction with infrared radiation through collision-induced absorption bands. We have shown that for hypothetic atmospheres consisting of only single gases the natural greenhouse effect of O2 and N2 together would be larger than that of CH4 by a factor of around 1.3. For a realistic atmospheric composition this effect is reduced through shading of O2 and N2 absorption bands mainly by spectral signatures of H2O and, to a less extend, by CO2. Still the net global OLR reduction of oxygen and nitrogen together is with 0.28 Wm 2 about 15% of that due to CH4. However, for dry atmospheric situations like over the Antarctic continent the effect of O2 and N2 even reach up to 80% of the influence of CH4 for a realistic atmospheric composition."

Here's Oxygen's IR absorption bandwidths (exclude non-IR lines at wavelengths between 0.6 and 0.7, and at wavelength 1000.0) ...

And here's Nitrogen's IR absorption bandwidths...

Here's NASA saying that Oxygen and Nitrogen don't absorb IR(!)...

'You have already learned that Earth's atmosphere is composed primarily of nitrogen and oxygen. These gases are transparent to incoming solar radiation. They are also transparent to outgoing infrared radiation, which means that they do not absorb or emit solar or infrared radiation.'
http://www.ces.fau.edu/nasa/module-2/how-greenhouse-effect-works.php

Here's the Goddard Institute for Space Studies saying that Oxygen and Nitrogen don't absorb IR(!)...

'It has been understood since the 19th century that some gases absorb infrared radiation (IR) that is emitted by the planet, slowing the rate at which the planet can cool and warming the surface. These so-called greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide and water vapor, as well as ozone and methane among others. Note, however, that the bulk of the atmosphere is made up of nitrogen and oxygen molecules which don't absorb IR at all.'
http://www.giss.nasa.gov/research/briefs/schmidt_05/

stock here: However, they present a nice chart which proves that CO2 is actual an excellent energy emitter, i.e. an atmosphere coolant.

Here's the National Center for Atmospheric Research performing its Marxist duty, telling us that Oxygen and Nitrogen don't absorb IR(!)...

'Most of the gas in the atmosphere is nitrogen and oxygen – both of which are molecules made of two atoms. The atoms in these molecules are bound together tightly and unable to vibrate, so they cannot absorb heat [sic] and contribute to the greenhouse effect.'

http://scied.ucar.edu/longcontent/greenhouse-effect

Here's The Science Museum (London) performing its anti-science duty, telling us that Oxygen and Nitrogen don't absorb IR(!)...

'Nitrogen and oxygen don’t absorb infrared energy in our atmosphere because their molecules – composed of two identical atoms – don’t vibrate or rotate at infrared frequencies.'

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/climatechanging/climatescienceinfozone/exploringearthsclimate/1point5/1point5point2.aspx

Here's the American Physical Society performing its anti-physics duty, telling us that Oxygen and Nitrogen don't absorb IR(!)...

"The presence of complicated molecules in the earth's atmosphere impedes the earth's ability to radiate thermal energy into space. By complicated molecules, I mean ones that have vibrations that allow them to absorb infrared light. The most abundant molecules in our atmosphere, nitrogen and oxygen, don't do that."

http://www.physicscentral.com/experiment/askaphysicist/physics-answer.cfm?uid=20080506025435

The heat retention for Nitrogen is cp = 1.04, cv = 0.743; for Oxygen is cp = 0.919, cv = 0.659; while for Carbon Dioxide is an inferior cp = 0.844, cv = 0.655...

https://web.archive.org/web/20131030235926/http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/spesific-heat-capacity-gases-d_159.html

In other words, increasing Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere means increasing the cooling of the atmosphere; Carbon Dioxide is a superior absorption molecule for IR, snatching IR that would otherwise have been absorbed by Oxygen and Nitrogen, but because Carbon Dioxide is an inferior retainer of heat compared to Oxygen and Nitrogen, a greater portion of the IR induced heat emitted by the increased levels of Carbon Dioxide is lost to space, thereby cooling the atmosphere.

Result: All things remaining equal, increasing the levels of Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere COOLS the atmosphere, meaning attempts to curb Carbon Dioxide levels will actually INCREASE temperatures.

The real scandal concerning man made global warming isn't these phony back and forth accusations each side throws at each other every once and awhile, but (1) the verifiable lie both sides keep quiet about concerning Oxygen and Nitrogen's capability to absorb infrared radiation; and (2) both sides' silence on the more important issue of an atmospheric gas' RETENTION of the heat generated within it due to IR absorption.

The fact that both sides are working together to cloud the issue of global warming tells us there's a THIRD side present--Marxists attempting to sabotage the economies of the West.

You can find more information on this broader topic of Marxist infiltration of the West's political parties/institutions at my blog...

