Robert Kennedy -- Slandered By His Niece -- And Not Allowed to Defend Himself

by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.Children’s Health Defense
January 5, 2021

The “right of reply” — the opportunity to defend oneself against public criticism in the same venue where that criticism was published — is a constitutional right in some European countries and in Brazil. The BBC’s editorial guidelines state:

“When our output makes allegations of wrongdoing, iniquity or incompetence or lays out a strong and damaging critique of an individual or institution the presumption is that those criticized should be given a “right of reply,” that is, given a fair opportunity to respond to the allegations.”

Even where there is no legal right, respectable journalistic outlets, including the New York Times, have traditionally regarded it as their moral, ethical and professional obligation to publish the replies by people who have been criticized in their pages.

The Times, which claims to encourage the expression of “a diversity of views” on its letters page, formerly extended this courtesy automatically to public figures who suffered criticism in its pages. But the paper draws the line at anyone who questions orthodoxies promoted by the ascending Medical Cartel. The practice of reporting only facts and opinions that comply with  official narratives has long been de rigueur in electronic media outlets dependent on Pharma advertising revenues.

On Saturday, my niece published an error-filled and defamatory article about me on the Times editorial page. I immediately submitted the thoroughly sourced letter below.

Yesterday, the Times let me know that they would decline to print my reply.

Orwellian censorship and the gaslighting of dissent in service to the interests of Big Pharma has more recently become universal in the liberal print and online news sites once presumed to be the antidote to corporate subversion of democracy.

In May 2019, three of my other family members similarly defamed me in a long article in Politico. Politico likewise declined to print my thoroughly sourced reply.

Neither of these long critiques by my family members cite a single example of a factual error by me. Their complaint is that I question official pronouncements about vaccine safety.

It’s a bad omen for democracy when citizens can no longer conduct civil, informed debates about critical policies that impact the vitality of our economy, public health, personal freedoms and constitutional rights. Censorship is violence and this systematic muzzling of debate which proponents justify as a measure to curtail dangerous polarization is actually fueling those divisions.

It is most ironic to me that it is self-identified liberals and liberal journals — once the most energetic first amendment champions — who are most fiercely calling for censorship. It is self-identified human rights advocates who are supporting government policies that trample our constitutional rights. We might recall, at this strange time in our history, my father’s friend, Edward R. Murrow’s warning that: “The right to dissent … is surely fundamental to the existence of a democratic society. That’s the right that went first in every nation that stumbled down the trail to totalitarianism.”

As Murrow predicted, the imposition censorship has masked the systematic demolition of our constitution including attacks on freedom of worship (including abolishing religious exemptions and closing churches), freedom of assembly, private property (the right to operate a business), due process (including the imposition of far reaching restrictions against freedom of movement, education, association with notice and comment rule making) and the 7th amendment right to jury trials (in cases of vaccine injuries caused by corporate negligence).

Those policies are obliterating the middle class, shifting trillions of dollars to billionaires, dismantling all the social programs created by Democrats since the New Deal and sweeping away the obstacles against our country’s dark slide into authoritarian plutocracy anathema to every value of democracy, liberalism and humanity.

Here’s my letter — which the New York Times refused to publish — in response to the op-ed by my niece, Dr. Kerry Meltzer:

Without offering any examples of factual errors, my niece, Dr. Kerry Meltzer, accuses me of spreading “vaccine misinformation,” a term currently applied to any statement that departs from official pronouncements, regardless of its truth.

The term’s traditional definition might encompass Kerry’s claim that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is safe because it caused life threatening anaphylaxis in only 11 of 2.1 million recipients (1/200,000). Rate of adverse events, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is 1 in 42 — based on the first week’s distribution of more than 200,000 vaccines, with more than 5,000 reports of individuals incapacitated to the point that they missed work or had to seek medical attention. This outcome is likely to increase, as clinical trials for both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines suggest that the second shot of the vaccine series leads to far higher injury rates.

