Moderated, left comment, Well reality is playing out in economics. The new nuclear plants
being built in Georgia, Vogtle 3 and 4, will cost around $65B to build,
finance, and operate them throughout their life.
That works out to 15 cents per kWH, which does not include transmission, overhead and profit, or long term storage of waste.
The real numbers from Vogtle are here at the link, easy to understand spreadsheet.
That will triple the rate that the poor people of Georgia already pay. The best choice is just abandon the project now.

Typical comment from the troll
Yes, Dear Reader, BEWARE the writings of those who assert facts without providing any way to validate them. Especially beware of those who say things that anyone can disprove by using their own knowledge and common sense.
So, when Denis said, twice, that the temperature of Venus was due to the pressure of its CO2 in the atmosphere, and NOT due to the heat trapping nature of the CO2 itself, everyone should BEWARE of any statements he makes. But, he was honest enough to acknowledge his error, and obviously can learn from his own analysis of situations like that.
So, again, Dear Reader, beware of those who will say things they cannot explain in simple terms, and provide credible sources to validate their assertions.
Cheers.
Hey, stock!
ReplyDeleteDo me a favor please. When trying to post this Petition, disqus or someone marked it as spam:
https://www.change.org/p/united-states-nuclear-regulatory-commission-protect-children-from-radiation-exposure
Can you try to post it via disqus and see what happens?
Also, whenever posting a comment thru disqus and then go straight to Enenews, there's always a "Boeing" ad that shows (in the google ad). Does this happen to you, too?
Take care.
I don't get the Boeing ad.
DeleteHey stock,
ReplyDeleteYou were asking a few days back for info on cesium137 in fish, etc.
"PROOF that fish accumulate a lot of Cesium137 --->
“Pendleton et al. state that Cs137 is even more available to organisms
living in aquatic environments than in terrestrial environments, and,
because of the trophic level effect already cited, predacious fish may
accumulate this nuclide up to 10,000 times the level in the water.
Comar reports that Cs137 is concentrated in the flesh of aquatic organisms
by a factor of 5 to 20 over that of the surrounding water and Gustafson reports high concentrations of Cs137 in fresh water fish.”
Page 29:
http://ufdcimages.uflib.ufl.edu/UF/00/09/82/13/00001/cesium137otherga00roes.pdf
^^^ that document has a lot of good information on cesium137 including how it acts in soil, for example:
"Downward movement of cesium In undisturbed soils is even less than 137 strontium. After five years, 50 to 80 per cent of added Cs remained in the upper 5 centimeters with little penetration below 10 centimeters."
And so much more information. Definitely recommend you sinking your teeth into that doc.
TY anon
DeleteKarl Grossman is on the Board of Directors for Beyond Nuclear. Its on their IRS disclosure. Thought you knew that. That hardly makes his journalism unbiased.