* Scissors Strategy

"The dialectic often appears under other names. A December 30, 1961 report by the House Committee on Un-American Activities, entitled “The New Role of National Legislative Bodies in the Communist Conspiracy,” contained two crucial chapters from a book smuggled out of Czechoslovakia. Written by an official of that country’s Communist Party, the book described the dialectical method used to seize power in Czechoslovakia. Communists infiltrated key positions in the Czechoslovak government, while simultaneously organizing street demonstrations against that government. Those two arms of the dialectic, by pretending to fight each other, generated enough confusion among the general public that all genuine opposition was neutralized. The book used the terms coined by V.I. Lenin, first dictator of the Soviet Union, referring to thesis and antithesis as “pressure from above” and “pressure from below.”

The Soviet KGB uses its own set of code words to refer to the dialectical strategy. According to former KGB staff officer Anatoliy Golitsyn, the official term for the dialectic is the “scissors strategy,” in which the blades represent the two falsely opposed sides that converge on the confused victims [neutralizing true opposition]. Golitsyn, who is probably the most important Soviet ever to defect to the West, escaped in 1961. After more than two decades of trying to warn uninterested American leaders, he wrote the 1984 book New Lies for Old as a warning to the general public, exposing the role of the scissors strategy in global events.

Golitsyn revealed that the Communist bloc had adopted a coordinated long-term strategy beginning in the late 1950s, created in part by Golitsyn himself, the purpose being to convince the West that international Communism was disintegrating. Phony dissidents, factions, and power struggles within Communist parties, splits or wars between Communist nations, and temporary freedoms within each country have become dialectical tools of deception, allowing people in the West to take sides in these controlled struggles and thereby succumb to the strategy. Golitsyn argued that the dialectic has succeeded because imaginary factions or splits among Communist rulers are perceived as real by the West.”

And a rebuttal here, playing the conspiracy card, lol The absorption of IR of N2 and O2 is a small correction to the IR absorption of outgoing long wave radiation. It does not negate the much larger effect of CO2 and the H2O on climate according to the link you have posted. If you look at the link, the bulk of the asorption for N2 is taking place below 200/cm and above 2200/cm. In both of these cases there is practically no radiation emitted from a surface at 300K at these wave lengths. There is a reduction in tramission due to oxygen around 1600/cm but this is at its minimum about 0.7 with a maximum of 1. If you look at the absorption of water vapor in that range it is practically 0. So this is a small effect present only in dry atmospheric conditions. Since CH4 the 15% of CH4 is only a small factor in the GHE. CO2 and H2O produce the lion's share of warming. In addition your post shows that you don't understand the atmospheric greenhouse effect. It does not depend at all on the heat capacity of gases as you imply. The amount of radiant energy that they retain is not the issue. It is the fact that the upward going radiation that would normally go to outer space is absorbed and re-emitted equally in all directions. So half of what is absorbed is sent back downward. The emission rate and absorption rate per unit volume depends on the temperature and the density of GHG's. The radiation sent to lower elevations will act to warm the lower elevations, including the surface of the earth. At higher elevations the temperature is reduced and so is the absorption rate, so the radiation escapes to outer space. Because the temperature is lower at higher elevations, the radiation flux is less, because of the Stefan Boltzmann law. That is why the outgoing radiation is reduced below what it would be as a result of the action of GHG's. So you scientific understanding of the GHG is low. This combined with your overwhelming anxiety about Marxists lurking in the shadows ready to pounce leads to a post which is a combination of scientific quackery and paranoid conspiracy theory. Classic!

Failed Climate Change Predictions Gets a Website

From the author of this new web site from late 2014

Whatever your opinion, climate change is one of the most prominent issues of the times.
It relates to the well being of the planet and its occupants. At the same time it incurs the expenditure of billions of dollars and much of it comes from public money.
We are a small group who have followed the global warming/ climate change issue for some years. Initially we didn’t know which version was correct but we noticed several things.
One was the frequent use of predictions, often scary, that seemed on the surface to be believable. We wondered whether anyone ever went back to see if the predictions turned out to be true.

This blog presents predictions that have been made over the past 40 years or so and we leave it to you to make up your own mind about them.
The blog commenced towards the end of 2014 and as it develops we will be continually adding new material and making changes to the layout. At present we plan to add about half a dozen new posts each week.

The fiddling with temperature data is the biggest science scandal ever

This is nice to see.

21594 comments about the Warming lie and the Sea Ice lie. I wish I had wrote it!!

Actually I promoted both these stories in the last few months. BECAUSE the Nuke Cartel is using warming and CO2 as lies to fleece the ratepayers for twice the money, and try to kill solar and wind.