Pfizer’s mRNA vaccines use a novel vaccine technology never before used on human subjects. On Sept. 25, I wrote a letter to Dr. Fauci — who Kerry cites as her reliable authority for vaccine safety — warning that the polyethylene glycol (PEG) -coated nanoparticles in the mRNA vaccines were likely to cause anaphylaxis in vulnerable recipients. Dr. Fauci ignored that warning.

FDA now acknowledges that PEG is the probable culprit in the anaphylactic reactions. The COVID pandemic is the third time since Dr. Fauci arrived at National Institutes of Health that the federal government rushed out vaccines for a potential pandemic.

In 1976, 45 million Americans received a vaccine for a disease that didn’t exist, before hundreds of cases of paralyzing Guillain Barre’ syndrome resulted, ending the program.

In 2009, rushed vaccines for swine flu caused seizures in 1/100 Australian children and 1,300 cases of debilitating narcolepsy in European children before the program was discontinued. A month earlier, Dr. Fauci appeared on TV to assure the world that the vaccines were safe.

The mRNA vaccines are experimental drugs with potential for long-term harm. It’s only prudent to demand — as I have — proper testing and to treat the claims of interested government and industry officials with appropriate skepticism.

Online platforms are hastily cutting ties with President Donald Trump and his ilk after years of milquetoast responses to the hateful and violent rhetoric fomenting under their watch, and all it took was a deadly insurgency at the nation’s capital. However, Mozilla says deplatforming doesn’t go far enough and has called for investigations and increased transparency into how sites target users for advertising and content recommendations.

And Parler also attacked

https://gizmodo.com/google-kicks-parler-off-its-app-store-and-apple-may-so-1846024115

Updated: 1/9/2021, 8:24 p.m. ET: Apple has finally pulled the trigger! On Saturday Apple followed Google’s lead and purged Parler’s app from its app store. The social network’s sales pitch of being “the world’s premier free speech platform” has turned it into a breeding ground for deplatformed conservatives who reportedly used Parler among other sites to plan this week’s assault on the Capitol.

In a letter to Parler’s developers shared with Gizmodo, Apple said it found the company’s proposed content moderation measures “inadequate to address the proliferation of dangerous and objectionable content” on its platform. On Friday, Apple reportedly gave Parler 24 hours to implement stricter moderation policies or risk getting kicked from its app store.

In Parler’s response, which is only mentioned in part in the letter, the company referenced implementing some kind of moderation plan “for the time being” and creating a temporary “task force” to tackle the spread of harmful content. Apple deemed these measures insufficient and added that it had continued to find posts containing objectionable content on the platform, a violation of its app store guidelines. For those reasons, Parler’s app will be banned from Apple’s app store until it becomes compliant with App Store Review Guidelines and the company has proved it can “effectively moderate and filter the dangerous and harmful content” on Parler.

“We have always supported diverse points of view being represented on the App Store, but there is no place on our platform for threats of violence and illegal activity,” said an Apple spokesperson. “Parler has not taken adequate measures to address the proliferation of these threats to people’s safety. We have suspended Parler from the App Store until they resolve these issues.”

In a post on the platform Saturday, Parler CEO John Matze said that Apple was displaying a “horrible double standard” and had banned the app until its developers “give up free speech” and turned Parler into “a surveillance platform.” He also promised that more details about Parler’s next steps are “coming soon.” Presumably it involves creating a safe space where those big tech meanies can’t tell them what to do.

Pelosi Says "Desecration", US Capital is Not A Sacred Temple of Democracy, But The Sleaziest Brothel In The World

 Big Mahalo to Lot's Wife:

--------------------------------------

Find here a potent and cogent analysis of the events in DC over the the last few days. It’s thorough so it is lengthy. The essay contains a photographer's account of activity on the south side of the capitol grounds, including conversations with direct participants.

An equally thoughtful but more acerbic analysis is found here.

