ReplyDeleteDid you ever hear about Fukushima. A cascade of failures, similar to what is happening at USA nuclear plants. Using up the defense in depth. Putting us all at risk. Even if an event does not happen this year, we were still put at risk.

Your table of earthquakes is a nonstandard. First off nuclear plants are not designed to Richter Scale but ground acceleration. Second these magnitudes are inconsequential to producing ground acceleration that challenges any design basis. Third, Japan is on the Ring of Fire. What do you expect?