Check it out ---------------------------------------------------------

This is from the Telegraph, a major news outlet of Britain, et al.  You can drop a comment there!

 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/environment/globalwarming/11395516/The-fiddling-with-temperature-data-is-the-biggest-science-scandal-ever.html#sthash.umdH7iKF.dpuf

When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records – on which the entire panic ultimately rested – were systematically “adjusted” to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.

Two weeks ago, under the headline “How we are being tricked by flawed data on global warming”, I wrote about Paul Homewood, who, on his Notalotofpeopleknowthat blog, had checked the published temperature graphs for three weather stations in Paraguay against the temperatures that had originally been recorded. In each instance, the actual trend of 60 years of data had been dramatically reversed, so that a cooling trend was changed to one that showed a marked warming.

This was only the latest of many examples of a practice long recognised by expert observers around the world – one that raises an ever larger question mark over the entire official surface-temperature record.

Ya, stock back here eh!

The warmistas have been lying for almost 2 decades, and because I didn't even take the red pill until 2004, I missed the first decade of their lies....in fact as and engineer and energy guy...I internalized their lies.   How sad is that?

but one big problem with this article.  By their omission of real data, they imply that the "vanishing" of polar ice is an actual issue.    They are slapping the warming lie, but allowing the de-icing lie.

Not allowed...I am the Shepherd of Ice.

Dummies Guide on How To Shut Down Nuclear Plants

Just starting this...it will be a living document.

Inspired by a post at ENENEWS from clamshellernh

  1. We did committees last month
  2. We joined the cape winders with a Boston chapter
  3. Enlarging from ten miles to fifty , that will include boston now ! sent some stuff to legislators put together by the cape downwinders to do that
  4. Making Boston downwinders flyers
  5. Gotta talk to chem about the card being modified to adress us
  6. Evacuation route for boston , we have one but we don't know quite what it means or even if the route considers nuclear , and we of course want it to
  7. Working on bills
  8. This peice of shit must be decommissioned , the folks from the cape cannot escape by the borne bridge with a ten mile exclusion zone I think they have to shelter in place …dreadful situation as that bridge is the only way off cape
  9. And we have another group that does a weekly vigil at Markiesand warrens office
  10. I am grateful to be involved with folks that are heavy hitters in my book anyways that can affect some change
I was getting frustrated for a time
Then we got seabrook to our north thirty or so miles from here …I'm hoping we can open some discourse on that .
And some other stuff I'll be posting here as it comes for any of you in our area that wants to get involved with some ground work
Superb job by the way with your site stock …it took me an hour to get it all on my phone that was stuck in hooterville lol
  11. It's good to see you all again but I had to take a break ..all day every day was colored by Fukushima and it became difficult to enjoy…

Pilgrim Nuclear in Boston Came Very Close to a Large Radiation Release After the Blizzard Shutdown

This article is a compilation of comments at ENENEWS, some of them mine, Wecompiled this on Feb 9, 2015.

On May 27th, the NRC sent a letter to Pilgrim stating that they were dissatisfied with Pilgrim's preparation and performance.   They would likely be subject to increased inspection.
http://manometcurrent.com/nrc-finds-fault-with-pilgrim-stations-winter-storm-shut-down/

Stock here: how about a $100M fine for putting Boston at risk?

Pilgrim was very close to being forced to directly vent radioactive steam into the environment / neighborhood. They used every last line of defense they had, including dumping radioactive steam into the old BWR Torus aka Surge Tank.

Even then the heat in the surge tank got so high, they had to use an emergency heat exchanger to cool the surge tank. Fortunately it worked. If that last piece of equipment had failed it would have been a serious accident with radiation exposure to the public.

Pilgrim had the same types of equipment problems in the last 2 years, and FAILED to fix them, and the NRC failed on adequate follow up.

Instead of shutting down these most dangerous type of plant the BWR reactor, similar to Fukushima which is still dumping radiation into the Pacific Ocean, instead, they attack solar and wind.

------------------------
An excellent analysis, must have taken at least 16 manhours of work---complete with schematic drawings and annotations.

Regarding Pilgrim NPP, they resumed providing electricity to the grid yesterday, Feb 7th.
This is an analysis by the Union of Concerned Scientists of the sequence of events at Pilgrim two weeks ago.
Everything apparently didn't go as smoothly as the folks at Pilgrim would like us to believe.
Credit to the folks of Cape Cod Bay Watch.

Freaking nice report! They had multiple failures of critical emergency equipment, and they kept on reacting from one emergency to the next until they were dumping radioactive steam into the "torus" the big round dump tank at the bottom…the last resort before venting to atmosphere.

An old BWR with a history of the same type of problems….sheesh, that was freaking close. I mean who the heck needs Boston or the East Coast anyway…..only nuclear can save the planet!