Nicholas J. Fuentes, critic and firebrand (banned at YT and Twitter), attended the DC event. Responding to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s comments about ‘desecrations”, he wrote,  "The US Capitol is hardly a "sacred temple of democracy, it's the sleaziest brothel in the world, totally bought and controlled by powerful interest groups and foreign governments. Who are they kidding?”

Links in both essays extend and enlarge coverage.

Here’s the DailyMail's photo stories of the event. Less an insurrection, more like a police-guided circus parade.

With the foregoing as context, review what you’ve learned about the same events from the MSM. Disparities and falsities abound. Why?

Because Americans place too much trust in the (Soros-controlled) press and the majority of us don’t take self-government seriously. We farm it out to wonks who get comprised by cash and sweet-talking lobbyists who sell the farm to nation-states eager to stick a knife in Uncle Sam’s ribs. Swamped with anxiety over health and financial issues, most Americans are unaware of national threat assessment and containment services. Weapon makers, think tanks, and Congress siphoning spigots of taxpayer cash (trillion$) while most Americans peddle faster, worry more. Many know the spin but awareness still lacks critical mass. Propaganda peddled by the MSM diverts attention.

Analyze the obstacles; advise options.

They should give this guy an Academy Award. The conservatives are in full blown spin control trying to pin the riot on the left. However, America and the world saw who they were, they were Trump supporters!

Obviously, much of this was staged and planned.....video of the DC cops just letting the people flow in.   Refusal of extra help from Trump admin.  Corrupt black fat DC female mayor.

What appears to be a fake shooting, and 3 other fake deaths

The total BS of an "insurrection" -- running rats out of this house of filth would only be a very temporary thing in any event.   Killing them all would have been somewhat more effective in sending a message, but it still would not "remove or replace the government system".

UPDATE: Originally I thought there was no certainty that anyone was actually killed.    And that idea should remain.   It is more likely they fabricated this in order to create outrage.

stock here: This is NOT justified shooting.

She had no weapon, and the Police were quite far away, and not that it really matters beyond what I already said...but they did not give any orders for her to stop. Someone was instructed to create a death, and went for a head shot.

I'll put this up on bitchute also. Here is a side view that doesn't really capture the shooting And listening to CNN is an amazing joke...

The Reported Death of A Female: A Ploy To Divide The Military Against Trump: "Death" In Question Was Of A 14 year Veteran Pretty Attractive Female

On the day of the "event" I just saw some very blurry pictures of a person, and some red stuff.

Amazing that even phone cameras are so good, but we get this bogus pixalated shit all the time.   Its a tell.

But the next day, I realized at least part of the truth....Obviously under the super corrupt leadership of DC Mayor installed Muriel Bowser, who directed DC police to allow the "invasion" of the capital.

So supposedly then, a cop shot an unarmed woman?   But their is no call for his resignation, or even an investigation?

And just one shot?  Because all cops are trained to at least double tap.

So the story stinks to high heaven.

My epiphany is that it is a story meant to drive a wedge between the military (she is a veteran) and President Trump.

And today's storyline

“You have a mayor who hates guns. If it was up to me, we wouldn’t have any handguns in the District of Columbia. I swear to protect the Constitution and what the courts say, but I will do it in the most restrictive way as possible.” – D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser [via washingtonpost.com]

Misguided Use of Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19The Infusion of Politics Into Science

JAMA. 2020;324(21):2161-2162. doi:10.1001/jama.2020.22389

This issue of JAMA contains yet another study, and certainly among the best published to date, demonstrating the lack of efficacy of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).1 This study, from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute PETAL Clinical Trials Network, focused on hospitalized patients with moderate to severe disease. In this well-conducted, appropriately powered clinical trial, the authors randomized 479 patients to receive hydroxychloroquine (400 mg twice daily for 2 doses, then 200 mg twice daily for 8 doses) (n = 242) or placebo (n = 237). The trial was stopped early at the fourth interim analysis for futility. For the primary outcome, clinical status at 14 days measured on a 7-category ordinal scale, there was no significant difference between the hydroxychloroquine and placebo groups (median [interquartile range {IQR}] score, 6 [4-7] vs 6 [4-7]; adjusted odds ratio, 1.02 [95% CI, 0.73-1.42]). None of the 12 secondary outcomes were significantly different between groups, including mortality at 28 days: 10.4% in the hydroxychloroquine group vs 10.6% in the placebo group (absolute difference, −0.2% [95% CI, −5.7% to 5.3%]; adjusted odds ratio, 1.07 [95% CI, 0.54 to 2.09]).1 Thus, the results conclusively show no benefit of hydroxychloroquine over placebo.

