Breaking! University of Hawaii Research Shows Radiation in Hawaii Soil 2016 as Bad as 7 Prefectures in Japan 2 weeks After Fukushima

Story here
http://www.hawaii.edu/news/2016/06/03/geology-graduates-investigate-fukushima-derived-radioactivity-in-hawaii/

1200 Bq/M2 in Hawaii, most from potassium, about 400 Bq/M2 from Radioactive Cesium 137

Most wild mushrooms in Hawaii around 50 Bq/kG, but some as high as 100 Bq/kG

2 weeks after Fukushima the IAEA published findings of ground contamination in 7 prefectures around Fukushima.   These are shown below.

Only 1 Prefecture in Japan exceeded 400 Bq/M2 after Fukushima -- Most of Hawaii now exceeds 400 Bq/M2 of Radioactive Cesium 137.

In the news report covering the release of this University study, a paid industry troll shows up and asks the authors to try to minimize the perception of danger by comparing the radiation level to "bananas".

Also this paid troll, pretending to be a life long expert, doesn't even know basics of measuring and presenting information on radiation.    Bq/M2 is simplistic as shown in this IAEA slide presentation

Then the troll gets schooled by a U of Hawaii Associate Professor......

Cesium concentrations measured in soil in Bq/kg were converted to Bq/m2 using soil bulk densities measured for each soil sample. This way it is possible to estimate the total inventory of deposited cesium per area. It is common to express these quantities in units of Bq/m2 in the scientific literature. For reference these soils samples had 2 to 3 times as much naturally occurring radioactive potassium than cesium.
Bioaccumulation was addressed by looking at mushroom cesium concentrations – you can read about it more in Trista’s thesis:http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/GG/resources/theses/McKenzie_Trista_Senior_Thesis.pdf
and details about the fish study can be found here:
http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/GG/resources/theses/Azouz_Senior_Thesis.pdf
There are no limits for soil Cs content, only for fish, so the 300 Bq/kg limit relates to fish consumption.

  1. Holy Mother Stock, look at 'Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center'. The Nation is lite up like an Christmas tree! At 7:00 AM today of the sites time zone it seems we've been Nuked! I've taken a photo print and posted on my site. This is off the charts!

  2. May Day: Back in Feb of 2015 I'm walking out from the Science and Industry Museum here in Chicago and noticed the Chem Trailers were just too busy! One pilot even made an S trail in the sky, the shit was really thick! So I started tracking Chem Trails, people can call it what they like but I prefer Chem. From charting this we find after heavy Chem Trailing the Geigers spike! The testing from sources we find elements to be coal ash and strontium 90, the combination of these two will set off the Geigers. I will agree this level is short lived in my findings but the concentration as time goes by has yet to be studied.

  3. Your report on the University of Hawaii Research is just mind-boggling and to think 2 weeks ago what's introduced to the nation? Pokemon Go.

    1. Ya, and all the "news" articles about "everything is back to normal after Fukushima"

  4. Wow, we definitely wont see loosy commenting on this one... Stock should be stockin up on kimchi and all them banannas, cause it sounds\looks like yall got some of that "non-existant" fukushima fallout there. Good luck out there in Paradise!

    1. BTW I moved out of Hawaii 3 years ago. When the shite hits the fans, that will be the worst place to be. A corrupt banana republic operating under the guise of a rule of law.

  5. nothing to worry about...at least you wont need to waste money on street light as your glow will light the way

  6. Well, there you go! Fukushima is killing the oceans. How far will it go? How many other Fukushima's will there be on a planet that requires thousands of similar sites to be continuously managed and guarded for hundreds of thousands of years? Like that will happen, yeah right.

How did I know that Fukushima was such a huge event immediately? This was very simple. The mainstream media immediately came out with their talking points that all channels put on all talk shows and articles: "not as bad as Chernobyl". With that sort of reactionary, unscientific coverage that had obviously no investigatory or research based facts to support it, I knew that Fukushima was far worse than Chernobyl. And since then we have discovered that it is many hundreds of times worse, not least of all because it can't be contained. But the same people who managed to put blinders on much of the planet regarding Fukushima have been doing the same things regarding other huge topics that are no less threatening. It is in our interests to demand truth in news and to research to our satisfaction what we believe and remain flexible to changing our opinions as we learn more.

  7. Fukushima was no accident, it was sabotage. The nightclub bombing in Bali was a micro nuke. The rogue nuke player has been loose for years but the media won't touch it. Check out Jim Stone's research at www.jimstone.is He was an NSA analyst in the 1990's and his exposes have withstood scrutiny for the last 5 years that I have been following him.
