In Hawaii, drinking bottled water in almost a necessity. much of the ground water is tainted by agricultural pesticides, one classic example, when a 50,000 gallon tank leaked, and it happened to be right next to the area well, totally polluting the ground water. Corruption and nepotism in Hawaii is crazy large. It creates this type of thing.
Anyways.....I decided to reduce my carbon footprint, I re-use plastic bottles and fill them from larger containers purchased at 50c per gallon, which is supposedly filtered nicely, even some minerals added for health and taste.
What have you done to reduce your plastic footprint?

Last October scientists at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, in Germany, found that ten rivers—two in Africa and the rest in Asia—discharge 90% of all plastic marine debris. The Yangtze alone carries 1.5m tonnes a year.