Several published rigorous studies have demonstrated similar findings. In the well-conducted clinical trials published to date, hydroxychloroquine has been evaluated in a wide variety of populations, ranging from patients with severe illness2-4 to individuals at risk of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, in whom the drug was used as primary prophylaxis5; these studies failed to show any beneficial effect of the drug. This raises the question: How did medicine get to the point where so many studies were conducted assessing the possible benefit of hydroxychloroquine, that led to nearly identical findings, and have been published in major journals?

To answer the question, it is important to reflect on the COVID-19 pandemic as it unfolded in early 2020. The epidemic was beginning to inundate health care systems in many of the major cities of the world, including the US.

Early in the pandemic, many patients were severely ill, with fever, cough, and respiratory distress, and no specific treatment was available. Patients’ fear of not knowing what was coming next was harrowing. The disease process was not clearly defined and clinicians had no way to predict what would happen to those patients in the coming weeks, had nothing to offer other than symptomatic and supportive care, and were being overwhelmed by increasing numbers of critically ill patients and high COVID-19–associated mortality rates. Both patients and clinicians were desperate.

Enter hydroxychloroquine. On March 16, 2020, a study on use of hydroxychloroquine in patients with SARS-CoV-2 was “published” (online via YouTube) by Gautret et al6 (followed 4 days later as a preprint in the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents) and purportedly demonstrated “a rapid and effective speeding up of their healing process, and a sharp decrease in the amount of time they remained contagious.” This open-label, nonrandomized study included only 36 hospitalized patients with documented SARS-CoV-2 infection at admission, regardless of clinical status. Among 26 patients who received hydroxychloroquine, 6 were lost during follow-up because of early cessation of treatment, and of the remaining patients, at day 6 after treatment, 70% (14/20) were virologically “cured” compared with 12.5% (2/16) in the control group (P = .001).6 All 6 patients who received the combination of hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin (500 mg on day 1 followed by 250 mg per day for the next 4 days) were polymerase chain reaction negative for SARS-CoV-2 in the nasopharynx. The preliminary data from this small study was “heard round the world.”

These findings suggestive of possible benefit, along with the desperation of clinicians who were providing care for patients with a potentially fatal disorder for which there was no treatment, undoubtedly contributed to increased use of hydroxychloroquine for patients with COVID-19, despite lack of rigorous evidence for efficacy.

However, the politicization of the treatment was a more important factor in promoting interest in use of this drug. On April 4, the US president, “speaking on gut instinct,” promoted the drug as a potential treatment and authorized the US government to purchase and stockpile 29 million pills of hydroxychloroquine for use by patients with COVID-19.7 Of note, no health official in the US government endorsed use of hydroxychloroquine owing to the absence of robust data and concern about adverse effects. Nonetheless, use of hydroxychloroquine increased substantially, and the US Food and Drug Administration had issued an Early Use Authorization for the use of hydroxychloroquine as treatment for COVID-19 on March 28, 2020,7 which was later revoked on June 15, 2020, following further examination of preliminary data.8

These events sparked an avalanche of studies, many of which are now completed and are being reported in the scientific literature. These well-conducted trials, including the study reported in this issue of JAMA, demonstrate the lack of efficacy of hydroxychloroquine in patients with COVID-19. In a twist of irony, the US president did not receive hydroxychloroquine, with or without azithromycin, when he contracted COVID-19 and was hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in early October.9
