A Red Herring article by Washington Post Serves to Deflect the Necessary Attention Away From Fukushima By Partly Acknowledging It.

A reader, responding to a king of Red Herring article in the Washington Post had this to say

Ms. Fifield,
Good day. Your treatment of the five-year anniversary of the most dangerous unresolved industrial incident in recorded history is flat and one dimensional. Is this what you intended to write or what the editors permitted?

No mention:

*          tests show growing numbers of children in Fukushima and surroundings with thyroid nodules and cancer;

*          flooding the site with water has caused foundation failures of reactor buildings;

*          the corium are lost. Elvis has left the building. TEPCO's managers say they don't know how to find or recover them; to claim the site is stable is laughable;

*          organized crime procures unskilled workers, sub-standard monitoring of dose exposure, poor record keeping;

*          Tokyo passed a national secrets act to limit reporting of the crisis; the threat of jail keeps journalists sitting on stories documenting ongoing fission events, venting to the sea and atmosphere;

*          downwind and downstream of Fukushima [Alaska and the coast of North America and South America] unusual mortality events have been announced by the USFW; seals, whales, otters, walrus, and polar bears: dead, diseased or strange behavior; steep declines in caribou herd sizes.

You should know that approximately 30 whales died in the waters off Kodiak Island in the summer of 2015. Hundreds of thousands of sea birds [Cassin's auklets, common murres] have similarly died. A recent beach walk in Whittier, Alaska [a few miles east of Anchorage] documented 8,000 dead murres per mile. Most scientists say they are stumped, never seen anything like it. Some are saying the food chain is broken but have no funds to investigate.

All sea stars, from Homer, Alaska to Baja, Mexico have been extirpated. Video shows them 'melting'. Intertidal zones in coastal British Columbia appear to be sterilized of life.

The federal government has done/is doing a lousy job of guiding its major Asian ally toward a resolution of the crisis. Hillary's emails about Fukushima are likely to figure prominently in the FBI investigation. She was free-lancing for the Wall Streeters while employed as SoS. Coverups always end badly. It began five years ago as a 'Keystone Cops' script as detailed in FOIA docs of the NRC crisis team's email and phone calls. The unfolding catastrophe was out of everyone's league and remains so today. Your report fails to provide readers with a factual account of the ongoing crisis. It reminds me of watching a cat do its business.

  1. Bhopal was the worlds worst industrial sister not Fukushima not anything peaceful nuclear energy related. You've been wrong from Day 1. And the knowledgeable world knows that. You're resigned to twist in the wind in some Luddite way. Good luck with that.

    2. No. I read the article. There is no factual basis. If you want fiction and fantasy try Enenews. The Washington Post broke Watergate. No antinuke rag can touch its integrity.

    3. Something from 40 years ago, unrelated to radiation, now you attempt to use that to ad hominem other sources?

    4. That is the stupidest thing i have seen all day.. Sorry to burst your bubble but Fukushima is certainly the worst industrial accident ever created by man so far... no amount of loose nuke talk will ever change that...Run along kid the WaPo is a rag and it would not know integrity if it was nailed to a 2x4 and the whole crew was beaten unconscious with it.

    5. Disagree. You can't bring in one single radiation related death where as I can show you a whole city where people lost their lives overnight. I don't know your mathematical background but 20000 dead overnight is much worse than zero over 5 years. You rely on unproven statistics and epidemiology that biases results yet can't definitively prove a causality years later. I guess you have your opinions and beliefs. Yet those beliefs are not facts. And truth is built on fact. It must be difficult living your life in a constant state of rage against those that took the time and effort to learn about the tech and be in a position to influence the technology directly. My resume is sound. What do you do? Man the vegetable aisles at the local food coop I suspect. I eat organic so there.

    7. When enenews wins a Pulitzer then talk. Until then you realize you have nothing. Not even a pot to pee in. But you do have pot to smoke up to your hearts content. You realize they spray cannabis with pesticides right?

    9. I see on a more realistic timeline in regard to judging what constitues disaster. Looking down a soda straw to make a point does not make you right. Plutonium is a killer. Tons of it were released. It killed a whole ocean. Denying it is criminal. Just because youpro nuke retards hide all the death does not mean it did not happen. Go and look at any beach around the pacific and tell Me there is no death from Fukushima ass hole. As to humans well Japan enacting the state secrets act to keep the game rolling is going to fail. Even the Russians tried to hide the deaths related to Chernobyl and failed. Plutonium half life is 24,000 years... that means it will still be killing for TEN times that before it all decays... Bhopal was a cold in relation to ANY nuclear contamination event. Anyone that knows statistics can prove without doubt the levels of death Nuclear has wrought upon our world. Stupid retards pushing more and more death on humanity is who this Loose Nuke person is and seeing is believing. So reader WHO do you think is more truthful Me or loose nuke? (no answers are needed in visiting rhetorical questions.) A sane man knows the truth. Nice try though bringing up Bhopal and not mentioning Union Carbide... We also see your minimization of disaster there too.

  2. No factual basis for your beliefs. But then again beliefs are not driven by facts. Hate to break it to you but really, the sham is being perpetrated by people who are manipulating you.

    Red pill time for you!

  4. Despite what the nuclear cheerleaders say and/or what the Japanese Government does to stifle the health implications from Fukushima, time will prove that when nuclear goes BAD, both mankind and the Planet suffer.

    Nature can destroy any land based nuclear reactor, any place anytime 24/7 so we are just waiting for the next "event" to occur...

    3. All technology evolves. You people are squawking over your grandfather's nuclear. Don't you think the new nuclear addresses safety and Long lived actinides? Innovation coMessage to all technologies.

    4. Point 1) Australia is stupid to consider nuclear anything. They are desperate because they hung too much reliance on raw materials, and now they are being body slammed. They act out of desperation.
      2) IF the new nuke ever gets going, it still produces damgerous half lives of 300 years...so we have to pay to baby sit that material for 3000 years, how can that ever make sense?

      3) Clean up the freaking mess you arseholes already made before you try to convince me that things will be fine going forward.

    5. 1. Australia acts as a sovereign nation and holds a tremendous uranium reserve. The reactor growth in China and Russia are driving the market.

      2. Some energy industries produce lead, mercury, arsenic that don't have a half life.

      3. Allow burning of actinides. Gone forever. So why bury it and not burn it? Work for elimination not storage. You realize those that advocate storage are against burning. Why is that. The kinetics and walk away safety has been demonstrated. Engineering is about solutions not complaining.

    6. CaptD nature can destroy the earth with a gamma ray burst. And you wouldn't even know ithat until it's too late. So what's your point. We saw Katrina. Real deaths. Not statistics.

    11. Well this person is too stupid to see the idiocy they type. Every one looking can see a nuke killer. Nobody is fooled by your screeds. We are going to kill NUCLEAR i can assure everyone. Kill it dead. Everyone involved in the contamination will work the cleanup or commit suicide. You nuke pimps cannot keep mankind in the dark for too much longer. I see your end coming. The good lord will educate you i have zero doubts.
